And you wish that Maithli comes running back...........
When you see today's episode, there is just one thought and one wish that is going to run in your head. You'll wish that no matter where Maithli is , no matter whether she is dead or alive , no matter whether it is possible or not- she should just come running across the sands of time , the barriers of life and death . Come running back to Abhay , throw her arms around him, engulf him in a hug and put an end to not only his wait of 200 years , but also stop his non-existent heart from bleeding.
Yes, today, Abhay needed Maithli more than he has ever needed her in that every single day and night that he has lived without her. Because today , the girl or rather the reflection of Maithli , that girl not only rejected him , deleted him out of her life, but also stamped him with disgust , loathing and hatred. She sent Abhay back into the shadows even though she promised light and sunshine to him. Her mortal fallacies won over the love that she had sworn by – the fallible human being inside her defeated the woman irrevocably in love. Piya FAILED. She failed the promise that she was , she failed the love that she professed , proclaimed. She failed the test of fire and above all she failed Abhay. Today , she tells you that it is easy to fall for somebody's fair skin and charms but it takes the heart and spirit of an angel to redeem a demon.
When you see Piya cower and feel terrorized by Abhay , when you see her call Abhay all sorts of monstrous names, when you see her regret every single moment of physical and emotional proximity that she had with Abhay , when you see her stand under a shower and try to wash off Abhay's feel and touch off her body , when you see her talk to Misha about Abhay with such disgust and hatred – well, you don't want to see her anymore, even if you understand her situation. You just want to pick up Maithli from the pages of history and put her in Abhay's arms. Why? Because Maithli has always been with him – wherever she is , she has seen and known what her Abhayendra has suffered . She would never call him a monster – she would never recoil from him in disgust. Because Maithli knows what Abhay has suffered all along – all in the name of love.
You know, everytime that Piya abused and rejected Abhay today , I was only thinking of Maithli who embraced death but refused to embrace a life without Abhayendra. Strange. Identical faces but such difference of courage and spirit.
There is nothing much to say about Abhay. Nothing new. His destiny is endless eternal suffering –and it continues. He somewhere knew the outcome of Piya finding out his truth and he has borne it. The initial pain and humiliation over , he has reconciled himself to the reality and he is finding comfort in the dark. He just wants to be left alone and I am sure he will deal with it. He can. If he has nursed a wounded heart for 200 years , he can fix this 20 minute heartbreak as well. Showing Abhay weak and finished will be against his character. Abhay can be sad , he can be depressed – but he can never go down. He can handle this and he will.
In a way , I was glad when I saw him walk back to Chaand and Haseena's hold. You know why? Because at least they call him ' Hamaara Abhay' and they will never look at him with those eyes of disgust. No matter how functional or symbiotic the Abhay-ChaandEena relationship is- IT IS REAL.
As for Piya. Well, she is only human and finally, she knows the difference between watching a NAT GEO footage of a handsome lion and going under his jaws for real. Piya is reacting as any human being would. I mean, I love Stefan and Damon but I won't be gyrating with them if they unleashed their fangs on me. Piya needs time – she needs to fight this battle between her heart and her mortal fears. In TVD, no matter how flipped Elena was on finding out that Stefan was a vampire – ultimately, she lost the battle against her heart and went running back into his arms. The same test is for Piya.
So, my dear darling Piya, unless you fight your fears- unless you prove yourself to be the woman you have claimed to be – unless you prove the love that you've been eating Abhay's and audience's ears with – WOMAN! You are so never gonna be even a 1000meters close to what Maithli was. Forget matching the greatness of that epic love which the braveheart princess had for Abhay.
I know , eventually Piya will come around and go running back to Abhay. But till the day I truly see the strength and power of Piya's love for Abhay , for me , it's Maithli who will be Abhay's soulmate.
And as harsh as I may sound. Scribbling Abhay's name on a wooden desk is one thing and etching Abhayendra's name in fire is another. Get the point?
I am sorry but throughout today's episode, I wished that I can see Metz instead of Piya. Because Abhay needed Maithli more than ever today.
P.S- I have this urge of making Piya suffer a little more in my FF. Not because I am holding Piya responsible for anything – her fears got the better of her. It's just that I want her to know what it feels like to be in Abhay and Maithli's shoes.
