Iqbal Khan and Mona Singh starrer Pyar Ko Ho Jaane Do' on Sony Entertainment Television is soon heading for a major twist in its storyline. The announcement was made in presence of producer, Ekta Kapoor and the lead actors, in Mumbai. Looking visibly slim and stunning, Ekta spilled the beans regarding the upcoming track.
The story which revolves around the married couple, Ishan' and Preet Hooda', played by Iqbal and Mona respectively, will be transformed from a simple family drama to captivating suspense thriller. Charming, dashing businessman Ishan' will be revealed as Rizwan', a spy for one of India's neighboring countries
Talking on the occasion, TV czarina, Ekta Kapoor commented, "I am working with Iqbal after a long time but he is the perfect choice to play Ishan' and Rizwan'. Mona is a dear friend and no actress can portray different layers of their characters like her." She said that though we celebrate Eid and Diwali together, in case of sensitive matters of marriage or other such issues we hold ourselves back which needs to be changed.
Mona Singh, who was last seen as a host of a talent reality show, is back with Balaji's latest offering. When questioned about the long hiatus, the actress replied, "For me as an actress the journey should be fulfilling and challenging. This show gave me the perfect opportunity to return to fiction" Further commenting on the show, she added, "There are some tender issues in our society which need to be tackled delicately and this show simply does that."
Iqbal Khan agreed that it is high time for Television shows to grow out of saas-bahu' drama. He confessed that as the male lead, there is rarely anything substantial in such soaps. Hence, to get a chance to play diverse characters like Ishan' and Rizwan' was a truly a great opportunity for him.
Both, Iqbal and Mona are thrilled to be a part of Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do' which showcases a different subject with a new perspective. Like the makers of the show, the lead pair too firmly believe in the title, Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do' - let love happen no matter what religion or cast you belong to.
