it takes time for sleeping pills to act. it dosnt knock u off instantly, and probably misha reached her on time. moreover, like shrish pointed out, being medicinal in nature, sleeping pills are not so dangerous. even if panchi would not have got any attention till morning, she may still have not died, she would hv seriously fallen ill, but not died.
