and if he was jacob... then that would make pia and him half brother-sister... and thus jacob could not fall for her...

he is misha's brother...they put him in the photo just in case they will need a new character to make a new twist or something....meaning, he will only enter if the need probably. At least, this way a new brother will not turn up out of the blue...he was in the family photos;)
