Asad hears the gunshot, he drops the phone and left the office in a haste. His eyes gleaming with terror. When he got to the house, he saw Mariam standing over someone with the phone in her hand. He dropped to his knees to find that Dilshad has been shot. Mariam told him she already phoned the ambulance. Asad weeps for Dilshad and meanwhile Mariam is pleading on how sorry she is to have caused this to her family. Dilshad weakened by the gunshot wound struggles to open her eyes and holds Asad's hand and calls Zoya. Then it occurred to Asad that Zoya is nowhere to be found. He enquires about her from Mariam. Mariam fumbles on her words and finally gathered enough courage to say that Zoya ran after the guy who shot Dilshad.
Asad eyes grew with fright. He thought to himself why does Zoya act so stupid all the time and can't stop getting into trouble. He then made up his mind that he was not going to leave his mother's side. Najma returns home from school and sees the commotion. Asad tells her everything. Najma sits beside him on the ground. The ambulance finally arrived and took Dilshad and Najma and Mariam went in the ambulance with her. Asad agreed to follow in his car. As soon as he touched the door on his way out of the house, all the mitwa moments flashed across his eyes remembering Zoya. Following this, he heard her say Allah Miyah Mr. Khan what's wrong with you...his keys drops, he suddenly realizes he was lost in thoughts. He whispered, 'Zoya'. He left the house, but the determination in his eyes showed that he was going to look for Zoya. He thought to himself that Dilshad was in good hands.
He was angry with Zoya but worried...he thought to himself that he must find her no matter what. He wonders about how he can find her. He tries calling her...but futile. He decides to contact the police and tell them the entire story. He didn't want to involve the police in the fear that Mariam's family act out against his family. But he had no choice. The police arranged a search hunt for Zoya and they protested that Asad goes home. On his way home he got a phone call... Zoya whispers painfully " Mr. Khan"
