I have realised why i am having a tough time accepting Zoya, its not the character but the actress portraying her. The character is well written and is an opposite to Asad's but the actress does not know how to act or shall I say she is over acting. The whole cast is perfect except the main female lead...she just doesnt fit the bill..she is not doing justice to the character...I know I am gong to get a lot of backlash for this post...but its my opinion...whenever she comes on TV i Either hit mute or take a snack break...!!

Yeah, I think she could do a better job. She doesn't come across as an NRI raised in New York. For one, her accent and pronounciation give her away. She tends to be hyper in scenes.

But we should give her time. Hopefully she will blossom.

I agree! We should give time to let her settle wit her character! There are times, when at times it is a bit tough to get into the skin of the character! Everybody isn't born with the talent of getting into the skin within the first shot! Definitely the casting people may have seen potential and roped her in. Let's wait and watch!

As for her accent being a give away, it is true. A bit of rolling of her Rs will do good for Zoya's personality to be described in every scene.

And her signature line "Allah Miyah! What's wrong with you/these people/him/her/all of them?" is one I find kinda weird! 😆

Maybe I'll get used to it! 😛
