STAR Plus parents talk about their responsible daughters

http://starplus.startv.in/news/4227/star-plus-parents-talk-about-their-responsible-daughters.aspx

The popular notion of a son being preferred over a daughter is put to rest by our STAR Plus parents who hold a different opinion. According to them, daughters definitely outshine sons and are equally contributing towards society and carry their family name forward. We spoke to a few of the STAR Plus parents and here's what they have to say about their daughters.

The Gupta family:

Diwakar and Ambika are proud of their daughter Pankhuri. They have never felt the need of a son as both Pankhuri and Neha have always been a pillar of strength for the family. According to them their daughters have always made them proud and there never has been a moment when they regretted not having a son in the family. Ambika says, "Right from taking care of household works to taking care of the family members, Pankhuri has always stood tall and has helped me, her father and Dadaji in all spheres of life."

The Singh family:

"Although Khushi is not our own daughter, she has never made us any differente. As a doting daughter she has carried on the family tradition quite well and has supported the family at times of crisis. Khushi always stands for what she believes in and will never let go of her values," says Garima.

The Maheshwari family:

"Akshara has been a great daughter and we love her for that. For her, the family is a priority and she can do anything to make them happy. Even after marriage we are proud that she continues to do the same and is a doting daughter-in-law too. Akshara is just another daughter of the Singhania family rather than a daughter-in-law," adds Rajshri.

The Kothari family:

"Maa and papa are no more but I am sure they must be happy to see Sandhya adjusting to her new life," says Ankur. Sandhya has managed to win the heart of the Rathis in no time and is playing her role quite well. "I really regret pushing her into this marriage but she has made me proud by adjusting to her new way of life," adds Ankur.

The Saxena family:

Although Pratigya hails from a small town but she has always stood for what is right without any fear. "She has always been a good daughter and has even sacrificed her own happiness for us. I have raised both, my daughters and son equally without any discrimination and feel proud of them," says Shyamji Saxena.
