I also started noticing how much the relatively normal girl started obsessing over 'Ideal Love' - She changed her FB Display picture to this Hair less Tattoo overdose guys pic with what seemed like wife number nth with a strange caption: Arman Ridzz lives in KaJen FOREVER -followed by an obscene stream of hearts * sparkles! Her cover photo changed from that of her mom to some dog she like to call 'Grover baby Breezer!' (and seriously he is anything BUT a baby!)

An Eyes-out-of-socket-WTH-expression-mouth-so-wide-I-could-beat-a-Venus-Fly-Trap was the only reaction I could give her!

I then watched many an episode of Qubool Hai and actually enjoyed the show until I got to how Mr-Perfect whack's the crap out of the rather bubbly Zoya chick (who I became quite fond of actually) Outraged I set out to find a place where I could discuss this issue and as I rage-searched the net... BANG!!! I found the motherboard of KSGians, I-Gush-OVER-Jennyians & QH Fever board- To be honest I liked this place, so I followed it for a few days until I realized people here were cool to forget that our 'Very Hot Eye Candy Asad' did something outrageous and I'm not the only one who noticed.

Honestly I have been miffed about the portrayal of women on Indian TV, specially the PH in discussion here.

There have been past and present portrayals of women that have totally taken me aback. It's very contrary to the fact that the women who are making these shows are not overtly suppressed and exercise the right to freedom and equality. Then why show a woman being subjected to violence and misery?

You make very salient points my friend, and you possess a mighty gift of the wit - thanks for making me laugh all the way through. Taking the Zee tweet, it just sounds really hypocritical of them does it not? It amazes and saddens me the avenues people resort to for the sake of TRP's. I know demand should equal supply and all that jazz but don't some people have a conscience? The problem is desensitization here... Indian telly has made this "un-real love" cool and desirable. And the majority of audiences passively accept it. And not only that, they mightily resist against change. They are like stubborn babies who need to be dragged screaming and kicking out of their heart-shaped fantasy worlds. This is a positive step by Zee BUT the portrayal in QH totally undermines their credibility. They are merely jumping on the bandwagon for the sake of hype. And that is a BITTER FACT.

Also, unfortunately, I regret to tell you, that since your post falls in the minority pov group, it will be very shortly closed. The afore-mentioned "fanbotwas" I bet have descended upon the report button like locusts. Also, since you are a Newbie, you will very soon be accused of being an "MID" - google it if you are not familiar with the term - people in this forum like putting new members in a box and the MID box with red warning signs labelled "basher" is their absolute favourite, especially if you do not come out guns blazing praising the male leads what and what nots. Those of us who cannot be put into boxes, we scare the livin' daylights outta them since they have to tolerate us on what they consider their exclusive drooling turf. Like we commit sacrilage just by being here. Yes my friend, you are behind enemy lines now and best of luck with that. I speak from personal experience. I hope you're outfitted for battle.
