Hi guys!
Sorry for giving my observations for yesterday's episode this late...
Yesterday was a big WOW episode. It had every element of a good Bollywood movie: there was the damsel in distress,the forced wedding scenario, the timely entry of our hero, the dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge routine, the well orchestrated but filmy dishum dishum...the pain, the hurt and the guilt. The love struck or rather guilt struck looks of asad ...it was total paisa wasool woh bhi tadka mar ke. I am Loving It!
Here are my observations of yesterdays episode:
1 Loved Asad's Entry...felt like saying Phata poster and nikla hero! His opening Dialogue Qubool nahi hain. Followed by his speech about why the marriage is invalid...i must say i agree with Jas's view that his reason did astonish me too...Saying that "nikah aurat aur mard ke beech hota hai" (hope 4 lions is not trying to offend any minority group with different sexual preference with that dialogue š) "Par yaha koi mard nahi hai. Mard woh hota hai jo aurat ki izat karta hai aur uski ifazat karta hai" i loved his sentiment and his thought (especially in the light of whats happening in our country) This gives us a glimpse into his character. Though i do feel that he was being slightly hypocrite here as i dont think he respected zoya's POV's or her parents or her for that matter. And not to forget he basically put zoya in danger when he refused to trust her judgement and he almost failed to protect her. As it is he arrived only at the nick of the time... Anyway but as we say dair aye par daroost aye... I loved how he stood and told those goons that he is involved as he is here...and he wont leave without Zoya... i applaud his persistence and determination. This happens in our country all the time...When crimes happen in broad daylight in public places..people just stand there and watch..and no one wants to help the victim or pitch in coz they dont want to get involved.
But like Asad said it quite clearly "main yaha hoon iska matalab mera is sab se talukat hai." š
2 When Zoya sees Asad for the first time we see relief and gratitude flicker on her face. Asad might have seemed like an gaurdian angel to her at the time. when asad looks at her we see him giving her a subtle look of reassurance almost as if he wants to say...dont worry iam getting you out of here
3)The fight sequence was beautiful...Though i did hear some members grumbling over the editing bloopers...but hey this is 4 lions just deal with it and enjoy the show. when i posted my observation day before yesterday i remember cribbing about Asads calm expression when he interrupted the wedding and saw zoya's condition..and one of the member i dont remember who...said that asad is a very rational and controlled personality and he doesnt react impulsively or rashly when he is pissed...he is the sort who would keep his cool even when he is in temper...he would first rationally asses the situation...his first priority would be to walk in and take zoya away from the danger zone to safety ...then come right back to clobber everyone who tried to hurt her. I must say that the member was bang on in his/her assessment of Asad's reaction...coz thats exactly what happened. Asad is not someone who would walk away from a fight especially when he knows he was right.
4) I loved how when Asad was carrying Zoya home he kept a concerned watch on her...He handled her like a princess...
The scene where he laid her on the bed and rearranged her clothes and covered her with the blanket...his guilt , his pain on seeing her pain, his remorse all the emotions flood and flickered on his face.
[RED]THIS IS WHERE I EAT CROW FOR SAYING THAT ASAD DIDNT SHOW ANY EXPRESSIONS OR FEELINGS ON SEEING ZOYA'S CONDITION IN PREVIOUS EPISODE[/RED]
KSG did a beautiful job of portraying pain, remorse , guilt, affection...yes affection...coz he couldnt resist holding her hands,patting her head. Now the driving force behind the affection could be remorse + attraction. Asad cant resist a beautiful damsel in distress...Plus i think he is a bit shaken up by seeing zoya in helpless condition...being used to her i- dont- need- anyone- and- i- can- take- care- of- myself attitude. An attitude that was born out of having lost her parents at a very young age and not to mention newyork lifestyle. It must have surprised Asad that her helplessness bothered him so much...and yes it bothered him very much..clearly portrayed by the pain in his eyes. At that moment he might be thinking that he'd rather have her kicking ass with bunch of gundas rather than lying like sleeping beauty.
5) Another golden moment in the episode when zoya in her delirium called him by his name. He was very much thunder struck by that.The significance of that moment was not lost on him or anyone of us. That zoya in her deepest pain and subconsciousness calls out to him and reach out to him. In her heart he was never the formal mr Khan but only Asad. One could see some of his defenses crumbling as he goes down on his knees holding her hand ...
At that moment he resembled a knight bowing down in reverence and dignity in front of a lady (any one who has seen da vinci code or read about knights in shining armour would know what iam talking about)
At that moment she was no longer the batamish ladki...she turned into a lady in front of his eyes. I hope that he would keep that attitude towards her in upcoming episodes too or atleast try to...coz we know zoya..you how hard she makes it for him to hold his sanity.. The guilt is definately gonna push him to make peace with her and knowing zoya she might not forgive him that easily...cant blame her coz she almost got married to that jerk because of asad's arrogance.
Hmmm the episode gets 5 stars from me āļø

ok thats all...i know my view was exceptionally long today...but then the episode deserved it.
oh another thing... that song that they played in the episode..Tu jahan main wahan...in my opinion that song was not the sign of his love but rather an pledge or an oath on his part to never again fail in protecting zoya. I believe he is subconsciously pledging his protection to her..exactly like a knight would do in olden times..
i think in the upcoming episode...we might see Asad getting super protective about zoya...and zoya is sure going to rebel on his interference..as it is in the pre cap we see her rejecting his help...We viewers are in for a treat..i hope
