Pia is the only person who can make Abhay cry or smile. Even Maithli does not hold that power over Abhay.

Thats also one thing that stood out to me...his love for Piya far surpasses his love for Maithli who was his first love...Just goes to throw that argument out the window that he loves her because she reminds her of Maithli but its obvious that that is not the case and he loves Piya for PIYA...nothing else...and it is the strongest love he has ever felt.
