Ishaan and Preet was the lifeline of the Hooda house, they kept the family intact and grounded. Preet's entire universe revolved around Ishaan, their daughter Kavya, and the Hoodas'. The one thing that kept him sane was, knowing that she would always be there for him no matter what came their way. Her dependence on him scared him. He constantly worried about her well-being. Nothing else seemed to matter more than the smile on her face, and the happiness of their family. What Preet didn't know was that, the man she took to be her husband wasn't really the person he said he was. Did this stop Ishaan/Rizwaan from committing completely to this rather strange yet beautiful relationship? No.
In an era where people refuse to make compromises let alone sacrifices in the name of love, Rizwaan and Preet are two individuals who selflessly devoted themselves to each other. , Torn between the loyalty towards his country, and the love he has for Preet, Rizwaan was in constant dilemma because he knew that he couldn't betray either. He knew he wouldn't be able to live with knowing the fact that he couldn't give a 100% to his mission, but he also knew that it would definitely kill him if he lost Preet, that survival would be impossible.
They seem like the ideal happily married couple whom everybody adored, and were thought to be deeply in love. But in reality, it was more profound than that. They meant the world to each other. Regardless of the unspoken I Love You's', the love and the care they had for each other was clearly perceptible. What kept their relationship intact was trust. He was her confidante, the one person she could trust without any hesitation. She was his lifeline. The sole reason he felt human most of the time. She knew it was love, he refused to reciprocate. He believed it to be much more than that, his sole reason of existence. Though deeply connected, they seem unaware of how dependent they are on each other. Knowing that the marriage was a mere compromise forces Rizwaan to push Preet away, he tries his best to distance himself from her, yet he fails. She confronts him, demanding to know where she stands, what place she holds in his life.
She always seemed to stand in between him and whatever misery that came his way, not only was she his weakness, but his pillar of strength as well. Nothing scared him more than losing her, not even a bullet to the chest.
