According to our indian citizenship law an indian citizen can't be citizen of another country at the same time.
But according to our law a nri who later accept citizenship of another country still apply for pio card which means person of indian origion certificate to indian consulate.
A pio card is very significant.
A person who has pio card needs no visa to come india and stay in india.
In the case of zoya it is very clear she born in india and her parents were indian citizen.
so zoya farooqi was an indian citizen by birth.
But later accept us citizenship.
But as she was an indian citizen by birth she is very much eligable for person of indian origion certificate.
She should get pio certificate from indian embessy not visa.
If she gets pio card.
She can come india india anytime and stay here.

Agreed. Zoya does not need a visa . She can get a PIO card easily and PIO card holders can stay in India for long. I am saying this from my personal experience. Her parents are from India right. I mean her mom.

That was something I didn't know. Thanks for the info😳 This must have not clicked her or the CVs. CVs should bring this point. Let's see what happens.

Even POI card does not allow the individual to stay in the c**try for more than 6 months continuously... so I guess that's what they meant.
They might have used the term Visa so people can relate to it...

Well it is fairly easy for a person to stay in India if u are of Indian origin but u leave in abroad.

You just have to have Overseas Citizen of India visa in your residential country's visa & that is as good as dual citizenship. And that is life long. With that you can stay, come in & out of India how many times you want & nobody questions.

This is in effect dual citizenship. I guess the cvs need to think from this angle 😊
