Q2. Does Abhay somewhere still love Maithli? Am just curious . Or maybe i could never arrive on a clear cut conclusion. Yes, Abhay's soulmate is Piya and am not raising any suspicions on that. But will Abhay always have a soft special corner for Maithli? I mean, Abhay was not able to hurt Maithli even an inch inspite of knowing that she had kept him in the dark for 200 years? When Abhay was sinking , he had told Piya that him and Maithli could not kill each-other because when you love somebody you cannot kill that person. What exactly did Abhay mean? That he has chosen Piya but will never be able to release a certain part of himself from Maithli or that Maithli's memories will never leave him?

the pyaar ki ek kahani has always been about piya and abhay...atleast for me...i guess its only natural that abhay cannot find it in his heart to completely hate maithili after everything...lets not forget this is the woman he loved for like 200 years...its not easy to just kill someone you've loved for so long just like that...but after everything...even knowing that maithili was back, he chose to protect piya...

im kind of glad that abhay wasnt able to hurt maithili easily...otherwise it i would never have called what they used to have-true love...

if it had been that easy to hate someone u loved before..then u just didnt love them at all...so im glad they have atleast stayed true to their word of abhay having actually loved maithili in the past...

still, having said that, i do believe he now genuinely loves piya...maybe earlier i had doubts about the legitimacy of his attraction to her...whether it was just about the face...or more...but i would like to believe that the stage of thinking he likes her cos she resembled his past love is now gone...abhay definitley loves piya...for herself...not as a mirror to someone else...

but still...it is an intruiging thought, i will admit.. :)

Abhay. I think he is the center of the story. I am not saying it because I love Abhay but because it seems like he makes everything/ everybody revolvearound him.

Pinkoo, the love also has different intensities. Abhay is a very different kind of person - well he is The Hero. He loved Maithili where she was everything for him - so much that he couldn't even stay away from her look-alike. I think even now it will be hard for him to hurt her but that doesn't mean he loves her with that intensity. Still, if he has to choose, he will choose humanity over everything.

Why am I asking all this? JUST CURIOUS.
