Yeah I noticed that too. I think for the sake of respect, Pankhudi is being the "ideal" wife who practices the ideals of a typical Indian wife. Even my Mum calls my Dad tum haha. I hope we get to see Adi being all cute and saying "you don't have to call me aap, you make me sound like a budda!"😆

Your mom can't be that old!!! When i got married the running joke was that my husband should address me by AAP 🤣 ... I am almost a year older than my husband & academically he is one year behind me... Maybe I should've called him AAP to make him sound Budda- er than me 😉

Awww you are so sweet Supriya... your husband will be a very lucky person...
My mom doesn't address my dad by AAP even though my dad is a decade older than her...maybe that's why it sounds odd to me... I do use AAP for my in laws and office people... hmmm

I know a couple who calls each other TU (or tui in Bengali)... they DO sound odd to me...then I also know a couple who says AAP respectfully but they are always high on marijuana (hashish/ganja)... so I guess they come in all shapes & sizes...

So what's your plan? are you going to call your hubby AAP or Tu?
I've also seen a lot of people use THIRD person (neither AAP nor TU/TuM)... Like..." Oh Ji did you hear me?" or "Hey Bichcu's dad... is he not ready yet?" (Bichcu being the son).. you have to be real crafty to carry on with a conversation in 3rd person all the time...a lot of mental work...
