I have seen dat in films oly.. 😆 In India mainly "aap" or 'tu"...

Hey...wat Avanthu calls Harish???

i have seen the 3rd person conversation in real life especially if they are newly wed. like my Mami would say - Your mama needs to eat now...or tell your mama to take tea.. Mama was standing right next to her!!!
Avantu says Tum

the same question haunts me. actually adi keeps saying v r equal
& u can eat before me or with me but not after me & definitely not my left-overs. Then
cant he just tell her to stop calling him 'aap' as it would irritate him. but i guess the cvs
r in this matter very sp channelwalas bcos wife can never call her husband 'tum' atleast
in most serials its like that.

wow so much discussion on that 3 letter word. AAP. haha

well my mother tongue is not hindi but my mum still uses "aap" and my dad says "tu" hahah i dont find it weird at all.

it's not like my mum respects my dad more than my dad respects my mum. it just comes naturally, and maybe mum's got used to it now.
I find it cute. LOL
i am the only odd one out here..ahwell it would be nice to see Pankhuri calling adi "tum" because i find "tu" weird.. it only sounds cute when adi says tu to pankhuri.

It depends person by person. Whatever each call the other should be acceptable to both.
Among my friends, we always used 'Tu' for close friends and 'Tum' for new friends.
Then, I made a new friend and we got very close. So, I quickly moved from 'tum to 'tu'. And all the time he used to say 'Aap' to me. Then, he once told me that in his family everyone says 'Aap'. Even his father said 'Aap' to kids. So, Tum or Tu felt very weird to him. Since then I also started saying 'Aap' to him because he liked it. In return I asked him to say 'Tum' to me as I felt that 'Aap' was weird. He accepted. We lated dated for more than 3 years and have been married since 5 years. Even now, he calls me Tum and I call him Aap. He rarely takes my name and calls me Biwi. I call him by his nickname which I gave him.
So, Aap is not old-fashioned. You should call the other person with whatever the other is comfortable with.

I am not too sure. But I suppose different regions have different styles. UP (or eastern UP) people use "Hum" and "Aap". Some other regions use "Mein" and "Tum". I think in Pankhuri's place, everyone uses "Aap". (Shivam also used to address Pankhuri in a similar way). In South of India words equivalent to "Aap" are mostly used. May be one's region's usage looks weird to other. I think both Adi and Pankhu are sticking to the words they are used to. Whatever way they address each other, it will not lessen the cuteness of their love.
