just finished watching the epi.. Thank God there wasnt any OTT urdu.. Allah ki raza (Allah's wish), rawaangi (departure, leaving) are quite commonly used words by urdu speakers..

but why each n everyone is addressing oneself as HUM, and not as Main.. kinda annoying.. 😵

I always search google for some urdu words when ever I hear them in bollywood songs, just to know the meaning... I would love to learn some here! I understand hindi easily..but urdu..thoda mushkil hai😆

Btw anyone can tell me wat tehzeeb means.. there was a dailogue from yesterday right?

the meaning of tehzeeb.. ...hmm...

meaning rehn sahen ke tareeqe...

..morals,respect, culture etc...

don't know the exact translation myself...basically she is asking him if no one learned him any manners.

To be honest i found a bit odd, how they used this word in one sentence,

it was something like...''Tumhe gaari chalaande ki tehzeeb nahi hai''.

I never heard it in that context, it doesn't sound correct, what do you guys think?

And

Zoya's dialogue very few people use it, she said ;

''Tumhe baad karne ki tehzeeb nahi hai ...''

usually normal people say something like' '''tumhe baat karne ki tameez nahi hai...''

Its like the CVs are trying to put the urdu words in a sentence so that it doesn't sound like hindi.

anyone know the exact translation of it?????

really???are you sure??

guess your right,

God i really have to get use to the urdu in the serial...to me every words sounds very different

what a bad teacher am i, i can't even get the dialogue right😳

Actually if you understand Hindi...I mean Bollywood Hind...you're more than half way there...😆

Urdu...just has a lot more Persian & Arabic influence to it.

But to answer your question in the simplest terms.

Tehzeeb=Culture (whether religious, mannerisms, or just way of life in general)
