I have a crazy idea... What if he had plastic surgery... What if he is not related to them, but because of a guilty conscious joined the family... It would link perfectly with your terrorist idea.

Ishaan is not a part of Hooda family. Becoz of him real Ishaan & his parents died, also Preet's relatives.
Then out of guilt Ishaan married to Preet and come to Hooda family...becoz of some misunderstanding, Hooda family thought him to be real Ishaan and then Ishaan too joined the family keeping quite.😛

I agree with you on the gang part like I feel he isn't ishaan rather a guy who is pretending to b ishaan and also he is maybe part of a gang or was part of the gang

About that lady she didn't look like his love interest at first but its confusing now

here is my take after seeing today's episode..

first of all, pakistan should not be a part of this secret in any way since it was their forefathers who migrated... just like mine did from india to pakistan.. his did from pakistan to india, so if they make the countries a big deal, i will be very upset...

you have a point about her sangeet or whatever that function was supposed to be of... it had something to do with/is linked with ishaan/his parents/his family... if his parents died with preet's family (assuming four years ago) then he is probably looking into it and this mystery girl is with him as an undercover agent turned friend (someone he confides into).

Or perhaps he is an undercover agent and during his wedding, a heist went down killing the families and now he is looking behind it.

The reason the couple don't share a relationship is because he wants to get to the bottom of this first and preet has ptsd... so they decided it is easier just to be friends... now how they have a daughter is the question...
