Why do you want to be called Sky?
Earlier it was only my near and dear ones who called me by my pet name, but now I guess it is better that everyone becomes as close and all it takes is to be called sky.
What kind of a person is Sky?
A regular, silly, smart, sexy and a very human person.
Why did you give your consent to take part in Bigg Boss Season 5? Were you offered any previous seasons?I think everyone loves a little bit of green and I guess it's natural. I was never offered Bigg Boss before. It's a good interesting show with an interesting format.
You have not been in the limelight lately and have disappeared from daily soaps scenario...
I did television for four years and got four awards for my work. Doing movies was my dream when I started as a model. All I would think of was only movies. So after doing television I wanted to excel in my career and the only way to do so was to stop doing television as it took nearly 36 hours continuously. Also someone from the industry suggested that since I am in everyone's house from Monday to Friday I needed to stay away for four years to have a fresh start in the films. Soon I will give some good news about my work.
This is your third reality show..Is Money the lure?
Yes! And also the thing is you are not in a long time commitment like when you do fiction. A reality show is always comforting as it never goes over a two month commitment. Money is definitely important for anyone's career.
What are your interests other than acting?
Anything that requires being creative.
Are you disillusioned in love after many heart breaks?
Yes, but I also have faith in love, that's the reason I keep falling for it again and again (laughs).
You always have had an arrogant image. Why didn't you ever make an effort to rectify it?
Well, people only heard stuff about me and judged me on it, but they never saw me do anything bad. And when I don't blame anyone for anything, then why should I give any explanation to anyone. I always thought very regular. I guess I should've cleared the air then, I wouldn't have been so misunderstood. I am a very normal human being.
You have Amar Upadhyay in the show who was also a part of Kyunki like you. Is it a sheer co-incidence or destiny?I don't know, but I believe in destiny so I guess it is. I know him only socially because when I was in Kyunki he had already left the show.
Which issues are close to your heart; Old age people, underprivileged children?
Both, sometimes I wish I was given the opportunity to run the country. I think I would bring a lot to change in the face of our nation which is so rich and at the same time so poor with so many issues like these floating and nothing is done for the same.
Whom would you like to date from Bigg Boss Season 5 participants?
Raageshwari; Ironically she is out of the house.
Do you have phobias?Heights. It gives me the creep.
What changes have you found in the industry since the time you started?Lots, but just to begin with I would say, now everything has gone techno savvy in television, everything is in HD format and I think that's just the very big step in the right direction. TV industry is of the people, by the people and for the people.
How is your equation with Ekta Kapoor?
Oh! She is the sweetest female buddy I have. I completely love, respect and adore her for what she has given to this industry. I think in time there will be places, roads, railways and other stuff named after her. She just keeps making history all the time, be it television or films, she just rocks. I met her just a day before I left for Bigg Boss. She is one of the nicest persons on earth.
