Now, with the storyline I would want to see a positive change in the handling of dowry and insulting of a dusky complexion woman. This is the 21st century and not the 17th after all. A girl child is an asset and a blessing and not a liability or a mere responsibility. They have to improve on that.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but I wouldn't call this an unbiased opinion, especially when you are commenting on Surbhi's appearance. I actually think she's doing a fantastic job fitting into the role of the character. If you find her annoying, then it's just the character of Zoya you don't like, because Zoya is a childish, innocent character who adds light to the otherwise serious show. The show, although will soon get there, isn't much about romance right now. There's no love story, yet. As the characters develop more, the show will most definitely get there, but you can't expect characters to fall in love right away and their love stories to take over the whole show when there's other issues at hand right now.
