Chapter 22 (Forever yours)

Alina's POV:

The doctors told me to stay outside. I couldn't stop shaking. I won't be able to save her. Her heart stopped once and again started beating very slowly and doctors were saying measuring the heart rates she might… NO.. I know who's fault it is. I'm sure of it. I couldn't stop my tears thinking of innocent Pia dying like this, thinking of my brother Jeh who would die also if something happens to her, thinking of being the sister of Pia's killer. I hated myself. When I told Jeh, Pia is in hospital he also knew could have done it. His rage, pain and vulnerability made me sad. He didn't even come to see Pia but he is out there searching Gaurav bhai. My family is broken forever. I burst into crying and didn't realize I'm out of the ICU already. Suddenly I realized a soft and on my shoulder soothing me, "hey… don't cry please. I know how you feel. She will be alright. Trust me." I looked back at Aryan. Damn I forgot he could hear me. He wiped my tears gently and I started crying even more. He pulled me closer and I hugged him. I cried on his shoulder feeling like an idiot but couldn't stop. He tried to soothe me but I mumbled, "I feel miserable. My family is completely broken. I couldn't save her. She has always been good to me. She did nothing…no harm to anyone." Aryan just stroked my hair and assured me, "don't worry. Good things always happen with good people. She will be ok. God won't do this to her and my brother. If something happens to her…" he couldn't complete the sentence when I told him, "Aryan. Pia's heartbeat stopped once, twice and it stopped working but again doctor's found her breathing and her heart working. It's very slow. They said…" I couldn't complete the sentence either. We can just HOPE.

Abhay's POV:

I could hear many voices in the hospital corridor near ICU. Misha was taking to a man in low voice; Arman was talking on her BB giving Pia's news to Pia's mama Praveen Jaiswal. Alina is crying and Aryan is trying to console her. There are more people I couldn't recognize and I can't enter ICU infront of everyone. I heard the doctors saying 24 hours observation and noone can enter between this time. I CAN. So I entered through the window. It's in the 9^th floor only. Nothing for me to climb up. I looked at her. There she is, lying on the bed looking pale but still peaceful. There's bandage, oxygen mask and tubes everywhere on her beautiful face. Wounds on her forehead, throat, and hands are still fresh and I could smell her blood too well. But right now the blood didn't bother me. I sat beside her as I felt my hands are trembling. Ain't I supposed to be dead? Ain't I supposed to be impassive? Then why there's so much pain seeing her like this I could hardly bear. Why her life and death fight is like worst then someone stabbing me billon times in my heart? Love is so strange. Can a vampire really love? All the time I only wanted to keep her safe and far from me and that's what she has done when I left her for less then 14 hours. Her hands have fractured. I can't do anything about the internal injuries but I can heal the external injuries. I touched her face with my trembling hands and I could feel blood coming out of my eyes, "what have you done to yourself Pia? I left you for such a short span and this is what you do to yourself? This is my entire fault. I should never have left you in the first place. I have seen before you never take care of yourself. I would make it ok. I promise."

There are stitches on her throat. I kissed her throat very carefully to heal her wounds then forehead and her hands. The smell of her delicious blood was calling me but the animal within me is silent because of the human that she always brought in me. The person I become when she is near me. I kissed and heal every wound she had. But I can't heal her internal injuries and I can see her heartbeat is still very very slow so there's only 1 thing I could do. I could give her my blood which would heal her. I don't have time to think about the connection. With or without blood she is an inevitable part of my life. She was always right and I was wrong. I can't deny what we have and from now I will always protect her no matter what. I pulled the syringe out of the blood bag hanging above and connected to Pia's body. I put the syringe on my veins instead. Now my blood will directly go into her system. I sat there holding her hand and watching her sleep. Even in misery, my sleeping angel is beautiful. She is the angel for me because she brings out the human within the beast I'm to the world. She is my love and the heartbeat of a deadbody like me – my Pia. I promise I will love you and protect you till the end of time I whispered once again kissing her forehead again. My blood should start working before 24hours.

Aryan's POV:

We sat there motionless waiting for 24 hours to end. Doctors said noone can see Pia within that time. Her mama is coming from Manali. On the way. Amber is still missing. No idea where she is. I think Arman likes her. It's natural he is worried about Pia but I can sense his worry about Amber too. It's different from his concern about Pia. Poor guy.. What's with humans? Can't they find anyone like them to fall in love? It's a global crisis in all species. Look at Alina. She is a hybrid and *sigh* in love with me. I can't give her what she wants. Meaning myself because I belong to Peehu. But I can always try. Our lives are too long for staying alone. However, the biggest question is WHERE IS ABHAY? Misha is constantly asking about Abhay… so are the doctors but Pia is uttering his name even without her senses. I can feel Abhay's presence nearby. I know he is here and I have a feeling he is INSIDE with Pia where no1 can reach now. Suddenly Arman came to me, "Kabir called and he said Amber's car has been found near the jungle. West side."

I was worried, "It means she wasn't with the car?" Arman shook his head looking pale, "No. I'm going there to search for her. Kabir is looking for her too. You don't worry and stay here. You are needed here for everyone. ok?" But I was adamant to stay. "No way. I also need to go." Arman shook his head, "trust me. She is very important to me as well and I'm sure she is alright. We will find her. You keep connected to me through phone. I will call the moment when I get news." Seeing the circumstances and until I'm sure Abhay is here I need to be here as well and besides Amber is no fragile human but a vampire. She can protect herself.

Arman's POV:

I looked at Mish and Papa. The ice seems to be melting. AT LAST!! Dad coming to help Misha's best friend and housemate has certainly touched Misha and she is talking to Papa now. I hope it means the reunion of our family. When I reached the spot where Amber's car was spotted she was obviously not there. There was no sign of struggle. I told Kabir to go to hospital and I will report about the car to police. He insisted on being with me but I convinced him to leave. I looked around again entering the jungle but nothing was there. Could it be the wolves? I shuddered at the thought. Does that mean dad was right? What was she doing here anyway? She is supposed to go to Pia's place. Suddenly I remember about 1 thing. Amby's Bluetooth is always one so within a certain range she will come in my Bluetooth list if I search for her. I searched, her phone name didn't appear. Before entering the jungle I took my gun with wooden bullets from the back of my car and headed deep inside it. After almost 20 minutes, her Bluetooth name appeared on my list. She is nearby.

Amber's POV:

I couldn't move. My entire body is in pain because I'm chained with silver. That son a b**** Gaurav tricked me. A body was lying in the middle of the road like someone is hurt and as soon as I stepped out to help the silver chain came over my body. He thrashed me and pulled me with the chain all through the road to jungle. I couldn't bear the pain any longer and fainted. I hope Pia is alright. I didn't move but concentrated on the sounds. I could hear two voices talking no arguing. I tried to forget the pain and concentrate on the voices. On of them was Gaurav.

Jeh: "she was your wife bhai. How could you? I want to kill Abhay as much as you do. But she didn't kill my mom."

"Jeh, this is natural survival instincts. In the jungle when it becomes difficult for an animal to survive what would be it's action? It either kills the source of problem or gets killed. Same with us. We are animals but different kinds. We don't do adjustments or compromises. She is a living dead now and she has to die. If I don't kill her she or her so called family will kill me and US. What wife are you talking about Jeh? I was married to her 100 years ago. And in this long life 100 years is nothing. When will you act like what you are?"

Jeh (confused): "Now Abhay will come after your life anyway. What Pia did to you? You tried to kill her through a hired killer so it looks like an accident? I told you NOT HER…!! You tried to kill her through a human because you knew you can't pass through the wizard's hocus-pocus."

Gaurav (angry): "Enough. Go back to the clan and prepare them for the battle. We are about to attack Raichand House. This is an ORDER. Not of a brother but the leader of your clan. Alina is no longer the leader and I will take it from here. You are BOUND to follow my orders. Now GO."

Jeh was silent and I could hear his fast breathing. He is restless. But there's a third heartbeat, another person is here. I can't see any of them then why the 3^rd person is not talking? I heard Jeh leaving and Gaurav coming near. I struggled to come out of the silver chains but it burnt my skin so badly it hurts. Gaurav was laughing, "You look even better in this short cloths. You were always beautiful though. Too bad even 100 years couldn't change your fate. Dead or alive I will be the one killing you and he started transforming into a werewolf. This raucous and evil laugh was boiling my blood. The effect of silver chain has my eyes tuning into blue and my fangs were out anyway. I struggled even more when I heard a gun fire and within seconds Gaurav fell on the ground. I looked at the source of the fire and the sight shook my existence. It was Arman. He looked similarly shocked or even more. He almost whispered, "Don't worry. He is not dead. Just wounded. Wooden bullets." The only thing I managed to utter was, "How do you know?" The answer shocked the hell out of me, "because I'm a vampire hunter but hunting a werewolf was the first time."

Aryan's POV:

It's been almost 5 hours and it's dawn nearby. Alina is still leaning near me and Misha is asleep on the couch. Her father Mr. dobriyal is still sitting with his daughter. Abhay has made his public appearance 1 hour ago. Can vampires have dark circles? I think he already looks like that. I asked him if he was there before and he just nodded. That means I was right. He was inside with Pia. I tried to say sorry. Feeling guilty for failing to protect her but he stopped me, "It's my fault Aryan. Noone else's. It was my duty and not yours. I failed." I felt even worse. He isn't talking. He won't until Pia is awake. Arman called twice to confirm is Pia is fine and informed Amber's fine but she was unwell so he is taking him home. This unwell word is not good because she is a vampire so I had to know if she was pretending with him or vampire unwell? She isn't taking call either but simply text me, "Don't worry about me. Take care of Pia. Be there." That is when we saw Doctor's entering ICU and the nurse informed someone pressed the button from Pia's room that means she is awake. We almost jumped but Abhay couldn't move. The doctors came out of the ICU 15 minutes later which seemed like 15 years. Even the doctor was amazed. "It's a miracle. She is fine. I have never seen such a miraculous fast recovery in my medical life. Seems like some angel blessed her." I smiled looking at Abhay, "sure he has." With permission I was the first person entering the room. She still has bandage on head and her stitches looking dry near the throat. Her hand is plastered and she is pale. She tried to smile at me looking violently weak but her eyes were searching for "you-know-who". She gestured me to come near her and asked, "Where's Abhay? Won't he come? I remember everything now Aryan. You and Abhay. Manali." I was so shocked that couldn't say anything. When Abhay entered Pia's expressions changed the moment she saw her. I sighed, they were looking at each other and their eyes were silently speaking language of love and longing I couldn't fathom. She headed her trembling not injured hand towards Abhay and he slowly walked near her bed. As a wizard I can feel the myriad of emotions going through both of them. I felt so bad, why fate is so cruel to them? As soon as Abhay sat near her bed, she touched the curves of his with face with her shaky hands. Her lips quavered trying to control the overwhelming emotions inside her and tears started falling.

Abhay's POV:

I could hear Aryan whispering, "Someone is so screwed." I can't even glare at him right now. This is not the reaction I expected. I felt Aryan leaving the room. Why can't I speak? I touched her hand on my face spreading warmth and kissed her palm. Pia pulled her hand from mine and asked me with teary eyes, why did you leave me Abhay?" I never fell short of words like this. Part of me was relieved; delighted to see her alive and happy, wanted to hold her forever, kiss her, feel her lilac smelled skin again and part of me wanted to run away right now. It was like she could read my mind, "Don't even think of running again Abhay. I know you were here. You saved me. I heard you." I looked at her with disbelief and could only say, "Pia, I'm so sorry. I'm just happy to see you alright."

"Don't try to change the subject. I know you were here. I felt you. You can't hide from me anymore Abhay. You always saved me when I was lost in Manali. I'm alive because of you. How you could even thought of separating me from you. You did all this to hide your secret from me? Before taking my memory did you ask for once what I wanted? You can't take decisions about both of us Abhay. I have the right to take my own decisions. I was shocked to know the truth. all I needed was a little time."

I was flabbergasted to know her memories came back. It means she died? Her heart must have stopped once and she regained life again. Vampire compulsion would break if someone gets a new life. Look at her just now. Who would say she suffered a near death situation. Her energy is renewed the moment she saw me and now bombarding me with questions!! "I was trying to protect you Pia. Can't you see I'm no good for you? I'm like a curse on you who would consume you in the darkness. Look at yourself and remember whatever happened to you in Manali is only because you were with me. You deserve to be happy and safe and I will protect you always. But I can't give you what you want." I couldn't bear the pain of looking at her and turned my head. Otherwise I will be lost in her baby brown eyes again.

Pia' POV:

He is again trying to push me away. That's exactly what he always does. He loves me even more then I love him and that's why he could sacrifice his love but I can't be great like him. He once shoved me away from him and this time I ain't gonna make it happen. Does he realize he is still holding my hand like never to let me go and again saying his favorite stay away line. "Abhay, you are not my bodyguard. I don't want your security services. I want your love. I'm not great like u. I want YOU. If I got into danger because of you, don't forget I'm also alive because of you. It was our destiny Abhay. You can't change it. Our love is written on the stars. See we drifted apart, me even forgot the moments we had together but still you were always there in my heart. You took my memory but still I dreamt about you every night till I saw you again. If you are an animal how could you manage to save me so many times? Look what I'm without you. I was lost until I found you again. I took his hand and placed it on my heart. Here – feel it. I dare you take my memory again but how would you take your name from here? I have captured you forever here in my heart." I looked at Abhay and I could tell he wants me exactly how much I wanted him but his face is full of pain. I couldn't stop my tear.s He tried to shake his head and it made me angry. Then you better kill me or let me die. Because I'm as good as dead without you anyway. I started pulling the tubes out of different part of my body winching pain but it wasn't harder then letting Abhay go. He stopped me pushing my hand strongly and scolding me, "You are a dangerous creature Pia jaiswal. Stop behaving like a crazy woman because I know how to control you. you are going home with me and we will see what happens." He wiped out the tears of my face gently and kissed my eyes making me content. "Don't you see I love you too Pia. I just want to see you happy and if you are happy and safe with me – that is what I will do with you. Whatever makes you happy." I also know how to tame him down. I touched his face with all the love I have, "I love you too much to let you go Abhay. I died hundred times when you are not with me. Please don't leave me again Abhay. Promise me you will be with me just like you said. Till the end of time." He kissed my hand and caressed my face with his other hand, "promise."

"Then you will get your punishment for what you did to me." Abhay smiled a little, "yes mam." I know this life time opportunity might not come again, "promise me from now on you will do whatever I say." He raised his eyebrows but smiled, "yes mam. So what would be my first punishment?" I could feel my cheeks getting red even more saying this but I wont get a hand on this arrogant vampire again and again, "you pushed me away from you and I was without your love for like 8 months = 240 days so (why I'm stammering? I could feel Abhay's suspicion rising) you would kiss me 240 times. Abhay gaped at my saying, "this is the punishment you want me to give?"

Aryan's POV:

Misha could break the door to see Pia anytime now when finally after 1 hour my brother came out. His face is good enough to say everything settle down for now. Before I could speak Misha shouted, "If you guys are done doing coochie-coo can me and Alina see our friend? Please." Abhay almost blushed and nodded. Abhay blushed!! Someone should hit me right now!! He looked at me and slowly said, "her memory is back." I nodded, "I know." He gritted his teeth, "Thanks for no warning." I'm still trying to figure out how she could remember everything. I told him that Alina saw Pia's heart skipped several beats and then it stopped for 15 seconds and then it started beating again. So technically she died for 15 seconds. Vampire compulsions will break if someone dies and comes back. Abhay nodded, "it's different though because it happens people's heart stop working and then they come back to life so it's like her 2^nd life. I donno what's gonna happen with me in near future. Forget about being scared of me. I had to promise her that from now on I would do anything she says." My entire body was shaking with laughter, 'this is called ab aya ut pahar ke niche." He glared at me and hissed, "yea. Laugh. She said the same treatment for you because you are her friend." My smile vanished but I couldn't be happier. "Lets talk to the doctor and get her home. I have my 1^st punishment task pending and anything can happen while accomplishing it."

Don't throw ande tamatar at me for ending it here guys... this chapter was already too long. 🤣
