I don't know how many of you have watched every single episodes of PKDH, not once but atleast 5 times. Well I did. After the death of Pakhuri and particularly after the revelation of the truth that ayesha is not Pankhuri I had actually quit the forum. Today I'm compelled to make a post as it has become unbearable. For me Avantika has always been a lead character. If you remember the very first scene where she made her entry in PKDH, in the first episode itself you get a feeling She was an woman of substance, one with loads of pain buried under those beautiful eyes and tons of determination to touch the sky. Yes she got the name from her father, but that was it, the rest was her achievements.
The begining
Avantika was dead aginst the Gupta family only because she felt they cheated her son and forcefully fixed his engagement with Pankhuri. More than her Adi himself was to be blamed, because he himself was not sure if he liked Pankhuri. Her anger was justified there, as indeed Govardhan cheated Adi to the tilak ceremony. She never wanted her son to be close with the Guptas any more. She always hated Pankhuri more for her family than for herself. But she never plotted aginst her, she never wanted to herm her. The only time she wanted to hurt her when she asked her to write the names of the invitees on the cards of Adi and Latika's marriage. When she came to know about Adi and Pankhri's marriage, again she felt the Guptas has cheated her son, but the moment Adi confessed he married Pankhuri on his own will, she came up with the idea of a 15 day separation, not to separate them, but actually to make them understand the differences between friendship and a husband-wife relationship. That was a master stroke. With out that only god knows when and how Adi would have realized his love for Pankhuri.
The acceptance
Once she whole haertedly accepted Pankhuri has her Daughterin law, she was her best pal. More of a daughter, than a DIL. They fought every thing together. Sometime even aginst the will of Adi and Harish. With the death of Pankhuri not only Adi, like the Gupta family, she also lost her daughter, her best pal.
Present Day
Today Mrs. Avantika Harish Kumar, the sheriff of Mumbai is none other than a ruthless butcher or may be an witch. She has become one of those over the top Moms for whom the only thing matteres is the happiness of herself even more than the happiness of her son. Behind the mask of Adi's happiness she actually wants herself to be happy. She can't tolerate the face of Ayesha as she is a look alike of Pankhuri. She is running away from reality. The conditions she has put to Ayesha is simply inhumanic.
The character of Avantika has taken a nose dip through out the course of the story. I used to admire her, but now the only polite word I can remeber is hatred. Like the story of PKDH itself, this has been the journey of Avantika from a woman of Substance to a ruthless witch.
