Hey there,

Okay, first things first . Abhay-Piya looked DREAMY. Danced like a fairytale and like Ruhi, Angad and the whole college said - they looked meant to be. Beautiful forever. Lucky in love? Who knows.

But this post is not about Abhay-Piya ( Hemu covers them best and am sure she will come up with a post) ...it is about Kabir. Kabir , who was given his due after a looong time.

Kabir loves Piya and hates Abhay. He has always hated Abhay for various reasons. But he has always known that Piya loves Abhay. He has seen the depth and intensity of her feelings for him. He has been a witness to Abhay's support and care for Piya , his fierce defence of Piya. Yes, the snobbish , arrogant , sometimes petty , sometimes nice and sometimes 'just human' - Kabir has never denied the depth and the bond that Abhay-Piya have. But lets admit it , he has never been able to deal with it . He has tried, But he has failed. Its hard for him to accept that the girl he loves madly was never his and will always belong where her heart and soul belongs.

Today , the creatives slightly turned Kabir's mind and his heart. Maybe they wanted to either redeem Kabir from all the crap that he is going through and putting the audience through. Or maybe they wanted to convey that there is a limit to denial , there is a limit to venom in basically good people. And there is a limit to which you can stubbornly hold on to something that is just not there.

Kabir gave a vent to what his heart has been telling him all along. And i think he summed up Abhay-Piya pretty well in his few dialogues .

" It doesn't matter how much I love her, Piya loves me as a friend and i don't want to lose that by becoming a hurdle for her and Abhay. I have seen it . I have known it . She really cares about Abhay . And Abhay , well, i hate him but i cannot deny that he loves Piya . Loves her with all his heart. Maybe , they are not together today but that doesn't mean Piya will come running to me. They love each-other and that's that. If they are meant to be together , i am not going to be a villain. I am the hero and i just cannot be the bad guy. "

It takes courage to stop being 'mortal' and go out and do something extraordinary that you know is going to kill you inside. Writers of PKYEK rarely pay attention to 'character graph' and i won't be surprised if they send Kabir down the drain again , but today , he took a leap as an individual and told his detractors that he is many things - immature , thick-headed , arrogant , egoistic, impulsive , judgmental . But even if you have devil's horns, sometimes the angel wings do show up. And Kabir has never been 'bad'. He has always been 'stubborn and lost'. Maybe its changing.

I know the writers are not even going to think in that direction but i would rather have Kabir give his heart a chance again and be the Kabir we saw on day 1 of PKYEK. He deserves someone who makes him happy , helps him work on the best in him and above all... gives him her 100%.

P.S- Chaand has always been right about everyone and everything since day 1. His intuitions , his character judgment has never been wrong. And his firm belief that Piya will let them down is jittery. Are the creatives indicating something?

Now, I'd get you my two cents. And woman, you're lucky, I am not venomous today so I won't force you into thinking if I'll ever mend my ways.

Uh, oh - Kabir and I! He acts on me really bad sometimes. He's gotten this thick sheen of delusion layered up on his head, his heart - all that shit but today he quite looked beyond that. VG's not an extraordinary actor, but it seems like Kabir is a character that has been exclusively written for him, which is why he brings out the best from the character, from every dull and hopeless niche that gives him a chance now, that is. Kabir's decay has been perennially a bothersome issue, but now I feel he's gonna be just fine.

I like him. The thing is, the writers play with Kabir like some doll or whatever, clay they can mold according to the script's requirement or with respect to his counterpart, Abhay. It sucks how even the viewers think that if a character hates/dislikes/is upset with the leads, they are negative or they need to be bashed. They are not unimportant, and true - I dun think the creative team thinks with respect to the dimension you just highlighted.

Kabir's a mess still. I hope he continues not wanting to be a bad guy, though.

Kabir- only two words sad for him and he is my hero .O well here comes the new moon track. Piya will def do something unknowingly, and it will cause the Raichands family to shift. I think Chaand is right. maybe , sid will do something to cause Piya harm and in the end might end of up revealing something . there we go we have the insane piya like bells. She is gonna go insane, and will try to take her own life. I c it coming poco. something major is about to happen. get ready for another, high voltage drama. as usual amazing post. I can c piya trying to jump off the clip right now. 😒. I don't know, I have this feeling Piya will end up getting hurt by sid .Then she will end in a hospital, and they will test her blood.causing Raichands to leave the town once again. w do u think poco?I am a emotional person, and i can't see the piya when she goes haywire. But, I feel kabir and misha are gonna be her biggest supporters during this trauma. Piya will def form a strong bond with Kabir.I loved the Kabir today. He accepted the truth. Anyway, Piya will be soon singing A year with out Rain by selena gomez. 😆.

Kabir really was the hero today as trangad said. He accepted the fact that abhay loves Piya also and I think cvs changed his char as they want to show abhay leaving piya just like edward and then kabir will be Piya's support just like jacob. In film it's alright but in 6 days they will show a month longer separation which I cant tolerate. I am very emotional person unlike u who thinks logically. When it comes to heart all my logic fails and today my heart is paining after watching the promo. May be I gonna stop watching the show for the days when the separation will be shown and will be back when abhiya will be together.

what can I say he is great lover and believe it or not non else is ever gonna truly love Pia like he does.

just hope someone truly worthy of his love come along someday soon to fix his broken heart and make him happy like non else could.

Lolz. I should stop worrying whether you are going to mend your ways or not. If they have to change , they will change in their own time. 😳

Yupp. Kabir is a badly written character who gets butchered mostly but when Kbair has his moments , Vishal brings out the best in him and we wish that the creatives do justice to him.

True that. Kabir is used as per the convenience of the creatives and the demand of the storyline. He has no individual root and that is why the audience is not able to decide what to think about him on a permanent level.

Like you, I can't see abhiya sep for long. But, new moon or separation is coming sooner or later. Don't worry Piya will end up doing something stupid, and abhay will def come running after her.
