A1: I'm not being objective, I ADMIT that, but for me, AbhIya is still the center of the show and if it isn't revolving around them, it's out of focus of me, even if it's been so from the beginning.
Off topic I'll have to go a bit to justify myself and my lack of objectivity 'coz if I have to look at it objectively, the only thing I see is how AbhIya fans got cheated because the development of their love story and screenspace was compromised most of the times for things which held no relevance. Sidetracks contribute to the main plot (which IMO was suppose to be AbhIya), or are suppose to anyway. Till date, I haven't seen even one side plot, except Danish-Maya's which did so. Months back when I got irritated with that track, I never knew that it would prove to be the only one which actually did something for AbhIya.
I know most people view this as Abhay's story and trust me, it's fair enough. I am not blaming you or other people who do that and it is totally natural 'coz I admit, Abhay has been getting way more screenspace and focus than AbhIya.
But then, why did they say it was AbhIya's love story? I know shows deviate from their main plot and what they say in the synopsis. All of them do ultimately but after they've reached a certain level in what they said. And the irony of the situation is that we, AbhIya fans, are STILL waiting for the story to shift it's focus to what is the main plot for us. Our attachment to AbhIya stays where it was in Dec'10 which is why we are not being able to see this as anything else.
A2: There is NO doubt that Abhay still loves Maithili. It was evident even before he couldn't kill her. Maithili's memories never left him and I never expected them to, either. I always said that Pia will ultimately create her own place in Abhay's heart but she will never be able to take Maithili's place and that was the ideal thing for me as well <33
