Love At First Sight
Aditya Pankhuri OS..!!
A girl walked in through the huge gates. She was nervous; it can be clearly seen as she held onto her folders tight across her chest. She walked quietly passing everyone slowly. It was her first day at college. Her family had just moved to Mumbai from Kullu and she was worried about the atmosphere in this new college.
She had heard a lot about new people getting bullied and picked on, and today she could be the victim. She tried her best to keep a smile on her face, and also acted strong in front of her family members but only she knew how scared she was in the inside.
She walked through the gates nervously and walked as fast as she could to get the Principal's office when she heard someone call out to her.
Voice: Oye you..!!
She stopped in her track. She didn't dare to turn around. She started to shiver and clutched onto her folders even tighter.
Voice: are you deaf? I'm talking to you, the girl dressed in the pick salwar suit.
She realised that the person was indeed referring to her as she wore a pink salwar suit. She slowly turned around to face that person.
Voice: oh so you are not deaf. Anyway come here.
She walked slowly towards the group of people who all had smirks on their faces.
Voice: Are you new here?
She nodded.
Voice: What's your name?
She said: Pankhuri.
Voice (confused): meaning?
Pankhuri (nervously): it's my name.
Voice: hmm it's unique so wanted to know the meaning, never mind.
Voice: Okay look, I am Raj, this Latika and this Bunny and his girlfriend Seema.
Pankhuri looked least interested. She wanted to leave the place immediately. She took a step back when Raj called out to her again.
Raj: hey wait. As you are new here, you have to follow some rules. Rule number 1 is that you have to kiss this guy.
Bunny: oye Shivam come here.
Pankhuri turned around shocked. She saw a guy dressed in a simple shirt and trousers walking up to them he seemed more decent and these hooligans.
Raj: okay you have to kiss him.
Shivam was gonna say something when Bunny shut him up.
Latika and Seema were laughing away, enjoying the scene.
Buuny: come on Pankhuri what are you waiting for, go ahead and kiss him.
Latika: come on Pankhuri, it's just a kiss.
Seema: just kiss him on the cheek.
Pankhuri and Shivam were nervous, this was the first time they were put in a situation like this, and neither of them knew what to do.
Raj: we don't have all day, until you don't no one will leave from here.
Bunny: ooh Pankhuri and today is your first day...
Pankhuri closed her eyes tight and walked towards Shivam. When someone pulled Shivam aside and said:
Voice: Hey guys, what's going on here?
Latika: Adi!!!
Pankhuri who's eyes were still closed kissed Adi on the cheek.
Aditya looked toward the person who just kissed him. He was totally mesmerised by the sight in front of him.
A tall girl, dressed simply who just looked like an angel. She had her eyes closed, and she just kissed him.
Latika could not take this and she pulled Pankhuri by the arm, making Pankhuri open her eyes by the sudden pull.
Latika (angry): what the hell Pankhuri!! Can't you see we told you to kiss Shivam not Aditya.
Pankhuri was shocked. She kissed an unknown person. She looked towards him and was lost in his eyes, they were heavenly. Aditya was also looking at Pankhuri, they were having an eye lock.
Raj saw this and smiled to himself. Suddenly a teacher's voice broke their eye lock.
Teacher: Students what is going on here?
Pankhuri just ran from there as fast as she could.

Later that night Aditya lay awake thinking about the girl who had kissed him, he touched his right cheek were her soft rose lips had touched him. He smiled to himself.
Pankhuri on the other hand was also awake, thinking about the incident which had occurred at college. She had kissed a guy, and to be honest she was lost in him there was something about him that attracted her to him.
He had the most amazing eyes, or was it his gorgeous smile. Be it whatever but this guy had truly had some effect on her. As she was the kind of girl who had never looked at a guy in that way, she was way too studious.
Aditya also felt differently, he had girls all around him but he never gave them a second glance. For example Latika, she has been after him for years but he only takes her as a friend. He knows that Latika has feeling for him but he told her straight that he does not feel anything for her. He only considers her as a friend. Nothing more, nothing less. But Pankhuri was different. She had this innocence written all over her face that attracted Aditya.

A Few Days Later at College:
After that first day, because of Aditya, the gang never troubled Pankhuri again. And Latika always tried to keep Aditya away from Pankhuri.
However much she tried, Aditya was always steal glances and look at Pankhuri, and he'll hide his face behind books and get lost in her, when she's at the library.
On the other hand Pankhuri will always avoid him, but when no one was watching her she would always look at Aditya and get lost in his eyes.

The hide and seek process carried on for a few months.

Raj: Adi can I ask you something?
Adi: of course, since when did you need to ask my permission..
Raj: you love her don't you?
Adi (shocked): huh, who no I don't, I don't love Pankhuri.
Raj: I didn't say Pankhuri
Aditya knew that he has been caught now, and that there was no way out. Raj and Adi have been best buddies since childhood; no one can understand him like Raj.
Adi (accepting defeat): yes I love her; it was love at first sight.
Raj (happy): so what you waiting for go and tell her.
Adi: I can't, what if she rejects..
Raj: but she could also accept..
Adi: have you seen the way she has been avoiding me? Ever since her first day at college after she kissed me, she's been ignoring me.
Raj: you will ever know, go ask her. How will you live like this, she may share the same feelings as you, but you know girls, they always want the guy to make the first move.
Adi: okay
Raj: great, its valentine's day tomorrow. No better day than tomorrow to express your love.
Adi (happily): yeah you're right, I'll propose to Pankhuri tomorrow.

Valentines Party at College:
Adi and the guys were dressed in suits looking hot. The girls dressed in short dresses, trying their level best to attract guys.
Latika did the same, she tried her level best to attract the attention of Aditya, but Adi didn't even spare a glance at her. His eyes were glued to the door.
A few moments later, Pankhuri walked in with her, dressed in a long white evening gown, looking like an angel descending from heaven. Aditya was once again lost in her, Raj had to neudge him to bring back.

Later on Latika asked Aditya for a dance, which he rejected saying that he didn't want to dance right now. She left broken hearted, all her hard work, spending hours at the parlour was going to waste.
A few minutes later, Adi got himself ready and walked towards Pankhuri, the spot light followed him. He stopped just in front of Pankhuri, she was shocked as they have come face to face ever since the first day at college.
The DJ changed the song to a soft romantic one. Everyone at the party was looking at Aditya and Pankhuri.
Aditya went down on one knee, and took a ring out his pocket. He looked up towards Pankhuri who was surprised.
Aditya: Pankhuri, I can understand what exactly is going on in your mind right now. You must be thinking why is this idiot on his knee as if he's gonna propose to you (he chuckled). Yes Pankhuri this is exactly what I want to do.
Pankhuri still surprised, she did not know how to react.
Aditya: Pankhuri ever since the day you kissed me at college, I cannot stop thinking about you, I imagine you everywhere. I never believed in love at first sight, I always used to think this only happened in books and films, but after seeing you I now understand that all those things said about love at first sight was indeed true.
Aditya: without you knowing or anyone else, I used to follow you around the college, I used to hide behind book shelves in the library when you used to look around for books. I used to hide my face behind books and sit in front of you pretending that I was reading.
Aditya: Pankhuri, I love you. I love you a lot.
Aditya: I know we have not talked at all, we hardly know each other. But what I do know is that you are the only girl with whom I went to spend the rest of my life with.
Aditya: Aisa nahi hai ki main tumhare bina jee nahi sakta, par aisa hai ki main tumhare bina jeena nahi chahta. (took this line from the show itself, not sure if I got it right).
Aditya: Will you give me the right, to see your beautiful face the last thing every night and the first thing every morning?
Aditya: Main tumse bohot pyaar karta hoon Pankhuri!! I promise that to keep you always happy, never ever let a single drop flow from your eyes.
Aditya: Pankhuri will you be my Valentine forever and always?
Pankhuri had tears following down her eyes, tears of happiness, a smile forming on her lips. She nodded. Aditya stood up and Pankhuri wrapped her arms around his neck and Aditya pulled her closer by placing his arms around her waist.
Everyone cheered and clapped in the background. Pankhuri got shy and hid herself in Aditya's chest again. And they both made their way out of the party room to the garden ear by the college.
Latika fumed in anger, but she knew she could not do anything. She has lost.

Aditya and Pankhuri sat on the bench holding hands. They had not spoken since they reached the garden.
Aditya: Pankhuri I just gave the longest proposal of my life and you still not have said anything to me (he pouted).
Pankhuri (smiled): Adi actually I did not want to say anything there, and now when I am here with you alone, I am speechless.
Pankhuri: you said everything to me, leaving me amazed, every girl dreams about someone proposing to her in the most unique way ever. And you have fulfilled my dreams.
Aditya smiled.
Pankhuri: the truth is that I also used to watch you from far, when you were with your friends, your football matches. (etc)
Aditya was stunned he had no clue at all. The girl of his life had always felt the same way for him as he felt for her.
Pankhuri: but I used to always step back, as I thought I was not worthy enough for you.
Aditya was just about to say something when Pankhuri nodded for a no. He stayed quiet.
Pankhuri: but that was my stupidity, I should not have ignored and avoided you like I had been doing for the past few months. Sorry. (she said politely).
Aditya: why you saying sorry, that was not what I wanted to hear.
Pankhuri was confused.
Aditya: no I mean I did not want to hear sorry, but those three words.
Pankhuri felt shy.
Aditya: please (he said with his broadest smile and stood up, she also stood up)
Pankhuri could not say no. She held his hand tighter and looked straight into his eyes.
Pankhuri: Aditya I love you too!!! It was love at first sight for me too. It was your eyes and smile that dragged kept dragging me to you. I felt a magnetic pull all the time.
Aditya smiled at her innocence, she was indeed a pure angel, so naive and innocent. They both had another eye lock.
Aditya moved closer to her looking into her eyes, he then looked down to her lips. Pankhuri understood what he wanted; she smiled at him and closed her eyes. He pulled her closer by placing his hand on her wait. Pankhuri place her had on his chest.
Aditya very gently gave Pankhuri a peck on her lips. She slowly opened her eyes and was once again lost in Aditya's eyes. They both smiled at each other and Pankhuri hands snaked up and hugged him tight once again. Aditya just wrapped his arms around her pulling her even close.
