India, Dehradoon, Raichand Mansion

Haseena & Chand just entered the mansion after their hunting when they were welcomed by the petrified faces of the servants who were hudled in the living room all looking as though expecting to be be-headed mercilessly by a ruthless butcher. They sighed & both wondered in unison. "What Now?"

Haseena enquired what is the matter with them when her queries were answered by the booming sound of her son Abhay who seems to be in one of his towering temper which are now routine.

Flabbergasted Chand headed towards his study & Haseena towards the gulliotone i.e Abhay's room.

"What do you mean by you did not notice? I do not pay people so that things goes unnoticed & wasted in my house. Those flowers are already wilted does it take the efforts of Herculean to water the flower vases in the house?" shouted Abhay as though the servant has forgotten to give a patient his medicine.

Haseena entered the room to witness a trembling servant trying to clean the & collect the pieces of glasses from the big mirror which had clearly borne the wrath of Abhay's anger.

Abhay looking even more handsome & deadly gorgeous with his perfect jawline tightened in anger took no notice of his mother's entry & looked without any mercy towards the man in disgust & uttered, " You are fired."

The man looked up at him with eyes full of tears & begged for another chance. But Abhay remained unmoved not a muscle moved in his face nor did his eyes showed any feelings except fury without which he could have been well mistaken to be a statue carved out of a cold stone.

Haseena- "Abhay forgive him. Its just a small mistake."

Abhay turned raising an eyebrow- "Big or small mom Mistake is after all a mistake. I have to go to office. When I come back I don't want to see his face again."

Haseena- "If you don't have any need for him than he will help the others & don't worry you won't see him again but I am not going to allow you to fire him just because he forgot to water your flowers," Haseena said looking at the big vase where a big bunch of Roses were slightly drooping.

Haseena ordered the servant to go and looked at her son wondering whether this is the same Abhay who was always on the verge to expose them in order to save a or help a human, for whom a faint cry or a single drop of tears from even a stranger was enough to make him forget who he is and do even the impossible to help him/her. Be it his family, clan, friends or even enemies everyone has once seen the Abhay who was regarded as an angel by those who loves him & a fool by his enemies.

Not anymore.

Abhay notices his mother still looking at him wistfully & snapped his fingers in front of her eyes.

Abhay smirking -"Day dreaming Mom? I thought you & dad were out hunting? Didn't you find any alone time to spent?"

Haseena-"Abhay what is all this & how long will we have to bear it? I am now tired of asking the same question time & again. What happened to you Abhay? If there is something we did wrong then tell us? Why so hard, emotionless & distant? Why?"

Abhay-"Get a life mother. Oops double oops we cant have a life can we? I mean we are the undead. So yeah coming to the why are you worried so much? This is what you & dad always wanted isn't it? A powerful Vamipre Leader for a son. Now, How do you expect me to be that if you also want me to get a hanky out of my pocket & rub everyone's running eyes & nose for that matter. How can someone with emotions & kindness lead the clan of The Ultimate Heartless Creatures to walk this earth. VAMPIRES. huh " He added cheekily.

Though he said all this in a slight humour Haseena recognized the supressed hatred in his words. Hatred for them, the world & himself.

Haseena-"All I am trying to say is that I feel like I don't know you anymore. Where have I lost my son who cared to retain whatever humanity he had that he almost forgot his own basic instinct? A son who was an Angel in the guise of a monster"

The word angel stabbed his dead heart & for a nano second Haseena caught a glimpse of unmistakable pain in her son's otherwise cold eyes.

Fighting the lump created by the memories related with that simple & single word Abhay composed himself & whispered, "How can I say where you lost your son mom when I myself don't know where I myself lost everything."

And without a further word he walked out of the house.

Somewhere in the jungle of Dehradoon

Jeh- "Stop this madness Alina. He does not love you. He used you to cure his own mother. He himself said that to you. How hard is it to believe when it comes straight from the horse's mouth or rather a leach's mouth?" spat Jeh angrily.

Alina- "Don't call him that. I love him Bhai & I know he used me but he never wanted to hurt me. He did all that because his father wanted him to do."

Jeh- "No matter from which angle you are looking Alina the view is still the same. HE.DOES NOT LOVE YOU. Open your eyes baby sis."

Alina- "So, what? I won't give up. He has to love me back. By hook or by crook."

Jeh for the first time saw the glint of an animal in her sisters eyes as she declared her decision.
