Chapter 4

"Help! Help!" Tanveer's voice could be heard. Dilshad was intrigued by what she was hearing. Was she dreaming? or what it really Tanveer's cry?. she finally decided to check on her.

As she flung open the door, Tanveer threw her arms around her and started to sob like a little kid whose lollipop has been stolen.

Dilshad,worried, cupped her face and gently asked her "Beta, what happened? why are you crying?"

"Khaala... that..that..wo..woman...she...she..was...here...just...a..few..minutes..ago...", Tanveer finally managed to reply in between sobs.

"Who? Which woman,beta?", Dilshad questioned.

"That...whisp...", she stopped midway, remembering the promise she made to Zoya.

"Tell me,dear..", Dilshad said, patting her shoulder.

"Khaala.. I want to rest a bit.. I'm feeling tired...", she replied.

"Are you fine?", asked Dilshad.

"Ya Khaala.. I'm okay."

"Okay dear, go and rest yourself. If you need anything, just ask Najma. She'll be right here with you.You'll feel much better in her presence."

"No khaala.. I'm fine..promise..don't disturb Najma..I'm really feeling okay."

"Hmmm..you're so stubborn..just like Asad. Now go to sleep. I'm sure you'll be fit & fine when you wake up.", Dilshad said, shutting the bedroom door.

"Who was whispering my name? Who was the woman beside my window? What are her aims? Why is she here,bothering me? making my life hell? turning my peaceful life upside down?"

Tanveer was becoming mad thinking about all those questions. She needed an answer to all of her questions and that too, as soon as possible or it might be too late. She might regret later on... and... the only person who could help her is Zoya. Yes Zoya!

"I need to talk to her in the morning.. ", she thought.

In the dining room

"Good morning everybody!" Zoya greeted as she sat down to have breakfast.

"Mornin' Zoe ", Najma lazily replied.

Dilshad: "Good morning Beta. How are you?"
Zoya: "I'm good! What's there for breakfast today?"
Dilshad: "Pancakes,blueberries..and Orange juice."
Zoya: "Oh wow! My favourite! Thanks Phoopi. You're the best.Love you!"
Dilshad smiled as she served her the food.

Zoya: "Phoopi, where's Tanveer and..Mr Khan?..they're nowhere to be seen."

Dilshad: "I don't know,Beta. They must be getting ready to come down. I forgot to tell you. Actually, yesterday, when you went to your room to sleep,Tanveer was not feeling well. She was crying really hard. I don't know what happened to her. She was hesitating to tell me. So, I gave up on asking her. Maybe you can do something about this."

Zoya: "Really Phoopi? I didn't know. Why didn't you tell me about her?"
Dilshad: "It's okay dear. She could finally recover although not entirely but she dozed off to sleep."

"Allah Miyan!.. Phoopiii! Be right back! I've some work to do!", Zoya said as she started to run towards her room.

Dilshad: "Crazy girl!"

"Hey! What's up with the whisper thing? You're such an amazing actress. I mean, seriously.. you scared her to death.. The poor soul was crying a river yesterday. Phoopi just told me about her." Zoya was saying to her best friend,Jessie on the phone.

"Thank you...Thank you.. I'm blushing.. ha ha..", her friend replied on the other end.

"Miss Farooqui!!", an angry voice called out to her.

Zoya turned around to see a visibly furious Asad standing in her room.

Zoya: "Hey Jessie, I'll hang up now. I'll call you later. Bye!"

Acting like nothing had happened, Zoya, getting into her typical avatar,replied: "Hey Mr Khan! What a surprise that you're here! Come and have a seat. It's your own house anyway.Don't hesitate. Make yourself comfortable!"

Asad: "I'm not here to make myself comfortable, Miss Farooqui! Get that clear in your mind!

"Oh! Nevermind. Okay, so what's up?", Zoya replied, smiling widely.

"I'm here for something important, something serious. I'm not here to crack jokes. Life is not a joke. Stop messing around with people's lives. You take everything for granted? Don't you?.. You think that life is something you can play with? You know very well what I'm talking about.. Stop showing that stupid innocent look."

Zoya's face turned pale and her beautiful smile faded.Things were getting really serious..

Ahh... I hate dis AKDU AHEMAD KHAN. He z so stuborn, specialy in Zoya's case.

if i ws in Asad's place i nvr thnk of hurtng her or rude 2 her.
I mean look at her, she z beautiful yr..
Hw cn sm 1 talk so rudely wid out knwng de reason.
Ya i knw Asad don't do dis intentionaly bt,... Phir v...
Anyways, cm 2 updt dn it ws fantastic. I wonder wht hpnd next. Bt m sure both will end wid a v war.
