Chapter 7

Piya leaves for her duty , but Siddharth's thinking still going on . Actually he is so much surprised that he still can not believe what Piya told him right now is really true or not . How can this happen ? Is it something that is called miracle ? Yes , it must be a miracle , otherwise how can Piya see him calm & quiet ? From 3 years , Siddharth knows very well that from long 3 years Abhay is admitted in that mental ward . In these 3 years he never behaved calm & quiet . Day by day his condition got worse . So many doctors tried to treat him , so many types of medicines , but no result .His shoutings , his screaming habbit just got increased with each passing day . Nowadays he became quiet violent too ! Even nowadays doctors are also scared of him . Only doctor Patel still did not give up . But often he also fails to handle him . Siddharth heaves a deep sigh . Most probably the past days are coming in his mind . 3 years , 3 years before Abhay last time called him Bro . Now he can not recognise Siddharth too ! Siddharth remembers the past Abhay , young handsome , smart ! The Chief Surgeon of this ASHA hospital ! ASHA was his dream ! ASHA was his life ! & now ? He himself admitted in the Mental Ward of this ASHA ! An accident , just an accident changed his life so much ! A drop of tear rolls down by his cheek . Siddharth was lost deep in thoughts , suddenly someone knocks the door which brings him back to reality . A nurse came to sign some papers . Siddharth signs them & thinks to visit Abhay once . Siddharth checks all the files on his table again , finishes all the pending works & leaves for Abhay's cabin .

Piya was in her duty , but still she is thinking about her night shift experience . Whom she saw at night who was he ? His deep blue eyes , his sharp arrogant nose ...everything was so much different from others ! Piya can feel he was not just an ordinary patient . & the way Siddharth reacted when he got to know that Piya met him , that was so strange ! He wanted to know every detail of that meeting ! As if without his permission no one can meet him ! & by chance if anyone met , he has to know all the details to decide it was permissible or not . What did she do ? She was getting bored in sleepy ward so thought to check the whole hospital & she did not do anything wrong . She just helped a patient ! How it can be wrong ? And...it was so surprising that the door was locked from outside ! A patient inside needed help & they kept the door locked ! How inhuman , how cruel ! Piya is damn sure it must be that Siddharth's instruction . Misha is right , He is a Khadhos ! No , not only Khadhos , he is heartless too ! Piya shakes his head , why is she thinking about all these so much ! Piya tries to concentrate on her work .

Siddharth was just outside of Abhay's cabin . He can see his younger brother murmering something continuously , Siddharth's eyes get filled with tears again . He wipes off the tears before anyone could notice & enters his cabin . He tries to speak to him " Hello little bro ! How are you feeling today ?"
Siddharth indeed did not expect any answer , but when he found that his brother did not even look upto him , he felt really sad . But nowadays he became habituated of it . Perhaps it was his medicine time , Dr. Patel came with a peel & a glass . & as all knows Abhay refused to take the medicine . He starts to his head strongly in form of No . When he was insisted , he just took the glass & threw it away ! The glass broke with a cracking sound . Now Abhay picks up the medicine tray & throws that away too ! The bottles got broken & all the pill's foils got scattered . Siddharth can see an anger is forming in his eyes , his violence was increasing . Siddharth sighs . Piya claimed that she saw this person normal ! Suddenly an idea strikes him . He comes out & grabs one wardboy ," Call Dr. Piya Dobriyal . Right now . Tell her I am calling her here ! Go fast!" Siddharth got too much excited ! What Piya told if it was true then...

Piya was working silently , suddenly a wardboy came & informed her that Dr. Siddharth is calling her . Again ? Now what happened ? Piya really got hell irritated ! God knows what does he want now . She was going to Siddharth's cabin while the wardboy informs her that Siddharth is calling her at 2nd floor . 2nd floor ??? What happened there ? Piya feels surprised , but does not give any such expression . When she reaches 2nd floor she finds that Siddharth is checking the lift & staircase again and again very impatiently . As if...as if he is waiting for someone very eagerly . "Is he waiting for me ?" Piya wonders .As soon as She came in Siddharth's eye sight , Siddharth just came rushing to her . Piya can read the exciting , the impatient expressions written on his face clearly . What may happened ? Piya thinks . Siddharth says with great excitement " Thank God ! Thank God you came ! I really need you now . Come fast " & he starts to walk towards Abhay's cabin . Piya got surprised because of his sudden excitement , she asks while following him " What happened Sir ?"
Siddharth answers excitedly " actually Abhay..." & sudden stops . Piya was surprised to hear this name again . What help Siddharth needs from her regarding Abhay ??? But before she could ask anything more she finds herself in the same cabin she visited during her night shift . She was really surprised . Just a little before Siddharth scholded her so much for coming here & now he himself brought her here ?? Piya turns to Siddharth surprisingly . Siddharth says in low tone " Stop him !" Piya turns to the patient . Today in daylight his every feature is enchanting her more . His deep blue eyes stating a silent pain hidden in his heart , his angelic face again rising her curiosity . But now ...now she can spot the anger , the violence in his every expression , in his every move she can find an immense hatred ...but towards whom ? Himself ? Or the World ? He is breaking all the things , shouting so ruthlessly ! Dr. Patel even not trying to protest him , he is so much scared of him , standing at one corner . Yes , he is needed to stop now . But from where Siddharth got this idea that Piya can stop him ? Oh ! May be because of her experience ! Piya makes a try by saying a sweet good morning , but Abhay did not even look back to her . He picked up another thing & was to throw it then suddenly Piya makes an adventurous move , she just holds his hand wishing to stop him . Abhay looks back angrily , but as soon as he got the glimpse of her face everything just changed in seconds ! The anger , the hatred , the violence disappeared in just a moment . Piya takes the thing from his hand & gently keeps it on the table . Then she takes the pill from Dr. Patel's hand & holds it in front of Abhay . To everyone's utter surprise Abhay doesn't protest , takes the pill silently while giving a smiling look to Piya . Piya also returns the smile to him and moves to leave . Suddenly his expressions changed again . A painful , sad expression replaces his smile . Abhay holds Piya's 1hand and nods his head such a way as if he is pleading to her not to leave ! Piya looks up to Siddharth confusingly , Siddharth was still in shock because of what he saw just now . He just says her to stay here until he sleeps & leaves .

Its lunch time in hospital . Piya seating in front of her plate , but instead of eating she is thinking...its really so strange ! Today again ! Today again the same thing is repeated . He was so violent , so angry , but again in front of Piya he calmed down ! How ? Piya did not do anything extra ordinary . Then ? How she could stop him ? Or may be the question is why ? Why did he stop seeing Piya ? What did he find in her ? Piya was remembering the last moments , he was too relactant to let her go ! As if...her chain of thoughts broke by cell phone's ringing tone . Piya picks up . Its Kabir .
Kabir : "Hey my Princess ! I just hope you did not forget me ?"
Piya : " surely not Kabir . How can I forget you ?"
"Oh really ? Then why don't you call me ? Everytime I have to call you ?" Kabir says in fake anger .
Piya giggles " OMG ! Are you angry ? Actually you know I keep waiting for your call " she says in playful tone .
Kabir laughs "Ok ! Now tell me how are you ? And how many surgeries you handled ?"
"Oh ho Kabir ! I told you na I am only an intern now ? Just learning the works . One day will surely do that !" her voice sounds dreamy .
"Ya , ofcourse you will my princess ! Now tell me hows u ? & did anything unusual happened ? I mean meeting to new people or did people say something to you ?"
"Huh ?? I didn't get it Kabir . What are you meaning by meeting someone or hearing to someone ?" Piya is puzzled .
Kabir remains silent for sometime . He himself does not know what he is meaning . He was asking those just because Madhu aunty requested him to ask her those questions . But it seems like Piya too could not make out them . Kabir thought to change the topic , but before he could , Piya says in hurry " hey lunchtime is going to be over soon & I still didn't finish my plate ! Will talk to you later ." & cuts the call . After cutting the call Piya starts to have her lunch rapidly , but Kabir's questions were coming in her mind again and again . What was he trying to ask ? Oh god ! So many mysteries are roaming around her . Which one to solve first ? God ! In this way she will go mad one day . She shakes her head & concentrates on her lunch .

Night time in Raichand house .


Siddharth was thinking all that happened today seating on the arm chair . Piya was right . Abhay calmed down just in seconds after seeing her ! How ??? He started to think that Abhay has become totally unstable mentally . But he proved him wrong . If Piya succeded to leave her mark on him , that means his brain is still working now . May be not enough to recognise everyone , but its sure that he still remember the most beautiful , most delicate part of his life . Otherwise...
"Hey ! Where are you lost ?" T's voice brings him back to sense . Siddharth was too much excited because of what he witnessed today . He was just too much eager to share that with her . "You know T today I saw Abhay normal ! & thats only because of Piya !"
"What ? What are you saying ?" T's expressions are saying that she is quiet shocked as well as puzzled too ! Siddharth starts to explain what he got to know from Piya & what he himself witnessed today . After hearing all those , T remains silent for sometime , perhaps her thinking is going on . Then she speaks out " Nothing is there to get so much surprised . You know Sid when for the first time I saw her , a ray of hope lighted up in me . I started to wish secretly that May be Piya can bring a new hope to Abhay's life . May be Piya brings him back to normal life . & now I think I wasn't wrong at all ." she stops .
" Really T ? You are saying Piya is able to give him his life back ?" Siddharth's voice got choaked in emotion .
"Ya , perhaps its not impossible to bring him back to life now . But for that we have to make every move wisely ." T says .
"Yes , I know what I need to do at first !" Siddharth sounds much releived .

Next morning at Asha :

Oh God ! Today I again got late ! God rescue me from that Hitlar ! Piya comes running while thinking all those in her mind , to check the duty schedule . But to her utter surprise she could not find her name there . She checked the board again , but this time too fails to find her name . Shit ! That Hitlar perhaps too much angry on me ! She comes to Siddharth's cabin & knocks the door a bit frightendly . "Come in" , the voice came from inside . Piya enters in the cabin & before he start to to schold her , Piya starts her speech " I am very very very , I am extremely sorry sir ! But I didn't get late intensionally . Actually I got trapped in traffic jam & see Sir I am not late more than 5 mins , so please please sir don't punish me please !" she stops finally . Piya gets surprised to see Siddharth is not looking angry at all . Siddharth tells " I am not angry Dr. Piya . Actually your name was absent in the schedule chart because today you have duty in a different ward "
"Where ?" Piya asks curiously .
" In the mental ward !" Siddharth replies making Piya shocked , suprised and puzzled too !
