I know, Anu! Today's PraSha scene was simply amazing. Shashank's dialogues were really good. It was direct and thus gave a clear message. I am really impressed by the creatives that they managed to keep Shashank's basic nature intact. Unlike other heroes he didn't go on about some 'diya-bati, paani-boond, sheesha-dil, etc etc'. His dialogues were very close to what a normal and regular person would have said in that situation.
The dialogues that you pointed out are some of my favourites. A great acting by Vivan made those dialogues come to life. It wouldn't have been as touching if not for Vivan's expression and voice modulation. What Shashank said was rational and also emotional. Usually, I would hate this sort of sacrificing antic. But those few lines and Shashank's "let-me-take-the-fall-coz-I-love-you" expression managed to melt my heart rather than flare up with anger. I still don't support what he is doing, but somehow I can empathize with him.
The entire scene was tremendous. Whatever Shashank said, each and every line, made me love his character more. He pointed out to her the obvious stupidity that she is doing. He tried to reason with her. He even told her that her choice is not just limited between the two of them. Leaving Prashant won't mean that Shashank is the only and the right guy for her. Seriously, who won't fall for a guy who is this understanding? And then he went even as far to sacrifice his happiness for her. I LURVVVED every single bit of the scene.
Frankly, I liked all those scenes where Shashank had dialogues😆. I really don't care about the brother-sister story, even though that is the main plot. But during that Milind-Araina v/s Prateeksha-Aziz scene, Shashank's way of calming down the tiff and later his exasperation at the lameness of the fight made me feel as though I was watching the light-hearted Shashank again. Even his phone convo with Prashant was good to watch. While that not-even-two-rupees-worth Prashant called him up like a begger, Shashank's obvious annoyance and irritation was amusing.
Finally, even I am delighted...yes, practically delighted, to watch Shashank taking a step back. This is not the first time someone is prepared to sacrifice his happiness for his love, yet it seemed so unusual and different. For the first time I didn't roll my eyes or scowl watching a hero's sacrificing mode. Shashank just pulled it off with such simpliciy, sincerity and realism, that one is bound to go 'awww'. His sentiments were so genuine and his motive was so pure that even I could not say "puhlease....this only happens in hindi soaps". When he talked, I just felt like listening coz he knew what he was saying and he didn't leave a loophole for me to question or laugh at his proposition.
However, I did find something really funny. The particular bit with KHNH song, were the line goes 'iss haath ko, tum tham lo' (i guess), Shashank randomly extending his hand at that time just to match the situation with the line was 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I won't ruin the moment with my further comments on just that bit, so moving on.........
I don't know what Ekta is going to do in future with this character, but for this scene, Shashank is gonna be one of my favourite male leads from hindi soaps😳
EDIT: I know I talked about the dialogues in general, but I freakin loved the dialogue where Shashank looks at Prateeksha with a "you have no idea how great you are" expression and says that she should be with someone who truly loves her and APPRECIATES her. At last a hero is talking about appreciation and not just love or beauty👏. I think there are other detailes still left which I am forgetting to mention now, so will discuss them in the CC😆
