superb update loved it. So shaurya and Abhay are pretending to be related. So Abhay is Shaurya's lord. its very interesting. So Abhay came here for a reason? Abhay does not like to be told what to do or he gives orders and rules wow. i can't wait till abhiya meet. thanks for the pm.

~~Chapter 4~~

Note- guys There r NO supernaturals in this story😊 ITS A HUMAN LOVE STORY and M...

It was 3 O'clock in the afternoon and Pia was standing in front of Chinten's door, which was slightly ajar. She wondered who had left it open; had her mother come in the morning for some work or had the tenants arrived?

But the house was so quiet, that it was not possible that anyone was inside. She cautiously opened the door and looked inside. The living room was just the way they had left it yesterday. There was no additional item anywhere that would point to anyone having come over to stay. The door to the small bedroom, which was in the left corner of the living room, was closed, as was the kitchen door.

She stepped inside the house, placed her bag near the door and quickly started searching for her anklet on the floor and under the furniture. But the search was not fruitful. She decided to check in the small bedroom and kitchen before searching upstairs.

She walked towards the bedroom and had just raised her right hand to push open the door, when it opened with force by itself, and a boy stepped outside. Caught totally unawares, Pia froze in shock on the spot and?for a second or two?there was barely an inch between them?

She was looking upon a Handsome face that belonged to a stranger, and yet, was very familiar?.and those flashing Blue eyes that had troubled her thoughts more often that they should have in the past two months were now staring at her, equally shocked?

The boy she had seen outside the temple that night was now standing in Chinten, gazing at her in stunned disbelief?.he was simply looking at her with an extremely unfriendly expression.

"Who the hell are you" he asked sharply, "and what are you doing in our house?"

Shaken by the unforeseen meeting and the fury she had seen his eyes just moments ago, Pia struggled mentally to find the words?.and failed.

Mercifully, before Abhay could snap again, there was an intervention.

"Why are you frightening the poor girl, Abhay," a perplexed voice asked, and Abhay and Pia turned to see a middle aged man walk into the room from the kitchen.
"Ok then, Shaurya Baba...I'll ask nicely," he said mockingly, then turned to her again. "Would you like to share with me who you are and what exactly are you doing in our house," he asked with artificial politeness.

This time, even though she was still feeling befuddled, Pia somehow managed to stammer, "I?I'm Pia...I live in the house next door, in Prashant."

"And that apparently gives you the right to walk in here without permission," Abhay asked with raised eyebrows.

The man, who had come and stood next to Abhay, now smiled at Pia reassuringly. "Stop treating her like she is a thief, Abhay. Don't you remember the house-owner telling us today morning that he has a granddaughter called Pia?"

"My memory is perfectly fine, Baba," Abhay said irately, "I only wanted to know if the house-owners intend to continue treating this place as if it were not occupied.."

Feeling helpless, Pia turned to the sympathetic old man. "I didn't know you had arrived?..if I had I wouldn't have just walked in like that," she said pleadingly, now addressing her words only to Shaurya Singh. ""I?my friends and I were cleaning this house yesterday and I think I dropped my anklet somewhere. I only wanted to see if I have dropped it here. I'm really sorry?."

"You should be," Abhay said, forcing her to look at his unforgiving expression, "Now if finding your anklet is not a matter of life and death, I would appreciate it if you either forget about it, or look for it elsewhere and spare us."

And just to ensure that she had understood that the conversation had ended, he looked at the main door and then at Pia, who was starting to feel a little too close to tears now?

"Don't be so impolite, son" Shaurya Singh said mildly. And he smiled at Pia very kindly and said, "I'll keep an eye out for your anklet. If I see it anywhere here, I'll come over and give to you."

"Thank you," Pia said gratefully, and without looking at Abhay again, she turned to leave.

Just as she picked up her bag and stepped outside, Abhay spoke again. "Close the door on your way out. Our quota for unwanted visitors is over for today."

Pia slowly walked through the little connecting gate towards Prashant, feeling dazed and overwhelmed by all that had just happened. And she was feeling a little too emotional and fragile right now to face any questions.

She was still in the shock of seeing the boy?Abhay, she amended ?.again. She had never thought she would see him again...

Now Pia felt a strange sense of relief and peace filling her heart.

Abhay's shock and anger had nothing to do with the meeting that night, she concluded, he didn't even remember it; he had been furious only because he had found a stranger in his house. She should have checked with her mother before entering Chinten. Instead, she had simply assumed the tenants had not arrived and had walked into the house, which belonged to Shaurya Singh and Abhay now. It was all her fault...Abhay had every right to be angry and it was her duty to make amends. Pia resolved that she would apologise to him at first opportunity.

Pia rang the doorbell of her house and managed to smile convincingly at her mother when she opened the door. She had just stepped inside when her mother said happily, "We were waiting for you to come home. Raghav's friends have arrived?.they came just a few minutes after you left for college

To Pia's good fortune, her mother did not wait for her to respond and turned to go back to the kitchen, continuing to talk, and so she missed the tiny shadow that flitted across her daughter's face at her words.

"They are really nice and decent people. We couldn't have found better tenants than Shaurya Singhji and Abhay," her mother was saying cheerfully, adding tea powder and sugar to the water boiling on the gas. "They had breakfast here, but Shaurya Singhji insisted on having lunch in Chinten, even though we tried so hard to convince them to stay. So I took lunch to them. But we made them promise that they will have dinner here with all of us for today at least. Pia, give me those cups from that shelf, we can't serve them tea in our ordinary cups?"

Pia got up from her seat, reached to the shelf her mother was pointing to and cautiously took down two of the best and most expensive cups they had in the house. Her mother poured steaming tea into the cups, placed them onto a tray and held it out to Pia.

"Here, go and give this to them. I've made some onion pakodas. I'll come with you with a plate of those and I can introduce you to them."
