Why did Maithili wear gowns?

She was an 18th century princess right. So why the English gown attire? Hindu princesses would be dressed up something like this na:

Or if they wanted to go mythological dramatic then something like this:

Or Cambodia's national wedding attire...its very Hindu Indian:

Instead we got this Bhaadewala Costume Shop ka gown😆

The research team must’ve been fired 🤣🤣 her gown didn’t look elegant either, reminded me of a cheap Halloween costume 😆

Honestly speaking they just copied and did not think through and I guess the costume team was dumb.

I think I read somewhere or heard it was her most ambitious project yet Ekta/ her team did not think things through .

Even Abhay only had 2 or 3 custumes when he comes from one of richest families.

I didn't know one of the rich families ( tea estate owners) could not afford clothes for there only son🤪

I’d like to think he did but that famous jacket (which VD ended up keeping btw 🤣) covered the variety of shirts

Imagine the heights it would’ve reached with correcting small details like this....more immersion is always nice

Back then it didn't bother me, but now it looks like annual day Bhaadha costume 😆

Research team were only concerned with copying TVD but Katherine's gowns were much more elegant ❤️ And made sense since TVD was 19th century Virginia, not Dehradun India 😆

They were blatantly lifting from TVD na.

Ekta was only concerned making the most popular vampire TV show, which she succeeded in. And the demographic was teens primarily, humara dhyan kahan jaata tha...sirf Abhay ko dekhte they 🤣

And regarding the costumes, I doubt they had the same budget as a Star Plus or Colors show. Star ONE had limited reach na. Most of the clothes worn by others also were from those Bangkok imported clothes shop in Lokhandwala. I had found all of their dresses and tops there 😆 And other parts like Piya's skirts were from another store in Lokhandwala. Now either they shopped there or got it from another similar store 😆

Copy paste nothing else.

But I did like Maithli in that red gown. I still like that dressing 😆
