The fact Gul Khan did this really disappoints me. Coming from a woman this is such a let down. And the cheering on an excitement of the women here to see this as something of a turn on or making Asad look sexy and tough? 🤢

The women who find this sexy are just SICK in the head. they should go watch that show "Dil se di dua, saubhagyavati bhava" cuz its FULL of domestic and spousal abuse. sure be a major turn on for them

Actually i didn't expected 2 see Asad slapping Zoya, but at that moment, he was also lost in thougts between what happened to his mom, what his mamu said & the fact that Zoya was hiding Mariyam at home...He was angry & Zoya came 2 talk 2 him, I guess he didn't want to listen or see her at that moment & he did slap her without thinking.

Wow, I am actually shocked (and kind of worried) for people on this forum who are defending Asad's actions and even justifying the violence. And to think that most of the members on I-F are women! I just hope no one thinks that such abusive behavior or violence could turn into romance in real life.

I mean, I love KSG as any other fan, but this is the character he's portraying we're talking about-- who just lost any redeeming quality. I agree, it was unnecessary to degrade Asad's character to this level. Going by this, I wonder if redemption and even guilt is in order for our HERO.

Firstly, I totally agree with your post, Rafi. Having Asad hit Zoya kind off ruined his character for me today !! The one thing I truly believe in real life is that when a guy hits you, no matter what the reason is, you walk out the door !!

So, to see Asad, a man who has such high principles and hold women in high regard cause of his mother, hit Zoya was a little off his character for me and it did make me go WTH ASAD ??!! When I heard Zoya say Mr.Khan, I expected him to punch the wall, any THING to show her that she's the last person he wants to talk to right now but I did not expect him to actually hit her, and that too so hard that she stumbles upon the medical trolley and cut herself. A guy should NEVER EVER hit a girl, no matter what the reason may be !!

Though I find that this act degraded Asad's character a little, I also have to say that I can't help but see a little logic into why the writers may have written this scene. We all know that Asad gets mad at Zoya quite a lot, most of the time it ends with him just saying hurtful things to her, other more severe times have called upon the punching bag or his poor phone being broken to pieces.

But this time, it wasn't just Zoya alone. It was the fact that he trusted her once and she broke it by hiding Mariam in the house. Then he gives her another chance by making sure that she sends Mariam away and right now, in his mind, she has broken his trust twice by still keeping Mariam in the house. Though we know Zoya did what he wanted and it was Dilshad who brought Mariam back, Asad is still in the impression that this all started and ended cause of Zoya. Add all this to the fact that the person closest to his heart, his Ami is fighting for dear life, no man can think rationally right now, especially a person who is as hot tempered as Asad Ahmed Khan.

So, in a way, Asad's blow out of hitting Zoya is understandable cause degrading as the act may be, the causes that lead to the act are things that are suppose to bring an extreme reaction out of Asad. Still, I maintain that the extreme reaction could have also been punching the wall or anything else than hitting Zoya. That was just not done and I hope the creatives keep that in mind the next time they want Asad to blow up in front of Zoya cause I would NEVER EVER want to see Asad or any guy in any show hit Zoya or any other girl in other shows !!

When we would never want such things to happen in real life, we also should not let it happen in shows too, even though they may be fictional cause it leaves a bad impression at the end of the day !!

Abby I would have TOTALLY sympathised with Asad had he not hit Zoya. Despite him not knowing Zoya is innocent (not so much) his anger would STILL be justified. I mean it IS his mom on deathbed.

BUT slapping her, ACTUALLY slapping her is just SO neandearthal and sickening. And what's worse is that some females are actually finding this action of Asad's 'Hot' and 'Manly' .

ARE YOU SERIOUS ?! What 'Man' would hit a lady half his size with such ferocity ?!

Like someone mentioned in the replies, itd have been perfectly OK for Asad to Yell at Zoya and throw her out even without hearing her out. I'd actually forgive him this time if he yelled at her without bothering to hear her side of the story. Cuz paani ab sarr se upar jaa chuka hai and his mom has just been shot and its natural for anyone to lose it. BUT physical abuse is JUST unacceptable. I can't see how they can ever redeem Asad's character after this ... Whatever they try will be contrived and just-for-the-heck of it. This sudden plunge from Man-of-principals to Oaf-with-a-fist is just DISGRACEFUL

But that isnt the point. The point is why must they take a man who may be old fashioned but is still supposed to be a gentleman, a protector and a good guy and suddenly shatter all of that. And I would understand his literally taking Zoya's bags and kicking her out of the house, or cursing the f*** out of her but why did he have to do the one thing that he can never redeem himself from?

Because no matter what anyone says and no matter what the situation...a MAN never hits a girl.

Oh trust me sister, fangirls willl say anything to justify the actions of their onscreen 'Hot-wa' . If a man hits a woman, its .. 'HOT', didn't you know !!! And as long as he has 6-pack abs and a chiseled jaw-line, anything is justifiable !

As far as I am concerned Asad is ruined for me. there just is no redemption.

And after all this if Zoya decides to run into his arms ... I am just gonna have to shake my head in resignation for the sad state of affairs in our counry

Agreed. He could've done anything but slap her. Kick her out, yell at her, punch the wall, anything but never ever hit a woman no matter what. I always thought Asad is a a gentleman and he held high regard for women but today he proved me wrong. I don't know if I'll be ever able to call him gentle man again. NO sorry or redemption can redeem this slap. I just can't digest that slap.

I try not to watch such emotional episodes when they air with KSG. This man is such a brilliant actor that he makes me cry, feel his pain every single time. He makes it look so damn real. Hats off KSG. But anyways, that's not the point of my post. Slap was so not needed and nothing can redeem this action by Asad. I don't know if I'd want Zoya to fall in love iwth a man who slapped her!

Exactly. More than the writers or some fictional character, I'm worried about the 'positive' and 'warm' response such a despicable act is receiving from the female audience. Psysical violence is not only been considered with such a forgiving perspective but actually GLORIFIED. No wonder men here get away with domestic violence cuz its just another expression of their mardaangi.
