Abhay-Piya : Misha and Jay tried so hard to….
…..to make you smile, to cheer you up, to get the truth out of you , to make you move on, to force you to admit what you feel. But result ? ZERO.
" I know you are a distant dream. I know you are a fairytale I read every night so that I can meet you in the other world when I sleep. I hurt you, I hate you, I question you, I punish you , not because I want to forget you. I do all the stupid things in this world because somewhere I know , that I will always remember you more than I can handle without bursting into tears."
I know many of you are not going to agree with me but it's a rather weird observation. I haven't seen Abhay and Piya look so lost, forlorn , lonely and helpless without each-other in a long long time. It was almost as if they both actually had no self-control or sensible restraint when it came to looking at each-other. In Piya's case , I don't blame Jay at all because the guy was actually trying to cheer her up and deviate her away from Abhay's thoughts or looking at him. But Misha surely ripped Abhay open regarding Piya. Abhay had come charging in to the party hunting for poor Doshi but BANG! Misha threw Abhay's game in his face , taking him totally by surprise . She could read it on Abhay's face that he was playing around and lying blatantly about not having to do anything with Piya. And the more Misha shoved the truth down his face, the more vulnerable Abhay felt. The poor thing even internally begged Misha to stop playing these games with him because as it is , it is a Herculean task for Abhay to 'hate' Piya. So, even though Abhay did not crack under Misha's pressure , the suppressed feelings for Piya rose to the fore.
Just look at poor Piya. She was happily celebrating T's birthday and admiring the KaT love but was she? Her eyes kept darting back to Abhay who was not even near her and standing at a distance. She had no idea why she was looking at him . Maybe she didn't even consciously know that she was looking at him. So visibly was Abhay written all over her face that even Jay could read it. He tried to give her pep talk, did his best to make her smile , even asked her for a dance telling her that Abhay was history but no. Piya's face refused to curve up to a smile. But the warm sunshine that Jay is in Piya's life right now, she tried to give happiness a chance . She took Jay's hand and went up to the dance floor with him. Why shouldn't she? She has every right to be happy. But what has the heart ever understood of the 'should be' or 'could be '. It just wants the 'has to be'. The second Abhay came on the floor with a giggly amused Misha , Piya's heart threw away the lollipops and the distracting firecrackers and leaving Piya, lurched to Abhay . And as soon as her heart lurched to the 'jerk', 'loser'. 'idiot' Abhay . Piya's face fell . Looking over Jay's shoulder and across Misha in Abhay's arms, Piya danced a smiling lifeless dance . Jay knew he had a beautiful doll dancing in his arms. Doll she was , because her heart had lurched to Abhay. And how can Jay not know? More than Piya, its Jay who knows the power of Piya's feelings for Abhay. How else do you think he read Piya's Abhayized face when she didn't even say anything?
And Abhay! Misha triggered what Abhay is trying so hard to fight , suppress and maybe even kill. Her questions, her teasing , her cross examination was not meant to hurt Abhay. She did all this because she just wanted to know what Abhay's feelings and intentions are regarding Piya. But she ended up poking her finger at his sore spot. He suddenly became vulnerable , sensitive and helpless. With that every excuse and defensive sarcastic answer Abhay gave Misha, he felt weaker and weaker inside. He couldn't fight Piya's gaze and he just had to look back at her. How couldn't he? He may have decided to leave her but how can he not look back when her heart calls him and his cold heart wants to melt all over again? Abhay , forget his tough exterior , was emotionally disturbed today and for once , he knew he was not in control. He didn't ask for Misha's hand in dance just because he wanted to give a spine to his lies about having moved on from Piya. He did it because he wanted to channelize the temper , the envious pinch , the frustration he felt about not being in a situation he can control. If you look at it, Abhay' rather aggressive dance with Misha was not to show Piya that look, I have a hot chick in my arms. It was more of a loud and clear try to convince himself that Jay and Piya don't affect him. It was a childish but pitiable translation of an emotional weakness into high-nosed anger. Abhay was not trying to make Piya jealous , he was not trying to say anything to Piya . He was just desperately trying to prove a point to himself because Piya's eyes and Misha's volley of questions had disarmed him.
It is rather tough to put Abhay-Piya's disturbed emotions in to words today. There was too much going on between them today and you know the magic? The soulmates didn't even exchange a single word and yet the pull between them was so strong that even JIsha could feel the heated tension. The last frame is so powerful with Piya trying to move on but her heart still hanging on to Abhay's neck like a bratty little kid and refusing to come back to her even if she holds it at a gun point. And Abhay? Hypnotized by her gaze and standing like a mesmerized prince under the spell of the magical witch. So deep, intense and powerful was that eyelock that rather than making Jay angry or upset , it seemed to have touched or maybe unsettled him. I liked Jay's reaction to the eyelock. He felt its effect even though it was between Abhay-Piya.
Its amusing , isn't it? Jay tried so hard to cheer up Piya, make her smile,make her laugh , show her the future ahead but Piya's eyes just wouldn't leave Abhay. They couldn't. Abhay was always Piya's favourite sight and even when she had forgotten him, she would see him in her dreams. And now, when he is right here in front of her eyes , how can she stop looking at him or stop her heart from skipping a beat?
Misha tried her best to break Abhay and that too without getting aggressive or insulting . She smiled, she threatened , she riddled but Abhay didn't crack. But little does Misha know what she unleashed in him for sometime. It didn't seem like she hates Abhay at all today. She just wanted a straight answer which Abhay never gave. And that is what will lead to a twisted plan.
The dream sequence? Oh, it's a common dream that Abhay-Piya have always woven. Magical and tragic at the same time.
The best part? Abhay-Piya didn't exchange a single word today and yet they were magic.
P.S- I am glad to have Dan back. He has remained loyal to Raichands and seems to have turned over a new leaf. Good. Raichands trust him and he is keeping that trust. Aur haan, ab Dipannita bach sakti hai to bach jaaye. Haseena Raichand is on the prowl- BEWARE. As for the precap, I wish Kabir had shut T's mouth with a kiss! Poor poor Piya. I mean, just look at Misha and Abhay! All the cootchie cooing and coy romance. Piya ka heart fail ho gaya to? And by Tuesday, the whole Mount College will know, thanks to T , that Abhay and Misha are dating each-other. Misha! Kahaan kahaan se laati ho aise plans ki saamne waala ko chakkar hi aa jaaye!
