An excited shriek broke that intense eye lock between Abhiya.

"Eee wow Alina & Abhay they are so perfect hain na Pia?" asked Ruhi.

"Ye…ye..s" stuttered Pia trying to conceal the pain that is stabbing her since last night ever since she saw a smiling Alina in Her Love's arm. Arms which is home to Pia. Her refuge from sadness, worries & fright. She can't bear someone else there. Pia was fighting with her tears which were threatening to overflow from those chocolate brown eyes.

Abhay & Alina were walking towards them, Alina quite aware of the eyes & whispering following her & Abhay. She can't believe her luck that the most desirable man in the whole college is walking besides her. While she is glowing with happiness & blushing a bit with shyness, Abhay on the other hand was fighting with every nerve of his body which was yearning to run towards Pia to engulf her in bone crushing hug & plant a kiss of re-assurance on those rosy lips.

He can't believe he was doing this to her. It was the same Pia whose happiness meant the world to Abhay. The Pia for whose happiness he was willing to sacrifice his love & even endure the worse-than-being- stabbed with a hundred knife pain of watching her with other man.

"Hi friends," greeted Alina.

"Hi Alina or should I say the new Diva of Mount College?" replied Ruhi. Pia nodded with a smile towards Alina and totally avoided meeting Abhay's gaze.

"Ok tracker so now you keep the new love birds some company, I, have work to do in the library. Bye." and with that she departed at full speed as far away from them leaving a pleasantly flushed Alina, awed Ruhi & thoroughly confused & hurt Abhay.

"Whats with you Pia? You've is been avoiding me like a plague since last night. I know its hard for her but does she think I am enjoying my new role of lover-cum-destroyer of the Khuranas via Alina? thought Abhay angrily.

Pia has defied each & every attempt of Abhay at the party to reach her & console her as he knew how difficult it must be for her, but no Madam Paris Return has been playing Tom & Jerry with him leaving him frustrated.

"I'll see how long you avoid me & remain angry with me Miss Dobrial. I know exactly how to bring my favourite sight that of a smile on your lips" Abhay thought smirking to himself a plan already formed in his head.

Abhay: Alina I'll see u later need to go. I have an assignment to finish which I forgot.

Alina (face disappointing): Ok will we be going back together? She asked expectantly.

Abhay looked at her gave her his best dimpled smile: "Of course. ( like I have a choice? He thought to himself. I am so sorry for what I am doing to you. Hope u will never forgive I don't deserve that after ruining a pure soul like you)."

He walked away dialing a number on his phone and a mischievous grin playing at his lips.
