QH RRROCKED on Monday.👏
It was not just KSG. Everyone did wonderfully well. I was sooo happy at the end of the episode.
Whoever wrote the episode did a very good job.
Asad and Zoya have always made super- sense to me, what totally got me jumping up in glee was the EXTRAs! What a fine performance!
Each of those characters seemed to scream a story to me- that whole bunch of villagers was very carefully conceived, brilliantly cast, flawlessly presented and phenomenally acted.
Let me explain.
1.Dilavar Maamu- he had screen space of hardly 2-3 minutes, yet his attitude and dialogues- made me shudder when I got where he is coming from.😲
2.The Sarpanch (Zoya's Mr. Punch): Unrelenting, Orthodox, Proud, Foolish- Wah! Wah!🐷 Oink! Oink!
3.The Hijra guy: The very idea of him in this tadka was fantastic.
4.The rapist groom: Standing defiantly over Zoya's grave- he represents the evil that goes unpunished.😔
5. Scar-face: The man has a story behind that scar and I don't even want to think about it, seeing the cold blooded, calculated, manipulative murderer he is.
And all the other thugs were in sync too. No one looked out of place.
Rashid's house: The mother- son interaction was really helpful in knowing what makes Rashid a spineless man. Obviously, he is being blackmailed.
Humeira- made me proud- she will not bind Ayan in to a love-less relationship. She loves him enough to let him go.
The only two things that stood out in an otherwise perfect episode was (err..I mean the QH bit and BTW, every other PH has to be wary about being clubbed with 4 Lions from now on, because comparison is inevitable and the rest fall woefully short. It is evident in the direction. Kritika and Gurmeet acted better with the QH team- I think the writer and director makes all the difference. And Prashant- *head desk* what an uninspiring villain!- poorly conceived.)
1. Humeira's sliced wrist: If she wants to end her life😭 to make a point to her Ammi and Abbu, it is totally fine with me- I expected a pool of blood there, otherwise she should not have fainted.😉
2 How did Yash and Aarti land up there? I bet there is a perfect explanation of how they saw Asad running from the highway in to the jungle and deciphered Zoya must be in trouble.🤓 I guess that will be mentioned today.
KSG: Sigh...there are no words for the man. Super se upar!
Apart from KSG's portrayal of Asad, two things really stood out for me.
1. Scar face😡- everything about the guy screamed out- the actor, the look, the actions, the suspense (Asad and Zoya's reactions as the bullet came out- especially that of Asad)- very well written and executed.😎
2. As Asad goes rummaging through the ground – the rays of sun filtering through the foliage... BEAUTIFUL SHOT! I have seen this shot in many movies, first time on television- and the DOP did full justice to it.😊
4 Lions: I do not swear by the 'Customer is king' adage- but I felt like a king yesterday!
THANK YOU!🤗
