Chapter 32

Diwali arrived Aripta and Radha made sure the family had a traditional celebration despite the fact that the kids had classes, and is was a working day filled with important meetings for Akash. Ishita and Aripta [young] got invited to the homes of their friends for the celebrations they attended hoping to finally meet Yash much to their disappointment; but these girls refuse to give up.

The weeks passed and soon it was Christmas break both girls were desperate Aarya's marriage will take place in India the both believed, their efforts were futile but they both believed that they could come in between the happy couple and separated them after all they are so hot and beautiful; and Yash is a red blooded man how could her refuse them. So they returned to Bhopal Ishita stayed with relatives, and Aripta did the same, they stalked the media asked in their social circle anything to get information but none knew that AarYa were already married and living in London.

AarYa meanwhile were enjoying their holidays in London their friends had parties which they attended, even at the office there was a dinner party which the entire family attended. The kids were on a break from studies so it was romance time and they took pleasure in the simplest things enjoying each other's company to the fullest whether it shopping, going to the movies, or staying at home enjoying with the family. On night a storm came and the electricity was knocked out their house had a chimneys and luckily for them there were wood and coals in their shed so the men were able to start a fire and the ladies cooked their meals. Everyone stayed in the living room area to keep warm. The parents used this opportunity to speak to the kids as young adults, "Kids we want to know is everything going good with you all? Your studies okay no problems? Girls are you adjusting well?" asked Aripta mama

"Yes mama everything is going fine with the support of my family said Aarti."
"Yes auntie I am grateful for all the support I am receiving from you and Uncle ji." Replied Mansi

"Yash, Aaman are you finding it too difficult to adjust to studying and working part time? I know Aaman you have an active social life, and Yash your marriage to Aarti I know you guys are young and are able to adjust but as you continue to grow you will meet new people and your interest may change, also your jobs make take you both in different directions you may grow apart." Expounded Akash

"Papa are you trying to tell us that even though Aarti and I love each other now we may grow apart and fall out of love and find new people to love?" said Yash

"Beta it happens couples so much in love and happy together for years grow apart and divorce move ahead with new partners."

"But not all the time they work out their problems and stay together?" asked an anxious Aarti

"Yes beta they do" answered Aripta

"Betas let us tell you about ourselves as examples" answered Akash

"Yash your father and I were at boarding school together when we became friends, then we both attended university here in London both of us were roommates and our friend ship grew we became brothers just like you and Aaman"

"Yash your mother and I were at the same girl's boarding school we were classmates and socialized in the same groups, we both had our own best friends. After boarding school I came to London for university and your nana ji insisted that your ma get married he had arranged your parents wedding when they were both children; before your father left for university their wedding took place. My family was invited because we belong to the same society there I met your father for the first time we became attracted to each other and we spent as much time as possible together during the per, and post wedding celebrations. Of course we were sad when we said good bye, vowing to keep in touch through letters."

"After a two weeks SP and I left for university, he was happy G3 was the first girl he was allowed to be with and he made the most of his time with her as a married couple. While the closest I had to a girlfriend was Aripta but we never crossed our limits the most we did was hold hands, but I missed her friendship. Then on the first day to my surprise there she was in the same class as me, our friendship continued. As time passed SP being the handsome, charming young man he was got lots of attention from the ladies and I would be lying if I said he did not make the most of it like you Aaman. The family informed that G3 was pregnant they were happy but SP felt trapped. He considered himself to young to be a father even the two of us supported his belief. At the end of our first year we all went home SP saw baby Pankaj he was just about two months old. SP felt a sense of responsibility to G3, and their baby but that was it there was no love between them they were strangers and his parents did not help much they allowed SP to enjoy his holidays with his friends. We went to Goa for a couple of week had a blast there, then we spent another two weeks in Delhi partying with old friends from boarding school. When he was at home he bonded with the baby who don't like cute babies and Pankaj was adorable but he remained distant from G3; she was not who he wanted she is his parent's choice. Time passed liked that for the next four years SP had fun so did I unlike SP I was not tied to anyone so I had no guilty feelings but from time to time guilt would overshadow him, then he would meet another beauty who is the opposite of G3 and have fun. Kids don't get me wrong I am not bad mouthing him I am just trying to make you understand that an arranged marriage was difficult for him especially at eighteen, and then we were here experiencing a different culture among all these girls beautiful in their own rite, freely offering themselves." explained Akash

"Betas as a young girl from a different culture I was shocked at their behaviour I did not expect these girl to be so free so opened with their sexuality, and at first I was appalled then I observed that my friends were behaving like a kid in a candy store. Akash and I were friends but that was it I refused to behave like those girls I had a goal complete my studies, work for my father then maybe latter on get married. When I realised that going to these parties were not a bad thing for me I had my head on no alcohol, no drugs I was not going to be influenced by anyone, I learned how to mingle with persons of different background, not all were loose and free. I made some very good friends I saw first hand how men behave when a pretty face in a sexy outfit comes before them. The five years that I lived here in London changed me I understood relationships between men and women better. The difference between love, lust, physical attraction, and infatuation; our traditions of arranged marriages verses love marriage. I observed SP trying to be the son his parents wanted he struggled to accept G3 and their son. SP a graduate of twenty three who wanted to remain here in London for some more years to work had to really work hard at convincing his bauji to allow him to stay here away from the family. They wanted him home to be the responsible son, husband , and father and he was not ready for that. When you force some one to do something they don't want to do the outcome is never good" said Aripta

"When I saw your dad wanting to stay I too wanted the same I managed to convince my papa to allow me and he convinced your dada ji to allow your father to stay and we did for the next four years working for a large international business. Aripta begged her parents to allow her to return but they wanted her to get married and had suitor lined up we were in contact with eachother and I got my parents to send my proposal we were not in love but we were very good friends and the only way she could fulfil her dreams of working was through marriage with me thank god I too am from a wealthy royal family from the same society and you nana ji agreed." Smiled Akash "The three of us lived together my chachi ji convinced my parents that I should not live so far away from my family so they allowed her to move in with us she was the elder here to ensure we did not break our traditions chacha ji would spend four months yearly here with us. SP would return home yearly for three weeks and the family would visit us for a month yearly this way SP got to spend time with little Pankaj. His relationship with G3 had not progressed much they both enjoyed different things. SP would try to take her out with us so she too would experience the modern lifestyle clubs, restaurants different cuisine. Aripta would take her shopping encourage her to were western dresses but she was just too shy, we knew SP wanted a wife that he would not feel ashamed of; he loved being with the ladies who worked with him, that were confident in any situation, who would be the perfect hostess at a dinner party, and sadly G3 was not that person. Your mama tried to help to give G3 tips, encourage her to at least give this change a chance but she would resist call it shameful behaviour. Eventually we returned to India SP to Bhopal and us to Delhi our lives moved in separate directions over the next ten years, but yearly we would meet at the dinner party for the visiting foreign business men and your mother would be the hostess for SP we would try to bring G3 out of her comfort zone but she felt so uncomfortable. Yash your parent's relationship had change they respected each other, neither one tried to force the other to change, they accepted their marriage, eventually they started to love each other it may not be the great romantic love story but it works for them. Throughout the years G3 has become accustomed to the dinner, and cocktails parties but she is more comfortable to host the more traditional family functions SP knew that she is the perfect bahu that his parents wants; she may not be the wife he dreamt of but out of respect for his parents and their traditions he accepted her, she has become a good friend and companion to him they understand each other so much so that they have started anticipating the other's move before they make it. They miss their partner when the other is away, their relationship took years to reach this point something we see both you and Aarti have since childhood".

"But what about you papa, mama?" asked Aarti

"We were friends first, then we became best friends, in the beginning when we first met it was puppy love and after a while we out grew that, we became just friends for years living our life and then eventually we found our way back to eachother after a couple years of marriage." Said Akash

"Yes your papa had his fair share of ladies, it did not bother me because we were not a couple we were just friends, even after we were married for that first few years we were happy respecting each other personal lives, we got married because of our friendship, trust, and respect for each other and of course being young we enjoyed each other had to offer. Don't look so shocked children it was okay we are husband and wife; strangers do it in arranged marriages it is expected of them there is no love just lust. Then eventually acceptance and love develops." Explained Aripta.

"But sometimes a couple do outgrow each other because of their jobs takes them in different directions, interest may change, they see someone whom they become attracted to and suddenly their spouse becomes invisible, or an annoyance in their lives." Said Akash

"And sometimes if they are very lucky the same partner whom they discarded forgives them and accept them back because they never stopped loving them." Responded Aripta

"We have our share of problems I kept having miscarriages then in an effort to save you we decided to separate with me going into hiding until you were born and safe in the ashram with the Dubeys. But you father never stopped loving me but to our family we were separate and he maintained the lie by dating others even agreeing to divorce me and re marry."

"Aarti your mama and I may fight, take some some time apart but we love each other very much, no one and nothing can separate us, we don't cling to each other or try to control each other we respect each's opinion, and space, in my mind, and heart there is no other woman who god created for me but your mother even though at times she annoys me." He laughs

"Yeah and there is no one else who will tolerate you with all your faults and moods. Another woman would of discarded you at the drop of a hat, and take all your wealth and never look back" she teased him

"Mama are you trying to tell us that as much as Yash and I love each other we may one day fall out of love and move on with someone else."

"Baby that don't always happen but from what we have seen with you two a nuclear war have to happen and kill off one of you before that happens, you two may fight each other may take a break from each other but heaven help the fool who dares to come in between you. You two are just the halves from the same whole and only a fool will not recognise that and attempt to separate you." Responded Akash with Aripta agreeing. few weeks.

"Just look at Yash's expression he is ready to do battle to keep you both together" laughed Aripta she continued "No one can predict the future only just hope for the best. But as parents it is our rite to advise and guide you."

Mansi said "I want to have a career auntie do you think my family will allow me too? I don't want to get married to soon and if I do I hope it is to an understanding man like you uncle Akash."

Aaman said "I hope I don't get a clingy wife who alone want to talk about the kids, shopping, and religious functions."

"You don't want a traditional wife" asked Yash

"Sure she can follow traditions but she must also be independent, speak her mind, but also be responsible, and if she want to work no problem as long as it don't hamper our family life just like you Auntie Aripta and how Aarti is growing up."

"Betas it was easy for me I had the support of my husband plus Aarti was not with us, so we worked together trusting, and, supporting eachother's decisions Akash and I respect each other as individuals. If I had the privilege of having my Aarti as a baby with me I may have decided to be a full time mom that is until she started school. I regret missing out on so much of your life my baby that I don't want you girls to have the same regret like me."

"Mama by the time I have my baby I am hoping that you all will have some form of a nursery/ day care, then and after school programme in place in the company so working mothers like me will not have to be too far away from her baby" Aarti said with a hopeful pleading look to her parents.

"See Aripta she is indeed my daughter always thinking ahead, and coming up with splendid ideas if we have the moms stress free working in our company our productivity will increase"

"OH HELLO she is only your daughter who had her growing in body for nine months??" she teased back. The family continued their teasing of each other, with some more serious conversation until they were just too tired to continue..

The electricity did not return and all had to sleep in the living room the ladies sleep together and he men much to Yash's irritation slept together. He had a sleepless night whishing he had his lady love in his arm lying here in front of this cosy fire but that will have to wait until another time when they are alone together, now it is family time. Aaman could not stop himself from whispering some teasing comments to him earning him some taps and hunches from Yash all in good fun.

The following day Yash decided that he wanted to spend the day with his lady but the poor boy's plans was disturbed they had to clean out the driveway because during the night there was a heavy downfall of snow, then when the electricity returned the family wanted to spend it together with dinner and movie at home bonding because everyone's lives were so busy during the past

After the movie and bed time Yash did his cute pouting for his Aarti she knew what her hero wanted and decided to tease him by wearing her thickest frumpiest old lady nightgown and give him a quick kiss on the cheek and went into the bed covering her entire body. Poor Yash wanted to die how could his love be so mean already she is behaving like an old married woman who has lost her sense of romance.
" What the heck are you wearing?" exclaimed a surprised Yash "Did Radha ma gift that to you?"

"No it is mine and it is from dadiji for cold winter nights" she laughed

"Well I can thinks of a much better way to keep warm in cold nights" smiled Yash moving closer to her under the covers "Comfortable my love nice and warm?" asked Yash

"Yes I am nice and toasty thanks for asking good night" and she reached up and give him a quick kiss on the lips turned and made herself comfortable

"What only one kiss? Aarti you don't want your pillow tonight?" he pouted turning her around to face him and saw her naughty teasing expression that she was so trying to hide.

"You know what my love you look so beautiful and sexy in this night gown I think you should wear it every night, and I will hug you that way both of us will feel nice and toasty." And he pulled he into his arms holding her from the back she felt his arousal against her bum and decided to pretend that it did not affect her "I am so tired tonight it had been a long day let me just get comfy" rubbing her he body seductively against him, causing Yash heartbeat to race, and his voice became thick with emotions "I thought someone wanted to sleep tonight?" he teased back "What is wrong now? Change your mind?"

Aarti begun to lift the skirt of her grannie nightie "Baby what are you doing?" asked a curious Yash

"This thing is making me to hot and scratchy It seemed like a good idea to tease you with now it is just irritating me come nah Yashu help me get it off and check my back for any redness or rashes"
Aarti continued to wriggle to get the nightie off quickly, Yash checked her back and yes there was a rash forming

Yash tried to contain his laugh when Aarti said "Help nah rub some lotion and please scratch my back please never again will I try this trick" and begun scratching her arms and legs

Yash was now openly laughing because she looked so funny wriggling on the sheet trying to rub her itchy body that he took her up carried her into the washroom in a warm bath and joined her Aarti was to busy trying to rub herself to stop the itching but Yash did not mind he was enjoying helping her in this nice warm tub, then drying and rubbing lotion on her body followed by some passionate love making which the poor boy was deprived off for a few weeks due to the stress of exams.

Christmas eve the company had a lavish celebration in a five star hotel for all the employees from the different parts of the world who were away from their homes and families for the holidays. Akash made sure that their family had their own private rooms booked to spend the night and next two days giving Radha some time off to visit her relatives living in London. He being a responsible father would allow his boys some alcohol but will not allow them to drive although his girls were very good drivers he felt safer if they stayed at the hotel plus Aarya would have some alone time to romance, and it wont be a bad thing for him and his beautiful wife either.

Keeping with the hotel dress code all were in semi formal/ formal wear Aarti wore a long black dress with her hair held in a bun exposing her long neck, Mansi choose a long light pink dress, and Aripta also in a black long dress. The dinner menu was international keeping with the Christmas season but there were also veggie dishes for those who prefer, after dinner was the party until two am. True to his word Akash allowed the boys to have alcohol under his watchful eyes. Aarya made a gorgeous couple they danced every song together Yash refusing to allow his girl far from him there was a bevy of beauties trying to get both Aaman's and Yash attention much to Aarti's and Mansi's amusement because these ladies looked older that the boys Aaman did not mind he enjoyed the attention, while Yash was irritated and kept on saying I am with some one meet my date, she is my wife, but the ladies did not believe that they were married because they looked so young. Fed up with all the unwanted attention Yash took Aarti told their parents he had enough and they were going to their room; he had a few drinks but he wanted to be sober enough to enjoy his night with his girl.

They entered their room made sure the door was locked and started their passionate onslaught of each other savouring each touch, kiss, bite giving and receiving equal amounts of pleasure until exhausted they fell asleep happy in each other's arms confident of their growing love.

They spent the next week enjoying being together a mini honeymoon relishing being young and in love because when the new semester starts there will be little time for romance as both were very hard working when it comes to their studies and achieving their goals. They spoke of their childhood the first New Year's they spent together some nine years back held at the Sharma house.

Flashback

Aarti was so excited for the new year she had a lot to be thankful for acceptance into a loving family, friends, health, and she was learning so many new things. This New Year's Eve there was a huge party at the house and all the ladies were very busy getting everything in order the kids were under the supervision of Pankaj bhayia who had returned for a two weeks break from London he was fun to be around ensuring that they had supervision but lots of fun. Yash was excited as much as Aarti she is such a happy child willing to try new things such as dancing Mansi wanted to dance at the party and she was attempting to teach Aarti some steps to the latest Bollywood songs but little Prateek would not stop teasing them encouraging Aaman and Yash to join in the fun. Aarti did not mind the teasing because she give them back fitting answer based on their attempt at dancing. A shy Aarya had their first slow dance together that first New Year's party they spent together that song became special for them, the memory remains in their heart, and brain forever.

End of flashback

"Aarti this New year's we will spend as husband and wife the first of many many years I want to bring in the New Year holding you I my arms dancing to our song so I have requested papa for us to spend that time at home just us the family. Both Aman and Mansi have also agreed to spend it at home, Radha ma is still with her relatives so it will be just the six of us. Baby do you agree or would you having a party or going out?"

"No Yashu I would love to be at home with my family, and you know what let have a dance practice now with our favourite song." It may have started as an innocent dance but soon escalated into a full on romance session.

Old Years Night was spent with a dinner made by the three ladies, followed by looking at movie on tv then half and hour to midnight dancing finally with Aarya bring in the New Year dancing in each other's arms, and sharing a kiss at midnight sealing their deal of spending a lifetime together.
