Update 4

Piya plugged in her earphone and listened to Enrique's song while preparing her set-up. She zipped open the bag she carried and took out the battery-operated spotlights and arranged them in such a way that it would look like the room was on fire. She smiled when she remembered how she had 'kind of borrowed' them from the drama club.

She even switched on the smoke machine to complete the effect.

Her bag's load was now gone. Just the parachute from her old base jumping days remained in it. She took it out and strapped it on. It was just then that the thing which she suspected happened. She heard the most wanted shout of her life.

"PIYAAA…." screamed Abhay as his life depended on it somewhere very near the room.

"Help Abhay" she screamed the well rehearsed response and dived straight in the cliff through the hole in the wall.

She heard the band of breaking red sandstone behind as Abhay took the shortest way possible creating yet another hole in the wall of that room. He dived straight behind Piya. Piya who was just going to open the chute suddenly felt strong arms wrapping round her. Abhay lifted Piya a little and landed on the cliff floor……..upright.

"Thank God…Piya, You are safe" He told relieved, but even without panting ;as he let her go. "what is this?" he asked as he felt something smooth in her hand.. "Ohh… shit a parachute..and the spotlights up…. So this was set up."

" yeah Abhay…. It was and, now , my point is clear . You are not a human. So what are you?" asked Piya looking a little shocked though she was mentally prepared for this. The blue-eyed man himself looked confused but yet was very perfect with his expression.

" now Piya, I'm really, really angry but your childish attempts to know the truth make me laugh. Look hundreds of firemen are coming to protect the national monument only to find spotlights and smoke-machine. I hope atleast that you have removed the Mount college tag from them." He replied smiling as pointed above to the road near the cliff leading to the palace. Many yellow and red lights showed themselves from this height.

"Yes, I'd removed them but tell me first without changing the topic, what you are" demanded Piya.

Abhay left Piya and ran off with super-speed but was back in three to four seconds and made haystacks for both of them to sit on. But Piya could barely sit seeing his show of strength.

"I know Piya you must have some idea about what I am. Can you tell me that?" asked Abhay for the first time smiling when talking to Piya.

"I…..I…don't know. It's very childish."

"It's okay. Let's hear the childish talk."

"I think you are some superhero or alien like Spider-man; no not him, Superman or He-man."

"Is this it Piya? You have only this. I expected something better. What if I am the bad guy?"

"Well… I have somethinf for that too Abhay. I actually searched the net for man with changing eye colour, super speed, strength, and they all just pointed towards one thing…um…vampire… and it looks very defining for you."

"Oh Piya…I do not want to accept that but yes you are right. I am a Vampire."

"OK."

"Just ok? Aren't you going to run away or something? I am gonna drink your blood."

"You won't Abhay, I know. I am not afraid. You could have drunk my blood many times we met before. So, I am not afraid. I am perfectly okay. For me, it's just that you are different and this difference will remain with me only and nobody else will come to know of it. So, now I can be hurting you, will you tell me about Maithili?"

"I am already hurt Piya though I don't have a heart but yes, I will tell you about Maithili."

And he started…."There was a boy named Abayanand."

"Ok stop stop stop." interrupted Piya. "I don't want story of any boy; where's a young adult and Maithili?"

"Oh Piya so you want a story of two young adults and romance." winked Abhay. "Damn you Piya, by boy I mean that only and Abayanand ia me."

"Abhayanand????" she said surprised. <Even more surprisingly,she was not surprised by the fact that Abhay was a vampire but she was surprised by his name!! OK sorry….no interruption, I'll return back to the story, I know you don't like me here…;)>She continued, "So, why were you a puppy-faced lover? You must have been some saint in an ashram in the jungles!! :p Oh I see, why have you taken a residence in this forest. After all these years you realized that you should have been a saint not a lover."

"Shall I leave?" Abhay showed fake anger.

"No sorry. Imagine I've locked my mouth. Pray continue."

"Abhayanand worked in the stables of the princess's palace. One day he was appointed to ready her horse so that she could visit the city. But when they met, they felt like there was a bond between them and they fell in love immediately."

"Sure this Maithili must be a characterless cheapskate. I mean a princess and a cleaner of horse poo in stables!! She must have fell in love with servants, floor-cleaners, and workmen hundreds of times before she met Abhayanand," remarked Piya.

"Will you stop interrupting me or your face will be in horse poo the next moment you say anything about Maithili."

"Oh shut up you stupid, the cheapskate did the sin of identical-ing her face with me, not you or you would have felt the same."

"I am going."

"Sorry, sorry…. Pray continue."

"The king didn't like their relationship and told them to break-up but the bond between them was too strong to break."

"He must have wanted some prince to marry her. I've heard that crap so many times before. Thank God! The princes were saved from her. But if the king was so desperate, why didn't he pay some prince to clean up the poo for a day or two."

"Again……"warned Abhay.

"Sorry, I just can't take in the dumbness of this story. Anyways, pray continue."

"So, he dumped Abhayanand in the prison as the story of their unconditional love had spread through the kingdom. He also locked the princess in the room and set it on fire. But Abhayanand escaped from the prison to save her but when he reached there an explosion blew of Maithili who struck the wall and collapsed down the cliff followed by Abhayanand."

"So Maithili was so fatso that when she collided with the wall it broke off. And the main problem in the story is tht how did Abhayanand escape? I mean did all the guards sleep off and all prison gates open like in Krishna's birth story? If it was like that, Abhayanand must have been a good worshipper of Krishna Ji."

"Darn you Piya. I escaped somehow; I don't remember minor human memories."
