When do you think people fall in love? At what age? 20 and above, right? But for Asad and Zoya it was love at first sight. From the time they were born, people of the town knew they were made for each other. As time passed they kept getting closer and as soon as they turned 18, they got married with the support of all their town mates. But destiny had something else planned for them. Asad wanted to become famous, be someone who the world would run after just to catch a glimpse of and Zoya, well, all she ever wanted was to be with Asad.
One day Asad just left, left for the better, maybe. It's been 9 years since she saw him last. Zoya had been living in their outhouse all alone. Okay correction. With their dog Bryant. Who was a darling to her at all times. But perhaps couldn't fill in the void of a husband in her life.
Now Asad has returned to his home town Alabama after 9 long years. Not to get his love back. But to put behind his mistake and move ahead with a gorgeous lady he'd met in New York. He was back to be granted a legal divorce and he had to do this to keep his future happy, his own self happy. But when he realizes that Zoya, his so called wife, is as arrogant as him and wouldn't sign the paper, what is the possibility of them getting back?
Amongst all this mess, Alabama is a small town in Southern America, comprising of the most genuine people and love filled hearts. Parents, in-laws, friends and dogs as well wait for the return of that one person and that changes everything.

It's a beautiful one. Must watch. Only I've reversed the roles. In this Reese Witherspoon returns from New York to ask for a divorce from her husband who gives her a hard time for it.
