Siddhant Karnick talks 11.11.11
Talking about the film, he says, "It's a very interesting project. The theme is 11 and it's made by 11 directors, shot by 11 cinematographers, and was released on 11.11.11. It's a story about 11 games and gamers and how they start dying one by one sharply at 11 PM. The length of the film is also 11 minutes and 11 seconds."
He had fun doing this role and enjoyed the experience. "It was fun working for the film as it was a very different project. I play an Indian gamer in the film. I would often interact with people from Canada using Skype and have rehearsals online," he tells.
How has been the response? "I was at a friend's wedding in Pune, so I haven't really been updated. But the film premiered online on 11.11.11 at 11:11 AM so not many people could see it online. But so far, from I have heard people loved the film," he says.
He seems to be attracted towards short films as earlier too he did a French short film called Au Revoir which was selected for Cannes earlier this year. He explains, "It's nothing that I'm more attracted towards short films. I am an actor and I only care about good work. Be it theatre, television or films, I only want to good and intense roles."
What else he has been upto? He answers, "I just finished shooting a film with Farooq Sheikh and Deepti Naval. Soon, it will be sometime for the film to release as we just finished.
However, there's nothing new on television front. But my group and I will represent India at the Amsterdam Comedy Festival where we will be given a random topic by the audience and we have to present a comedy act immediately. So that should be exciting."
