If its for Kaddu that Mohan tells R to take back the case, it will make sense. It would've been senseless if it was D who is arrested and Mohan is hurting himself to take back the case.

Btw... her statement that D poisoned it before passing out should've been enough to get D arrested - but perhaps only if Shekhar was there... lawyer or police will know that can be taken as a death confession. Can forgive M and rest of family for not knowing this - may not be common knowledge.

Also don't know if they can arrest anyone without taking her statement. They can have a list of suspects but not sure if they can arrest anyone. But may be the phone call would be enough.

Arrest someone based on 1 anonymous phonecall is weird too. But police has past records for Trivedis-more than once Gungun or R were in danger in the house or better said because they're related to someone in the house.

Step confession that she prepared the dish is enough to put her on suspects list.

This is same lady inspector whom R complained against M & family as if they are her abusers on wedding night,😛 R claimed to same police that her husband is M who after luring her in the name of love took phera's with her, then exploited, abandoned, thrown her out of house & is now illegally marrying dusri aurat D. 😲

So this lady inspector is witness to the force marriage & court custody case. She knows Trivedi family didn't accept R. 😳So when she gets a call that within few days of marriage R took poison & admitted in hospital, guess without even preliminary investigation inspector is jumping to conclusion that sasural wale harassed R, hence she took poison to commit suicide.

Kadambari openly claiming that she prepared kheer which R has consumed, is basically to wipe out another wife suicide case threat on M's head?

Anyhow we know upcoming spoiler, after getting conscious R will give statement against D which saves step mom. But whether in arresting Kadambari or next Damini police is not doing proper investigation to file FIR with some proofs against suspect person, before issuing arrest warrant.

If only real life would work that way - get the ones we dont like arrested and people forget about the things we dont want to visit... the bus bomb was a crime of big proportions and conveniently forgotten by police, school, parents... yeah the guy claimed he is mad and also ran away. I'd assume even the govt would've taken up the case irl.

Only in ITV such big incidents get lost and the culprit goes scot free.
