Chapter 2
Abhay: "Don't worry, I will take you home, and explain everything to your parents"
Piya: "No, no u dont have to come in, i mean just drop me home please"
Abahy: hey chillax i wont come in, come i'l drop u home.

outside piya's house
Piya: "Thanks"
Abhay: "I am sorry, because of me you stayed for hours" (mad at himself)
Piya: "It's ok, it's my fault too" ( she leaves)
(He looks at her as she walks, with love in his eyes, and she turns around before she goes home...she smiles! Then he drives happy).
(Piya opens her house door and enters. Her parents are sitting and were waiting for her, worried. Her dad gets up as he sees her.)
Mr. Dobriyal: "where were you? do you know what time it is?"
Piya: "I am sorry...it will never happen again"
Mrs. Dobriyal: (getting angry) "Where were you? we almost called the police!"
Piya: (calm) "I was at college"
Mr. Dobriyal: "college? at this time?"
Piya: "yes. I had to..mm...do a research for my class"
Mrs. Dobriyal: "Couldn't you call us and let us know?"
Piya: "The librarian didn't let me use her phone, and I didn't have money for the pay phones, I am so sorry"
Mr. Dobriyal: "since you never lied to us before, we belive you. But, do not repeat the same mistake again, you understand?"
Piya: "yes dad, I understand" ( she goes to her room and closes her eyes ashamed).
Piya: (to herself) "How could I lie to them? I will not let anything like this happen again even if I have to stay away from Abhay"

(The next day, Piya is walking to college with her books in her hand. Misha runs towards her, smiling.)
Misha: (as she gets close) "guess who asked me to the dance"
Piya: "who?" ( thinking it's Abhay)
Misha: "Jeh"
Piya: "Jeh, who'se Jeh?"
Misha: "Thats Jeh" (pointing to a guy standing with his friends)
Piya: "you like him?"
Misha: "yeah, I actually do"
Piya: "and Abhay?"
(Misha just shrugs he shoulders. The bell rings).
Misha: "Ok, I will talk to you later" ( walks to class)
(Misha stops half way and runs back to Piya)
Misha: "I forgot to ask, what about you?"
Piya: "what about me?"
Misha: "I mean, aren't you going to the dance?"
Piya: "No, I have a lot of homework, but you go, and have fun with Jeh"
Misha: (hugs Piya) "thanks, I love you" ( leaves to class)
Piya: "I love you too" (looks at Misha as she goes to class)

(Later, Piya is sitting in front of her window, in her room, with her homework. She looks outside sad and wonders. It's dark and the same hour as the dance).
(At the same time, it shows Misha and Jeh going to the dance.)
Jeh: "you look beatiful"
Misha: "thanks"
(They walk inside, holding hands. It shows Piya again in her room. Her parents come in her room).
Mr. Dobriyal: "Honey, we are going out, and won't be back early, just finish your homework and sleep. We will lock the door when we go"
Piya: "Ok, dad"
Mr. Dobriyal: (to Mrs. Dobriyal) "let's go"
Mrs. Dobriyal: "Wait outside, I will come in a minute"
(Mr. Dobriyal leaves the room and Mrs. Dobriyal looks at Piya).
Mrs. Dobriyal: "Who is the boy?"
Piya: "what?"
Mrs. Dobriyal: "sweety, you cannot lie to your mother. I know that you like a boy. I just want to let you know that there is nothing wrong with that. You are not a child anymore, and you have all the right to fall in love and be with the one you love" ( she kisses her forehead and leaves)
(Piya looks at her as she leaves, with happiness in her eyes. She turns around, looking down the window again. She closes her eyes, and remembers her bumping into Abhay and them talking to each other under the tree. She then imagines her in a beatiful dress, walking to the dance, with Abhay. She imagines her dancing with him and Misha with Jeh. And, when she opens her eyes, still in her room, she sees Abhay outside her house, smiling).
(She pulls her head confused, blinks her eyes surprised.)
Abhay: "Hi Piya"
(She looks down again)
Piya: "Abhay? what are you doing here?"
Abhay: "well, I was alone and I thought I should go and see my special friend, is that ok?"
Piya: "It's ok, but, shouldn't you be at the dance?"
Abhay: "I wanted to, but, the person I wanted to go with, didn't, so I didn't want to go without her"
Piya: "Don't you think it's late?"
Abhay: "So you want me to leave"
Piya: "No, it's not that..."
Abhay: "Ok, then I'll come up"
Piya: "No, I will come down, wait"
(she closes her window and jumps from happiness and goes down)
Abhay: "Hi" (as he sees her from close)
Piya: "Hi"
Abhay: " sorry again for yesterday, coz of me u were late."
piya: " its ok it was my fault too"
(They sit on a chair outside her house)
Abhay: "What did you tell your parents?"
Piya: "I told them that I had a research paper to do, that I stayed at college. I felt so weird lying to them. I never lied to them before"
Abhay: "You'll get used to it...I mean don't worry, you didn't do anythin wrong"
(Piya then looks at the stars. Abhay looks at her like he wants to hold her in his arms. Piya, notices and looks at him, Abhay looks away like he wasn't looking at her. She starts looking at him with love, and she starts shivering from the cold. Abhay takes his coat off and puts it on her shoulders. Piya looks at him as he puts his coat on and suddenly they start kissing. Piya stops, and pulls away and turns around. Abhay hits himself on the head, mad at himself)
Abhay: "I am sorry, I didn't mean to kiss you... I will just go now" ( he gets up and walks away)
(Piya remembers what Misha had said about liking Jeh and remembers her mom's words about having a boyfriend. She touches her lips and looks at Abhay).
Piya: "Abhay, wait, please don't go" (she runs to him and hugs him tight)
Abhay: (hugging her ) "I love you"
Piya: "I love you, so much"
Abhay: "I knew it"
Piya: "what?"
Abhay: "Oh, nothing" ( he says YES! to himself happily still hugging her)
Abhay: "It is so great having you in my arms" ( holding her fingers and kissing them)
Piya: "It is great being in your arms" (hugs him again)
Piya: "Promise me that nothing will come between us"
Abhay: "I promise you...I will never let anything separate us"

Spring Dance
Jeh: "Here, just the way you like it"
Misha: "Thanks" (taking the drink)
(He sits next to her, while the rest are dancing. Panchi and her friends come on the dance floor, and Jeh starts looking at her.)
Jeh: (to Misha) "Would you like to dance?"
Misha: "Sure" ( they get up and go to the dance floor)
(while they dance, Jeh looks at Panchi and when Panchi looks at him, he starts to touch Misha's hand, trying to make Panchi jealous. Panchi looks at Misha and asks her friend).
Panchi: "Isn't that Piya's best friend?"
Friend: "yeah, she is, why?"
Panchi: "wait and watch" ( she goes close to Jeh and Misha)
(Misha notices how Jeh is looking at panchi)
Misha: "Who is that girl?"
Jeh: "I don't know, why are you asking me?"
Misha:"If you don't know her, why do you keep on staring at her"
Jeh: "No reason"
(A slow song is playing...Jeh grabs Misha and dances with her. Panchi goes towards them.)
Panchi: "Hey Jeh, I know what you are trying to do. You brought her here to make me jealous, and get back with me. Sorry to dissappoint you, but it's not working" ( she laughs and leaves)
(Misha looks at Jeh angry and confused)
Misha: "Is what she said true?" (holding back her tears)
(Jeh looks down sad and feeling guilty)
Misha: " so you used me to get back with her? and I thought you liked me" (runs out crying)
Jeh: "Misha, please wait...I am sorry" (runs after her and catches up...grabs her arm)
Jeh: "Please, listen to me, I am so sorry"
Misha: "Let go of me" ( angry)
Jeh: " at least let me take you home"
Misha: "taxi...taxi" (she yells out for a taxi and pulls herself out of his arms)
Jeh: "for God's sake, it's late, let me take you"
(a taxi comes and stops infront of her...she gets in)
Misha: " Don't you dare ever talk to me again" (closes the taxi door and the taxi goes).
Jeh: "Misha, I am sorry"
(Misha looks at him from inside the car, crying. Panchi watches all this from inside the dance place and laughs).
Panchi: (to his friend) "that's what you get for messing up with me"
(Jeh comes in, sees Panchi and comes towards her.)
Jeh: "you are evil, and you are wrong. I don't want to be with you, you are the last person I would want to go out with!" (angry and leaves)
Panchi: "whatever" (continues her evil smile)
(The dance is over, and it's the next day. Abhay and Piya come to college together holding hands. Everybody is looking at them, gossiping).
Piya: "Abhay? why is everybody looking at us like that? especially me?"
Abhay: "I guess they are jealous..." (laughs and kisses her on the cheek)
( Panchi sees the whole thing and comes towards them.)
Panchi: "Abhay? what do you think you are doing?" ( while he is buying two cups of coffee)
Abhay: "I am buying coffee...u want some?" (making fun)
Panchi: "no, I mean what are you doing with her?"
Abhay: "oh yeah I didn't introduce you guys...Panchi this is my girlfriend, my love, and my life partner, and Piya darling, this is...who are you?" (laughing)
Panchi: "this **** is your girlfriend?"
(Piya gets angry and slaps Panchi hard. Panchi tries to slap Piya back, but Abhay grabs her hand.)
Abhay: "Don't even think about it"
Panchi: "oh but you're gonna let her slap me like that?" (says getting angry)
Abhay: "you started it...and you are starting to get on our nerves, so leave us alone. For once in your life, do something thoughtful" (takes the coffee and goes with Piya)
(Panchi stares at Piya with an attitude as they walk. They go and sit down ).
Piya: "Abhay, thanks"
Abhay: "for what?"
Piya: "for what you did there"
Abhay: "Oh that?? hmmm...I will do anything for you...I can even bring down the stars if you ask me to"
Piya: "ok, please bring down the stars for me" (Piya jokes)
(Abhay spills his coffee)
Abhay: "you are serious?"
Piya: "yeah...weren't you?"
Abhay: "well...you know..." (doesn't know what to say)
(Piya starts laughing and Abhay joins her)
Piya: "I was just joking, but I am glad I said this, so that next time guys should think before they promise a girl something"
Abhay: "hey, If I could, I would even bring down the moon for you..." (serious)
Piya: (smiling) "The only thing I want you to bring down is your attitude towards her"
Abhay: "towards who? you mean Panchi?"
Piya: "yes. I know she is not friendly and can be rude, but admit it, she likes you, and nobody deserves a rude behaviour"
Abhay: "I guess you are right...but anyways, I don't want to talk about her now, I want to talk about us" (he says and goes next to her and starts to kiss her fingers. They both start laughing).
(AT the same time, Misha comes to college sad. Jeh sees her and runs towards her.)
Jeh: "Misha, I need to talk to you, please wait" (catching up to her)
Misha: (still walking fast) " I don't want to talk to you" (mad)
(he grabs her arm and pulls towards him)
Misha: "let me go"
Jeh: "I know what I did was wrong, but I want to start over, I really like you"
Misha: "you should have thought about that before...now let me go"
Jeh: "Not before you forgive me"
Misha: "I want to go"
Jeh: "No!"
Misha: "I will scream"
(he finally lets her go and she runs away crying. He looks at her as she leaves.)
