Chapter 9
"He is your father, Rajan Malhotra." Gayatri tears blurred her vision when she took Rajan name again after so many years. Yash tighten his fist hates the man who was the reason of his mother pain.
Flashback...
Italy...
Mr. & Mrs. Bisht wedding anniversary party..
"Congratulations to both of you!!" Gayatri give a flower bouquet to Mr. & Mrs. Bisht.
"Thanks Gayatri!!" Mr.Krish Bisht thanked Gayatri with a gentle smile, Mrs.Niti Bisht hug Gayatri smiling sweetly at her.
"Where is Rajan ?" Krish ask seeing Gayatri alone.
"He is there only." She looked behind where she saw her husband Rajan with their kids.
"Aunty." 7 years old Yash and Shravan run to Niti with a big smile on their innocent faces.
"Hey cuties." Niti bended down on knee to hug both of them, Shravan Yash both hugged her tightly.
"You looks so gorgeous!!" Shravan cutely kissed her cheek.
"Oh thanks handsome." She pick his cheek.
"Why are you silent Yash?" Niti looked at Yash who was smiling at her and his brother.
"I brought something for you." Yash pulled out a small gift box behind his back.
"Wow!!" She surprised to see a glass flower inside the box.
"Thank you very much sweetheart!!" She kissed his both cheeks. Gayatri feel happy after so many days seeing her kids happy with niti.
"My champs ignoring me and brought nothing for me, I'm so sad!!" Krish made a sad face.
"Krish you are a big man, how can you expect us kids to bring something for you ?" Shravan reply left Krish in shock.
"Too good." Niti laugh seeing Krish shocked face.
"Don't be sad Krish." Yash console him like a big man.
"Champ you are only my true friend, oh I feel so emotional." Krish pushed his fake tears away, All laugh seeing Krish drama.
"Congratulations bro." Rajan hugged Krish when Yash and Shravan run to their friends.
"Come Gayatri, I introduced you to my friends." Niti moved away with Gayatri to her friends.
"Niti." Niti heard her friends calling.
"I just come." She said before leaving Gayatri there.
"Gayatri." She turn back to find her school friend Suraj there.
"Oh my god Suraj you." She feel so happy seeing him after many years.
"How are you ya." Suraj smile at her.
"Mom." They both heard Shravan and Yash voice.
"Your kids ?" Suraj ask looking down at both the boys.
"Yes he is Yash and he is Shravan." She pulled both close, they hold her hands, waiting for their mother to introduced them to man in front of them.
"Hi I'm Suraj your mom's school friend." Suraj bend down to their level.
"School friends." Yash ask turned to Shravan.
"Really! You and mom too went to school like me and Yash." Shravan ask childish excitement.
"Yes." Suraj smile at their innocence.
"Hey Yash Shravan come Vicky asking about you two." Vivian cell them from a little away.
"Vicky's sister Amelia is also there." Shravan told to Yash and he blushed at the mere mention of Amelia.
"You likes her ?" Suraj ask amazed. Yash hide his face behind palm shying.
"Aww you are so adorable!!" Suraj pull Yash cheek softly, Gayatri smile at her son.

After a half hour..
"Dad I'm feeling sleepy." Told Shravan coming to Rajan.
"Let's go." He picked up a sleepy Shravan in his arms and Yash followed him behind.
"But mom." Yash ask looking for Gayatri.
"We will coming in some time, You both go home with driver and like good boys sleep in your room." Rajan kissed both their foreheads.
"Take them home and tell mom we will reach after some time." Rajan order his driver.

"How you know Krish ?" Gayatri ask in last when they remember their school days.
"Krish's father and my father both are friends so his father invited us but all are busy so papa ask me to come here." Suraj told.
"You live here ?" She ask sit on the chair that Suraj pulled for her.
"Yeah I'm working here but maa papa asking me to return back to Dubai so now I'm thinking to returning back." He told.
"They must be missing you." She takes two Orange juice glasses from passing waiter. Suraj nodded yes.
"You married so soon, don't you think ?" Suraj say taking a glass from her.
"Hmm actually in college Rajan was my senior and don't know when I fall in love with him but I think that was my life biggest mistake." Gayatri murmur the last line.
"Oh where is he ? I would like to meet him." Suraj ask.
"Leave him, you tell about yourself." She smile faintly, don't want Rajan to meet Suraj.
"Oh I'm single and ready to mingle." Suraj laugh at his own joke.
"You are still the same funny Suraj, you know." Gayatri laugh with him.
"But you changed so much from naughty & innocent Gayatri to serious and somewhat silent Gayatri but why ?" Suraj feel the change in her.
"Something unexpected happen." She told with lost face.
"Let's go." Rajan pulled her up from chair, her juice glass fell on the Green grass as he almost drag Gayatri in front of Suraj.
"Hey stop who are you ?" Suraj try to stop Rajan but he angrily pushed him.
"I'm her husband." Suraj look at Gayatri in shock hearing Rajan.
"This is not the way to behave with your wife." Suraj said in concern for her.
"Oh really so now you are going to teach me how to behave with my own wife." Rajan furious at Suraj and about to fight with him but Gayatri hold Rajan seeing how some people around them watching three of them.
"Please leave him and Suraj let him do whatever he want to do." she say, don't want him to create a scene here. Suraj stare Gayatri feel pity, not understanding why she is bearing abuses and on the first place why she is even living with a man like Rajan.
Parking lot...
"From how many days this affair going on ?" Rajan ask holding her hair in fist.
"Please believe me its nothing short of what you are thinking." She cry in pain as he tighten his fist in anger.
"Don't lie, I'm not fool." He slammed her to car behind them and twist her arm behind her back.
"You are hurting me." She shout in pain.
"Why can't you believe me for ones." She ask, hating her life, why she always need to give him explanation of everything.
Malhotra mansion..
Savitri Malhotra Rajan's mother saw Rajan dragging Gayatri to their room.
"I was wrong in thinking that he will love her if I married Gayatri to him but no that was my mistake." She thought regrets marrying Gayatri to him, for spoiling her life.
"Leave her Rajan." Savitri shout at him.
"Don't interfere." He stop to answer her back.
"Do you even know your behavior is worst then animal." She disgust to even think he is her son.
"Oh please stop it mom, you don't know your loving daughter in law were romancing with her lover in Krish and Niti party." Rajan told but Savitri doesn't believe him.
"No mom believe me, Suraj is my friend, we were just talking believe me please." Gayatri cry trying hard to comes out of Rajan tight hold.
"I believe beta and I'm aware of my son's cheap thinking, he lost his mind completely." Savitri not surprised with Rajan accuses and his sick mentality.
"I'm saying last time leave Gayatri." She said again.
"I will not, she is my wife and I know how to handle her." Rajan said before again dragged Gayatri to their room when she didn't even fight back just let him drag herself, know now this her life nothing and no one can change.
"Rajan listen to me." Savitri try to stop him but he close door on her face.
Next morning..
"Gayatri you have to punish him. I feel shame to even call him my son, I should file a case against Rajan but just because of you I stopped myself. " Savitri say seeing Gayatri pale face and red cheeks, fingers mark on her white arms and wrists. She know this is not just beating marks but Rajan actually raped her.
"Are you listening ? Please stop pretending that you are fine with him, I can't see you like this anymore." Savitri shake her by arm.
"How can I punish him ?" Gayatri ask, her flat voice clearly saying she is alive and breathing just for her kids.
"Beta I'm with you." Savitri know this the limit to bear anything and Gayatri already gone through a hell now this is the time to punish her evil son.
Afternoon..
"Mam someone is there to meet you." Their servant informed Gayatri.
"Your ring dropped there in party." Suraj give Gayatri back her gold ring, he know returning ring was just a excuse to meet her, to see if she is fine as he was so worried for her after seeing how Rajan behave with her last night.
"Thanks." She try to smile at him and he looked her carefully.
"Are you okay ?" He seen fingers marks on Gayatri cheek.
"Did Rajan." He leave his words incomplete when she turn away from him.
"I remind some work." She stand to leave.
"Please tell me." He hold her hand.
"There is nothing to tell you Suraj." She pulled back looking down as her tears fell.
"Really then why these tears ?" He tilted her chin up to met her eyes, he hated how pale she looked, hated the scars on her body.
"What you want to know ? And What should I tell you Suraj what ?" She cried.
"Gayatri." He hugged her when she cry bitterly.
"I know a good lawyer." He say as she told him everything what happening with her after she married to Rajan.
"You are pitying the poor women in front of you?" She looked him know he only can feel pity for her.
"How can you think like this ? You are my friend and I can't see my friend living with a sick man like Rajan." He say. Her phone rings, she saw savitri name on her phone screen.
"Hello mom." She pick call.
"yeah I will." Savitri inform her to pick Yash and Shravan from school.
"Suraj I need to pick Shravan & Yash from school." She tell him.
"I'm leaving so let go, I'll drop you to their school." He say getting up from chair.
In car..
"I'm happy that your mother in law supporting you." Suraj try to make Gayatri talk a little but its look like she don't have anything to say.
After two days Gayatri and Suraj went to the lawyer office Mrs. Alishka Bedi and the lady tell them to file case of domestic violence in police station then she will handle everything. Next day police went to Malhotra mansion with arrest warrant of Rajan and he spend his two nights in lockup thanks to public holiday.

"Yash I heard your father is bad, he beat your mother." A senior girl of Yash school question him when he going to his classroom.
"No my father is not bad." Yash almost had tears seeing all the other students surrounding him.
"Hey why are you lying ?" A boy ask pushing Yash and all the other start to make fun of Yash and some of them even start to hit him.
"Leave me." Yash cry running away from them.
"Yash." Shravan bumped into Yash.
"Shravan they all are bad." He sob pointed behind.
"Who and why are you crying ?" Shravan look behind but find none.
"Shivani your senior girl say dad is bad and he beat mom." Yash told wipe his flowing tears with back of his palm but soon fresh tears made their way out his eyes.
"They are lying Yash, don't believe them." Shravan wipe Yash tears but he know they are not lying because Shravan himself witness a five time Rajan and Gayatri fighting and some times Rajan slapping her, he even heard Gayatri cry many times in their room.
"I know they are lairs." Yash say, innocently believing his brother.

After three month Judge write the case in faver of Gayatri.
"I will not leave you Gayatri." Rajan screams like a mad man when he heard that he have to spend his half of life in jail.
"Mom." Gayatri hugging savitri, she don't know what should she feel happy because she finally punished Rajan for his deeds or fear for her kids future.
Malhotra mansion..
"Mom where is dad ?" Yash question Gayatri when Gayatri and savitri back home from cort. Gayatri look savitri but both don't know how to answer him.
"Yash come to me." Savitri picked up Yash in her arms before they all sat in hall.
"You remember I tell you a story of a evil mad king who use to hurt his Queen and an angel who punished that evil king." Savitri sweetly remind Yash about the story. Gayatri looked her and savitri blinked her in assurance.
"Yes I remember, I love Angel for punishing that evil king." Yash told smiling.
"That's like my smart baby!" Savitri kissed his forehead.
"You know that beautiful Queen and mad king is here in real world." Savitri tell but Yash looked her confused.
"Real world ?" Shravan question who is until now listening everything silently.
"Yes real world means like me and you." Savitri told, both the brothers get excited knowing this.
"You know who is that Queen ?" Savitri ask looking Gayatri who is trying hard to not cry in front of Shravan and Yash.
"Who ?" Both the brothers ask curiously.
"She is your mom." Savitri told, both Yash Shravan looked at Gayatri.
"You are queen ?" Yash stepped down savitri lap, stand in front of Gayatri.
"Yes baby." Gayatri touch his cheek softly, holding back her tears.
"And the mad, evil king is dad." Savitri & Gayatri both shocked as Shravan told instead of questioning.
"Shravan ?" Gayatri bend down in front of him know he is aware of everything, She hold her mouth as the reality sink in her kids witness something they shouldn't.
"Mom." Yash had tears just by seeing Gayatri crying.
"I'm not crying." She instantly cleaned her face and wipe his tears away, make both sit on coach beside her.
"That means Shivani is right, now my all friends will tease me celling liar." Yash sadly look down hugging Gayatri waist.
"I'm there Yash, no one will tease you." Shravan say tilted Yash chin up. Gayatri smile at him know Yash is really innocent but Shravan act mature then his age.

After five months when Gayatri living a peaceful life with Yash and Shravan, savitri.
"I'm back." Gayatri frozen on her place seeing Rajan in front of her again in Malhotra mansion, He give a winning smile to her.
"Oh my Darling wife look shock but why ? hmm let me think, yeah I remember because your plan failed of living a happy life with your lover Suraj, am I right Gayatri." Rajan cold voice send shiver down her spine.
"Rajan first of all what are you doing here ?" Savitri ask the question that bothering her.
"Because of my good behavior, my punishment decreased so they leave me." He told but savitri know this is not as simple as he saying.
"Tell me what you did ?" Savitri ask in anger.
"You know some money, a little use of brain and do you really think I'm going to live my half life inside that sick place ? " he told without any shame.
"You are disgusting, get out of my house." Savitri shout furiously.
"I think you forget this mansion is not only your property but Malhotra mansion is mine as well." He told with a wicked smile.
"Dad." Yash screams in happiness seeing his father after so many days.
"Oh my baby come here." Rajan spread his arms for Yash.
"I missed you my love." He kissed Yash forehead and cheeks as Yash hugged him laughing in happiness.
"Me too." Yash smile wide.
"Really ?" Rajan give a evil smile to both Gayatri and savitri.
"Mom." Gayatri hold savitri hand in concern seeing Yash in Rajan arms.
"Yash come we are getting late for your tuition classes." Savitri call Yash.
"Mom please after so many days I'm back to home, please let me spend some time with my Yash." Rajan say picking up Yash in arms.
"But." Gayatri try to say something but she heard Yash.
"Yes dadi please." Yash made a puppy face.
"Okay." Savitri agree just for Yash happiness.
"Let's go champ for a drive." Rajan say and Yash nodded excitingly.
"Mom my Yash, why you didn't stop Rajan." Gayatri worriedly look Yash as Rajan take him out.
"Rajan can't think of hurting his own son, I know." Savitri assured her, can understand her worry for her kid.
"Have faith in me." Savitri turned Gayatri to her when her eyes still staring door restlessly.
"I need to pick Shravan from his singing classes." Savitri say before leaving MM.

In night a drank Rajan enter in Gayatri room, find her sleeping.
"I missed you my beautiful wife." He blabber sat on bed, caress her white arm, her sleep break with his movement.
"I love you." He come over her intend to kiss her.
"Rajan." Gayatri gasp in shock and push him.
"What happen Darling." He hold her wrist to her head.
"Leave me." She cry know he is again going to force her.
"Why are you crying Gayatri I'm your husband, oh did you and Suraj already sleep so now you are not liking my touch ?" He blabber whatever come to his month.
"Leave, you are not in your sense." She beg struggling but he angrily ripped her nighty from shoulder.
"Leave me." She scream loudly, pushed him with her all the strength, She moved out of bed crying try to hold her turn nighty on place.
"You are disgusting Rajan, you can never change and not your cheap thinking never." She shout crying moving away from him her back touch the wall behind her, she hug herself close. Rajan stand on his feet but he was so drank that he again fell on bed.
"Gayatri beta." Savitri come in room hearing her screams. but shock to see Gayatri cry and Rajan who can't even stand on his own feet.
"What he did ?" She hold Gayatri, her eyes fell on her ripped clothe. She leave her, pulled Rajan from bed and slapped him so hard that he fell down in her feet.
"Just for ones Rajan, can you behave like a man not dog ?" Savitri shout feel shame know this man is her son, leaving Rajan on floor itself she pulled Gayatri out of room to her bedroom.

"You divorce him, you are still young Gayatri please don't punish yourself by living with Rajan." Savitri hold her hands.
"Where I will go with my kids ?" Gayatri ask knowing her mom dad not going to accept her back in their home after her divorce, Rajan never let her work anywhere so now she doesn't have a job experience to work somewhere for her kids good future. she sacrifice her freedom, her dreams just for the sake of Rajan, after Yash and Shravan born she even stopped caring of her self respect.
"Don't forget I have my own share of property, you are not leaving this mansion alone I'm too with you because I know my so called son doesn't care about me." Savitri told, know her son not going to change, Gayatri has a long life and her kids.
Evening...
Gayatri Rajan bedroom..
"What Divorce, Gayatri are you out of your mind ? I'm your husband and everyone have ups and down in their marriage life that doesn't mean we think about divorce." He give a useless clarification.
"Yeah husband how I forget ?" She laugh sadly.
"A husband who abuses his wife every now and then, a husband who not even trust his own wife and a husband who rape his wife, Right." Gayatri screams as angry tears roll down her cheek, she not even care to wipe them away, don't want to hide the pain she never show anyone before.
"I'm not divorcing you, I love you Gayatri." Rajan cup her face, she looked him.
"You never loved me Rajan I was just your obsession that you just want to have anyhow and you did because I was the fool here who fall in love with you but now I know that was my mistake, if you are talking about love then I tell you Rajan, in love we should trust and respect the person we love but you never trusted me, leave respecting me you always treat me like I'm not a human but a toy, a toy that you love to play and break." She pulled away from him.
"Please forgive me Gayatri, I can't leave without you." Rajan hold her hands felling on his knees.
"I forgive you many times thinking you will change some day but my wait never comes to end." She say taking two steps back, her hands slip from his hold.
After a week..
In cort room..
"I want my both son with me." Rajan demand thinking now Gayatri will change her mind of divorcing him, Gayatri, savitri shocked hearing rajan requesting in front of Judge.
"No they are my kids, I can't live without them." Gayatri devastated with the thought of living without her babies. savitri hold her, can't believe her son want to separate a mother from her child.
After a week..
Next date of court..
"In this week I think a solution, both mother father can have one kid with them." Judge told but Rajan was not at all happy and Gayatri cry silently she never thought this divorce going to snatch her a kid from her.
"Please don't do this they both are just 7 years old, they can't live without me." Judge heard Gayatri cry but he know he can't do anything.
After five month..
Court final decision was Shravan will live with his father Rajan and Yash with his mother Gayatri.
"Mom I don't want to live with dad, I want you." Shravan cry hugging Gayatri when Rajan trying hard to pull Shravan away from her.
"Please don't do this." Gayatri beg holding Shravan tight in her arms. Rajan forcefully pulled him out Gayatri arms.
"Shravan." She scream when Shravan hands slip from her hold and Rajan guards stop Gayatri way.
"Leave me, I won't go anywhere." Shravan cried throwing his hands, legs in air.
"Rajan you can't do this." she try to go behind Rajan who is taking a crying Shravan with him.
"leave me." She struggle as Suraj hold her.
"We will never meet again ?" Yash cry, savitri pick him up.
"Yes." She don't want to give him false hopes.
"Why ?" He again turned to look Shravan who now crying inside Rajan car.
"Why Dadi tell me ?" Yash shake savitri for answer but she don't have answer of his innocent question.
"Gayatri." Suraj hugged her when Rajan car zoomed away. That day Rajan moved with Shravan in their other mansion so that Gayatri can't meet Shravan, after some days he even changed Shravan school just to keep him away from her.
After two week..
Afternoon..
"I want Shravan, bring him back." Yash blabber in his sleep.
"Oh god what happen to him." Suraj gasp in shock when he touch Yash's burning forehead.
"high fever." Gayatri hold Yash hand.
"I try a lot to make him understand its not possible to meet Shravan but Yash just not ready to listen anything, he even stopped going playing with other kids I don't know what to do now." She cry helplessly to see her kid suffering because of the Rajan.
"You don't worry, I call doctor." Suraj take out call phone.
"Doctor already see him but nothing working, no medicine nothing." She fear seeing Yash not recovering.
"Beta." Savitri put hand on Gayatri shoulder she don't know how to console her.
Whole afternoon passed three of them does take care of Yash and in evening finally Yash fever reduced.
In hall..
"Thanks Aunty you informed me." Suraj said when servant bring tea for both of them.
"I just not called you for Yash but also for."she stop saying not sure from where should she start and don't know if this is the right time or not.
"Gayatri and Yash need to leave this city, not only Yash fallen sick but Gayatri as well, she was in depression from the day Rajan take away Shravan. they both have to move somewhere else to forget Shravan." She tell and Suraj remember how weak and pale Gayatri look now. He too think she is right moving way from this city can help them of coming out of depression.
"Do you likes Gayatri ?" She shocked Suraj.
"What are you asking." He ask in shock.
"Please don't take me wrong but right now I'm just thinking about Gayatri Yash and Shravan. I just want to see them happy in their lives and I don't want Rajan to spoil Shravan life so I have to move with them but before that I have to make sure Gayatri is in safe hands, I might sound selfish but please marry Gayatri." She know she is selfish in dragging Suraj in all this.
"I can marry Gayatri to any rich man but he can't give Yash the love of father that the innocent boy deserve, don't know how will he treat them." She waited for Suraj to answer her.
"I will marry her." Suraj spoke after a long silence, thinking a lot. Savitri looked him with happy tears in her eyes.
"I'm so grateful to you!." She feel peace as now there is someone who truly cares for Gayatri and Yash.
"Please forgive me for spoiling your life." she apologized joining her palm in front of him.
"Please don't apologize I can understand your situation." He pulled her hands down.
"I will not lie to you but I never looked Gayatri more then friend but I know with time I will love her, Yash I already fall for the adorable boy, its my promise to you I will love him more then anything else." Suraj assured her, savitri looked him with grateful eyes.
Next day..
Savitri spoke to Rajan to let Yash and Gayatri meet Shravan but he cruelly refused so Suraj get the order from cort for meeting Shravan. Gayatri Yash did meet Shravan but Gayatri feel the change in Shravan behavior toward her and when she ask the reason.
"I hate you for leaving me and for choosing Suraj Uncle." Shravan said whatever Rajan fill his innocent mind with. Gayatri shocked seeing him talking in someone else language.
"Baby." Gayatri hold his face.
"Leave me you don't love me anymore" He cry running away, Gayatri sat their unmoved, not believing her Shravan hates her. After returned from Rajan mansion savitri question seeing Gayatri not happy like she expected.
"Mom Shravan hates me, he hate me." Gayatri told in her flat voice and went to her room.
"Gayatri listen." Savitri looked helplessly at her. after sometime when she went to Gayatri room, see her crying there. In evening savitri spoke to Rajan and asked him why he is doing all this.
"If she is not mine then I will not let her live happily, this is my promise to you and I know mom you are the one who make her stand against me because I know my Gayatri, she is too innocent to even spoke a word against me and you separate her from me." Rajan told what he intend to do.
"Its a shame Rajan that you can't see you are wrong here I did nothing short of what you are accused me, you can't even see you are hurting your own kids in your ego." She said before put receiver down don't know where she lack in his upbringing.
After like a month when everything going good savitri ask to Gayatri to marry Suraj, Gayatri get angry and almost stopped talking to her but after some days savitri again ask her but this time Gayatri try to make her understand calmly.
"I'm happy with my Yash, I don't want to make anyone part of my life and Mom how can you think of dragging Suraj in all this mess, we both know I can't give him anything, even if I marry him I can't give him the love of a wife that he deserve." She said looking ring in her finger know very well she can't love any other man again, she remember Rajan give her this ring on their wadding anniversary.
"You are thinking about Suraj but what about you and Yash, I have to look Shravan as well think about him please, tell me do you want Rajan to spoil Shravan life ?" She say not just thinking about Gayatri and Yash but also worried for Shravan.
"if I die some day." Savitri said but Gayatri stop her between.
"Mom please." She hold her arm.
"Let me finish Gayatri, if I die then what about you two ? tell me do you think I will die peacefully knowing there is no one for you both after me, knowing Rajan can't let you live in peace and I'm not getting how can you still love that man who give nothing to you but only pain." Savitri raise her voice know this is the only option to make Gayatri understand to move on in her life.
Some months passed and finally savitri make Gayatri agree for the marriage but this time with all the emotional blackmail, after Gayatri Suraj cort marriage savitri went back to Rajan to take care of Shravan. Shravan hatred for Gayatri and Suraj increased more after knowing now Suraj is Yash's father. Suraj take Yash and Gayatri to Dubai where his whole family live and with the help of his big family Yash Gayatri both come out of the depression but forgetting Shravan was impossible for both.
Back to present..
"Shravan hates me so much that he don't even want to see my face again." Gayatri wipe away her tears don't know why god punished three of them when mistake was someone else. Yash hug Gayatri resting his head on her shoulder with tear filled eyes, know they all go through a lot.
