I mean, the guy literally spent 3/4 of the first month or so of this show crying at her grave, and the only reason he fell for Piya was Metz Madame's face. If the OG is there, why would he need the carbon copy?

to me its the question of did Abhay ever actually got over metz? Cause from what i remember he only cared for piya because he sincerely believed metz to be dead. When he sees metz for the first time he is in shock and still a boy in love. Even when he is entering that palace he remembers times spent with metz. He got over her after she betrayed him and froze him. Untill then he still claimed “me tumhe kese maar sakta hu. I gave my life for u”. So if she is not evil he doesnt have any motivation to get over her and that for me translates to him picking metz. 😆

Abhiya were always destined with each other irrespective of maithili
