Actor playing Mohan's father might have complained pls give me atleast few dialogues, I'm just standing or sitting as mute spectator in hall & backyard dramas doing nothing in the show despite being male leads father and Kadambari's husband. So writers / direcors might have taken mercy on him, he was permitted to open his mouth.😃

My take.

There's backstory for Mohan-Tulsi, Tulsi's murder, Trivedi family issues, Kadambari's plannings, Damini's plottings, Gungun's growing years from toddler, Tulsi's family hatred against Mohan, his prolonged fight in courts etc. But feel script isn't fully ready to adapt to RM version as they changed Mohan's character from original a little and introduced Gungun immediately with conflict, unlike parent & remake versions of the show. Otherwise its open and predictable flat back story with Kadambari & Damini as villain and vamps which Tulsi wanted to expose when alive.

It looks like as soon as Shabir agreed and signed, when Zee approved and gave launch date, producer immediately jumped in and started shooting in March itself.😕 So focus is to force Radha into Trivedi family and run present story to establish her as female lead, showcase her POV of story with love, devotion, good nature, innocence, Gita preaching's; create some dramatic situations to fill up episodes with ghost and Damini fights parallel with Gungun's mischief, Mohan's hurt and loneliness, while script work is still going on. 😛 Guess Mohan was initially planned as rich non nonsense tough business man in present times, so promo & photo shoots with Shabir were done in business suits. Even that's changed now, as Mohan doesn't go to office or press as Kadambari & Damini manage business on his absence.

Also to show proper flashback scenes of Mohan and Gungun in past when they had good bond, makers need to hire one toddler and one 3-4 years aged child actor to shoot those scenes with Shabir as they can't use Reeza actor. So it may take some time.

Now some Maths numbers to avoid confusions.😆

We as viewers need to assume 8 years back Mohan married Tulsi and its love marriage, Gungun is 7 years old now, and court case is 5+ years.

And Damini had been one sided lover of Mohan from her college days which is 12 years now. Radha had one sided childhood crush on Mohan since 14 years as a 6 years old baby.😲

Came to know that Radha in the OG Tamil one did have a proper backstory - a relative of the family, was known to Mohan and Tulsi and was in good terms with them and the rest of the family, moved in after the death of her immediate family members. That by itself makes her character and her presence in that house more 'acceptable'. It was fine if the makers needed to have her admire Mohan (plus that Gita bg) but that could've been the additional aspects to her and not standalone characteristics.

In a way i dont mind if she remains there until the end of the show but let that love be one sided - stay true to the title... Radha who loves Mohan but never gets married to him.

Your POV seems likely and reasonable seeing how certain aspects are not corelating

Will Mohan love her back, we can see him softening to her character now even though he feels she is one big nuisance and the main fact is he wants to get close to Gungun and Radha's care for Gungun seems genuine to him, so his stone heart might soften leading to true love

Producer said already few times, they purposely gave devotional & mythological touch to shows title, and main leads names to get instant connect with audiences and added UP Barsana, Brij, Brindavan as backgrounds, to give local flavor too. 🥱

May be reason they instead wanted to show Radha as some acquaintance Panditji's beti who's just 20 years young, devotional and ONLY attached to her Gita & Mohanji, instead of showing her as Mohan's relative. As story set in UP background they might have assumed it may not work well to develop Radha's love story as a relative of Mohan? Also original Radha was uneducated, childish, bubbly relative not devotional bhakthi channel lady.😆

Also if not for Shabir, with any other male lead actor playing Mohan's role like Ankit for e.g. don't think they could have shown 14-15 years age gap between Radha and Mohan.😛Since it looks like Neeharika, Keerti and Sambhabhana were already selected as three females against Mohan by the time Shabir signed.

Above quick fix changes from original and also remake versions worked ANTI rather than PRO for Radha's character, in my POV.

As of now I can only hope it doesn't happen.

But I do have to refer back to kkb here. I started watching it only in late 2020 and didn't actually like quite a lot of things going on in the first track (well... same here). I also didn't like that it was Pragya who fell in love first.

What made me continue all the time were the moments that were shown between Abhigya despite what I felt about the story and what else is going on. And credit there goes to Tisha as actors (and og cast members) to make those scenes really good - even the parts that I didn't like. [Well... writers too - for I do find that it was one of the most well written tracks in kkb.]

A big difference there was both Shabir and Sriti were experienced actors and their scenes were believable and Pragya and Abhi were strong characters individually even if we forget about the actors. There were quite a few times where I have felt 'I really dont like what I just saw but wow wasn't that good - they did that scene really well'.

Can I expect a similar phase here? idk... i do doubt something similar can happen where we do actually enjoy Radha's presence around Mohan. That scene by the car in the last episode - it might as well have been Mohan talking to himself in his room. Radha didnt add anything to it. [And i actually wished Pragya/Sriti was the one sitting besides him listening to his monologue. That would've added quite a lot to what's already a good scene with him talking about things.]

P.S: As of now its Mohan and Gungun thats making me continue watching the show. Also interested in seeing Mohan Tulsi flashbacks and backstory if they go there. (Hope they do it soon)

Well... whatever they did, didn't work for Radha - like you mentioned worked anti instead of pro.

Its understandable that they had to make quite a lot of changes because Shabir signed up... and they did parts of it quite well. Mohan and Gungun are really good characters. It also makes sense that since they changed M and G so much from the og, they have to take time to figure out the backstory. Its only in today's episode we know some bits of backstory of MG. Chances are they may goof up in certain places.. which ig is fine, so long as its not really big ones.

I also like the changes they made to the ghost - whether or not the character is required is a different matter, but at least her presence is pleasant. They didnt make her ott, even if she isn't shown doing much. Would like her intervening more, but ig she will be shown doing things only when things go out of hand.
