Ek Aisa Jhooth….Epi Mar 15
So, here we are with the 100th episode. I know some of us were disappointed because there were no sweet AsYa or mitwa moments but we have to remember, Qubool Hai is not only AsYa's story. It's a story about two families, torn away by deceit, betrayal and broken relationships. All the characters are equally important although majority of us would think AsYa are the focal point of this story. Yes, to a certain extent they are, but to take their story forward, the other elements are equally important.
The scene that stood out for me today was Dilshaad and Asad's conversation in the car. The punch line and a peek into the future storyline were well depicted.
"Ek aisa jhooth jo sach ke libaas mein khada hua hai"
"Tum apne sach ko sach maano ,main apne sach ko sach maanti hoon."
"Sach apne aap saamne aa jayega"
"Kya sach hai, yeh tho waqt hi bataayega."
The makers are giving us a big hint here. Be patient, and the truth will be out gradually.
Why was there so much emphasis on the truth? That's because a lot of the characters have been living with an illusion; believing in the faade rather that the reality. The serial has just completed 100 episodes, laying the foundation for all of us to judge who is right and who is wrong.
Razia: prime example of someone who has tried to hide the truth in multiple layers of lies. She has fooled Shireen for years that she cares about Rashid and her more than anyone else. Yeah, right! We all know the series of lies she has spoken in the first 100 episodes. Now, that we are transitioning into the next century, are we going to see some of these layers come off? Ayaan, Rashid and Badi B have already started tugging at these layers. Let's hope they can succeed in uncovering all these lies.
Siddiqui: According to Razia, "unhein rishton se zyaada apna imaan zyaada pyaara hai." Yeah, right! If that were the case, would he have approved of murdering his first love (assuming that's the case)?
Tanveer: The latest addition (IMO) to this faade. Her antics with the doll and the phone today were more than suspicious. Most of us had guessed yesterday that she would change the recording. That frantic phone call was probably first made to Razia and then she tried to reach Asad/Zoya later. The doll that was buried under the leaves has finally made an appearance but unfortunately, with a false recording. Just like Zoya is being replaced by Tanveer in the Khan household, the doll with the new recording represents this change in the dynamics. The truth is being replaced by lies. Unfortunately, like Asad believed the false recording on the doll (can't blame him though), he will believe in Tanveer till the truth comes out.
Asad: Asad holds his beliefs as the absolute truth. No matter what, no one can convince him otherwise. He has refused to believe in Rashid's innocence and of course, refuses to acknowledge that he might be in love with the 'wrong' girl. He is adamant about his beliefs and unless something drastic happens, he will continue to believe in what he perceives as the truth. So, in the next phase of this serial, will we see his truth being shattered? Will he learn to see beyond this 'libaas' that hides the real truth?
Rashid: A person who has lived a life of lies for the past 17 years is probably most eager to shed these layers and live with the truth.
So, let's not get disheartened guys. We need to welcome this next phase of the serial with open arms. Of course, there will be a transitional period which might not be palatable to all. Unfortunately, without this transitional phase, where the layers of lies have to be peeled one by one, we won't be able to enjoy the real fruits of true love and true relationships.
