For love there needs to be attraction IMHO. I wouldn't spend the rest of my life with a nice, sweet guy if he looked scary and BAD! No ways!

I feel love is about loving a person with their good and bad habits. Of course that doesn't mean murderers, rapists & terrorists.

For me, love is-

This is how it was ;)
We sometimes encounter people,
even perfect strangers,
who begin to interest us at first sight,
somehow suddenly, all at once,
before a word has been spoken.

Just because you know someone doesn't mean you love them,
and just because you don't know people doesn't mean you can't
love them. You can fall in love with a complete stranger in a
heartbeat, if God planned that route for you. So open your heart
to strangers more often. You never know when God will throw
...that pass at you.

same here. i've seen people going on about how they're so 'deeply' in love and then they break up a month after. 😳 i don't believe in the whole staying with one person for your life thing, either. that's not humanly possible. you'll get bored of the monotonous-ness, and give up - happens.

Kankz - I don't even know what love is...mostly its the idea I got from dramas, movies and stories. If we take example of folk tales...well it was basically tragedy but THAT was Ishq. The highest kind. Too bad the English language doesn't have a specific word for it

If we get descriptive, this is more an idea of romance than the idea of love. Love is multifaceted. And it is likely, you wouldn't get drawn to an ugly guy in the very first place. You won't befriend him, you won't fall in love.

Friendship is voluntary and it lays the foundation for love, I think. Hence, love is voluntary too, heuristic. 🤓

nidheya, agreed..to a certain point. attraction is necessary. looks count - okay, you can't stay with a blonde bimbo for your life who only looks good but is dumb as hell - but you won't spend your life with a ugly girl, either. that's just how it goes. 😳 looks do count for a part of it - not all of it, but major.

Mais, I was really awed by your story. I have never read a story where someone merged nature and characters so flawlessly, hence my comment :)

Kanky, your writing reminds me the classics and all. Your usage of the language throws me off. You have so much of talent. I'll kill you if you become an engineer or doctor as opposed to a writer!
