He came back.

I just want to talk about this one scene.

He came back.

The maturity behind the scene, the implications behind it. Gul Khan you have impressed me.

The episode in itself has left mixed feelings in me. I loved it at the same it felt a bit off as well. The episode was to highlight the horror that surrounds us.

People do walk away and turn a blind eye to these things just like Asad almost did today. Here Asad' s character is so well drawn out. A hero need not be a mahan who instantly battles the bad guys to save to damsel in distress. There was contemplation, there was realisation, there was regret. To see these emotions filter across KSG' s face. Take a bow KSG. Take a bow.

This isn't a love story - the message is clear. It's more than that. People might think he doesn't love her and that he needed to know of her intentions to save her. But that's not the point. That's not the big picture. The point is, he came back. Would he have done so if it was not Zoya but some other girl? Puts a damper on the typical God complex hero. The fact that he returned proves that he feels something for Zoya.

Is it love? It doesn't seem like it, does it?

Not yet at least.

The great thing about the scene is that it has me thinking. As a story teller Gul has made her mark.

Now coming to the bits that left me a little uncomfortable.

Was it necessary to show Zoya buried alive, Humera' s suicide attempt and not mention the bride who wanted to burn herself all in such a short span?

The morbidity of it all was a bit of a put off.

So yes a bit of a blow hot blow cold episode for me. But the important thing is it has me feeling something. That's always important.

- RC

PS- I really hope the editing team will do a better job now since the mahasangam is over. It was positively horrible today.

The last few episodes were a mixed bag... positives as well as negatives. The last episode highlights the ills of society that are prevalent today in our everyday lives.

People do walk away and turn a blind eye to these things just like Asad almost did today. Here Asad' s character is so well drawn out. A hero need not be a 'He - Man' who without batting an eyelid battles the bad guys to save to the damsel in distress. There was contemplation, there was realisation, there was remorse. To see these emotions filter across KSG' s face was breathtaking.

This isn't a love story - the message is clear. It's more than that. People might think he doesn't love her and that he needed to know of her intentions to save her. But that's not the point. That's not the big picture. Is it love? It doesn't seem like it, does it? Not till he says her still body does he show any such emotion!

Nice post..I just mentioned in another thread about how brilliant KSG was today..he stole the show in the last scene..i loved that look on his face when he realised the reason behind Zoya's runaway act..am pretty sure he subconsciously knew it all along that Zoya had a valid reason..he was just annoyed that she landed them all in a soup..i loved that scene when he kept looking back..btw, am certain he would have attempted to save her even if he was kept in the dark about her intentions..
P.S..This show has a really good ensemble cast..KSG is always spot on..Surbi has improved to a great extent and the actors who play Rashid and Razia are brilliant

Right I forgot to add.

I cannot wait to see SJ' s acting tomorrow. Zoya' s fear, her heartbreak. I have full faith that SJ is going to do a fantastic job of it!

I loved today's episode. Asad and Zoya were perfect. At first I was angry that Asad didn't try to save Zoya, and just left her. But then when you came back, I started bawling.

I thought I had reached a point where I didn't have to talk to myself in my posts but I'm totally cool with that. Purani aadat hai. :P

I have a question how did Yash and Aarti randomly come to save Zoya while they were doing something else?
