I don't think I deserve a sad ending after all. Story toh kab ke bhaad mein gaya and why should the ending be made epic and totally out of the way. The day Abhay turned human and they started living together, it got over. So it would definetely not be an epic if it has a sad ending but a total misfit. I would prefer my mind to be light by seeing a happy ending instead of suffering with a heavy heart about the sad ending.
I am not happy with the ending, but again I was not happy with the story line too where finally Aag converts himself to patanga instead of patanga getting fanaah.Coming to Romeo Juliet and other stories, its just not because of the tragic end that they were epic but because the way the love stories were written. Hamlet,Othello,King Lear all have tragic endings but people also liked the plays with happy ending like As you like it, Twelfth Night, Merchant of Venice.Expecting a sad ending at this point of time is only like Shylock wanting a pound of flesh from Antonio for not keeping up with his word of repaying in time. He never gave a thought what he would gain by a pound of flesh from Antonio's heart. But just because it would soothe his heart, he was adamant on this decision. So when the story itself had gone out of track, why do we need Anhay and Piya die at the end rather than live at the end. After all life is better than death when the story line is crap.
