I completely understand that everyone has the right to make their own choice. I grew up with 3 older brothers like Asad. Lol. I had an arranged marriage and it was my brother who chose my husband but my parents and brothers made sure that the final decision was mine and that I was happy. Islam gives girls the right to choose their life partners. Who are mere mortals to force a girl when God has himself given this right to women. I hope I made sense.

I don't think Zoya was wrong to have backed out of the wedding in the last moment. It is a lot better than getting married, regretting the decision and then wanting to back out of the marriage. In one way, I do feel it was unfortunate for Akram... maybe if he comes to know from Zoya that she ran away because she herself is confused about a lot of things like her past, etc and her running away had nothing to do with Akram, maybe he might feel better. But then again, when I remember the way Akram's friends/ relatives were about to go to the extent of getting Zoya forcefully married to Akram against her wishes, I don't feel much sympathy for Akram.

running away from her marraige is the only sensible thing that zoya has done so far.marraige is a lifetime commitment and iam glad she takes at least that very seriously.as far as asad is concerned, why should he keep his opinions to himself?its his house and zoya is his guest.zoya herself has interfered in every personal matter of his,so why should he keep quiet?it seems as if zoya can dish it out but cant handle it when the tables are turned.
