Chapter 27 A

It was decided by the adults that Aarti would spend the last year of secondary school with her parents Akash and Aripta, they bought a house opposite the Sharmas in Bhopal so Aarti could still be close to her foster family and Mansi can sleep over. Akash did a lot of travelling throughout India and neighbouring countries SP decided that Pankaj would take some of the responsibilities from Akash giving him time to spend with his daughter before she leaves for university although they were planning for Akash to head their European business offices in London for the duration of time that Aarti will be at school there. The Sharma's merged their family business with the Scandia's and Deo Singhs. Akash had decided that he had enough of politics, too many were against his ideas for change, and the constant treat to his family he could live without, now his main focus was on his daughter and her happiness.

Aarti was excited and happy to live with her parents, and on the other hand sad to leave the Sharmas; even though all said now she has two homes where she can spend time in both. Mansi was also sad but then quickly understood it was for the best for her di to spend some alone quality time with her parents before they become adults and too engross in their own lives.

December came quickly the girls like most health conscious person went for their morning jog to the nearby park despite it being a chilly morning, Prateek was nagging his Pankaj bhayia to teach him to ride a moto bike so he agreed that morning he took him to the quiet street where the Sharmas and Deo Singhs lived. While jogging with the guard following the girls a car came into the quiet street the guy stopped and asked the girls for direction which they give, and both continued on their respective ways. The driver turned his car around came to a screeching halt two men came out grabbed Aarti a third came and hit Mansi on the side of her face shoving her down on the sidewalk. Mansi screamed trying to grab the man's leg making him fall while Aarti tried wriggling out of the men's hold but they had grabbed her feet and her upper body she tried hitting the man holding her upper body with her head screaming all the way. They had a difficult time to get her into the car. Pankaj and Prateek who were close by heard and saw the commotion Pankaj and the guard ran to the assistance of the girls but they only managed to apprehend the guy Mansi tripped and the one holding on to Aarti's feet after a brief fight. Prateek who was momentary stunned reacted only after he heard his Aarti didi screamed again while they roughly shoved her into the car and the door slammed when the driver speed off. On an adrenaline rush Prateek speed the bike after the car and the kidnappers with his Aarti didi Prateek followed then he stopped a distant from them and called his Pankaj bhayia who quarrelled with his chote about his rash decision but Prateek said his didi life depends on his help, he give the direction to the place they stopped he watched from a distance how they transferred a weak Aarti from the car into a van he give the make and model of the van to his bhayia; starting the bike again to follow then he stopped again a distance away calling his bhayia again with the number of the van. Pankaj again warned him to wait right there and stop following that those were dangerous people who would not stop to hurt or kill him, but Prateek love for his didi give him the confidence to follow at a distance he saw that they entered a lonely lane and parked the van behind an old building Prateek hid himself and his bike behind another building and call his bhayia again giving him the information. "Thank you god I love American tv and action movies" he said "God please protect my Aarti didi and I, please send the police quickly"

The police were contacted and a search begun for Aarti and her kidnappers all the parents were frantic with worry for their children safety. The police interrogated the two caught men who were very uncooperative in the beginning until they were placed in a holding cell with a mad dangerous man who beat them up thinking that they were terrorist out to kill him, The two criminals begged for mercy and they sold out their boss but they had no information on who ordered the kidnapping.

The police raided the hide out of the boss man and another group surrounded the building in which Aarti was kept they rescued Aarti and apprehended the two kidnappers Pankaj and Akash accompanied the police on their rescue mission they stayed in the background with Prateek out of harms way. When Aarti was safely removed from the building Akash, Pankaj, and Prateek ran towards her Akash held his sleeping daughter in his loving arms. they took her to the nearest hospital for a quick physical. The doctor said she was unharmed but drugged she has to sleep it off so he recommended that she be admitted to be closely monitored for any undue reactions to the drugs

Her moms and the rest of the family made their way to the hospital when they received the news each giving thanks to god for her safety. Akash updated them regarding Aarti's health status, he asked SP if they told the boys SP said yes and then he updated them when Aarti was found unharmed, the boys will be arriving the following evening a day earlier than planned for their two week break.

In London

Yash and Aaman had just returned home after their final exam Radha ma had snacks prepared for them which they sat down to enjoy when they got the call from SP informing of Aarti's kidnapping, Yash became stunned he dropped the phone Aaman noticed his Bhai ran to him took the phone and spoke to SP. Radha got scared seeing Yash's condition tears were freely rolling down his face and he slumped to the floor she ran to him and held him close to her heart comforting the young man them he screamed Aarti name repeatedly Aaman rushed across to his bhai he too was crying but he needed to be strong for his buddy all he could do was to try and reassure him that the police will find her on time that their brave little Prateek is following the vehicle god will be on their side everything will be find. Radha too tried her best to comfort her boys in the short time that she knew them she had developed motherly love for them. The wait seemed endless but it was only about three then they got the message that she was safe in the hospital the kidnappers were caught. Yash wanted to leave for India immediately but the only flight they could get was for the following day.

Then he got the call from Akash uncle "Yash beta are you and Aaman okay?" "Ji uncle how is my Aarti has she said anything?"

"No beta they drugged her the doctor kept her under observation for the night they say she has to sleep off the drugs, but she was not harm in any other way."

"Beta don't worry our girl is fine have faith in god he kept her safe for us, and beta our baby Prateek is a hero I am so proud of him"

"Ji uncle but when I return home he is going to get a good scolding from me he could of died during the chase playing hero"

"Yash beta Prateek love his didi so much he did not think rationally that he placed himself in harm's way your bauji give him a good scolding for his recklessness but we all love appreciate and are extremely proud of his quick thinking and actions; because of his brave moves we have our daughter safe with us. The Sharmas, Aripta and I can never have enough praise of love for him. Beta you and Aaman get some rest and travel safe until we will meet tomorrow."

Aripta sat next to Aarti who was sound asleep she touched her child's head loving stroking her cheeks "I could of lost you again but this time it could have been forever the last time I left you at the orphanage for your own safety and I received frequent updates and pictures of your life that your papa and I treasured, then with the Sharma's I could visit and speak and hold you my baby, now you are living with us and look what happened those B*****DS tried to take you away permanently away from us. I hope they are caught and left to rot in jail"

The sharma ladies and the Scindhia ladies stayed in the room they too did not want to be far away from their child. These ladies were a great source of comfort to each other praying and each taking a turn to sit and talk to a sleeping Aarti rubbing her head, face hands and legs. Mansi was examined by the doctors and she had a fractured left foot she would be in crutches for a couple of months, but she too did not want to be far from her Aarti di.

In the police station the Sharmas men, Scindhia men and Akash were there with the commissioner of police; they did good today the captured a major crime gang but the boss was a hard man to break he refused to disclosed who ordered the kidnapping, but he did say that they were ordered to keep the girl until they received the ransom then shoot and kill her in the presence of her father. That simply made statement lead them to believe that the hit was ordered by someone who knows or suspect that Aarti is Akash's daughter. They were able to narrow down their suspect list as to who would gain by killing an innocent girl. They needed hard evidence the boss man had to talk and give up his employer's name so they made a deal with the man, protective custody for him and his family in return for information, the man feared for his family's life so he agreed to the deal. This crime lord had plenty to say about many well-known public figures in Bhopal, and Delhi both in politics and business, he also mention Akash's relatives and the names of another gang in Delhi that works with them. The evidence all pointed to the chacha and his son they would be arrested but the real evil the true boss his wife the evil chachi will be free.

After some fourteen hours Aarti awoke first she screamed out "Let go of me you cowards!!" her arm and legs moving defensively on the bed her mom's got shocks and scared by her actions Aripta held her daughter close to her reassuring her all was well "Shush baby all is okay you are safe" she rocked her the Sharma moms came and rubbed her back and her legs reassuring her of their love Aarti was showered in kisses by her moms then the Sharma ladies excused themselves saying they will inform the doctor and their families, they wanted to give mother and daughter some alone time.

The doctor examine Aarti and told when they receive the blood results then she will be discharged just a matter of a few more hours. Aarpita fed Aarti a light soup that daadi Sharma made, G3 brought fresh juice for her girl all the ladies were busy fussing over her even. Mansi refused to be away from her di, when Aarti saw her sister on crutches she started to cry her di got damaged because of her. Mansi came and sat on the bed next to Aarti and they hugged reassuring her that isn't their fault, that bad things sometimes happen to good people, and it was worth getting her foot damage because she helped catch one of the goons.

The men came all were happy their girl was awake and was safe with them Prateek hugged hid didi and kissed her on her cheeks he started to cry the boy was so happy to have her safe; he told how he had witnessed her weak almost lifeless body being transferred from one vehicle to another, and then into the building by those goons. Aarti was confused how do he know this, then Pankaj bhayia related to her how they witnessed her kidnapping and Prateek heroic act of following the kidnappers vehicle on their bike. Aarti tapped Prateek hard on his head "you fool you could have been killed" she shouted at him then she pull him in for a hug crying and telling him how much she love him but never risk his life like that again. "But you are my didi and Yash bhayia will kill me if I did not even try besides Mansi didi also is a heroine she stopped one goon" explained Prateek "And she got her foot damaged" said a sad Aarti "Di that happened when the goon pushed me I twisted it and fell on a huge stone" said Mansi.

"Did how did they drug you when you were fighting them back?" asked Prateek

"In the car the driver showed me his gun and shouted for me to be quiet then the goon in the back stuck me with a needle I felt sleepy but I still tried to fight back, when the transferred me from the car I was still awake but could barely move my body I knew when they carried me inside the building them I fell asleep" she responded. "When I was helpless all I thought about was I will never see you all again my mouth had a funny feeling and I felt that I could not breath properly I was so afraid" she continued.

Akash could not take it anymore he left the room SP followed "Bhai those monsters have to pay for hurting my innocent daughter I won't rest until they do"

"My Bhai don't worry we will make sure they are punished let the legal system do their job we don't to make any rash decisions they must be punished and rot in jai your chacha is old he won't have much time but your bhayia we will ensure he spends the rest of his life there remember they have many different crimes to answer for."

"Yes Suraj bhayia I know but chachi is free and she is a smart old lady, to trap her will be difficult and my Bhabhi is her puppet, we have to be more careful with Aarti's safety as far as they know chacha and bhyia was arrested for their crimes associated with the mafia in Delhi not Aarti's kidnapping "

The Sharma men and Pankaj came out " Bauji Aarti is being discharged Akash uncle you take her home I am going to the airport for the boys "

During the flight home Yash kept praying for his love, Aaman prayed for his sister, and his bhai he tried his best to comfort his Yash bhai who looked so tired, he refused to eat or sleep until he sees Aarti

Finally the flight arrived and they cleared customs by now Yash was a bundle of nerves he wanted to get to his Aarti, then he saw Pankaj he ran towards his brother "How is she bhyia how is my Aarti??"

"Yash relax she is fine Akash uncle ji is taking her home" Pankaj held his younger brother in for a tight hug then he hugged Aaman and updated them on the drive to Akash's house.

When they arrived Yash tried to contain himself but when he saw the ladies in the lounge all his resolve ended Aripta hugged him and lead him to Aarti room with Aaman following Mansi, and Prateek were sitting with their di when they saw the boys their reunion was bitter sweet with lots of hugging and crying. The boys felt a sense of great relief when they saw both Aarti and Mansi were okay. Mansi had her crutches and her leg in a cast while Aarti looked happy and well rested. They told about what happened how Mansi, Prateek, and Pankaj were heroes; Prateek was scolded again by his bhayias then they held on to him and cried thanking him for his bravery Mansi they appreciated her bravery also. Finally the kids decided to leave AarYa alone they needed to be alone to comfort each other.

Alone in Aarti's room Yash went on the bed with her and kissed her he needed the reassurance that she was there and safe in his loving arms Aarti was worried for her Yash he looked so tired, and like he lost some weight in the pass day. Both felt safe in each others arms they comforted each other sharing light kisses until they fell asleep. This is how Aripta found them she smiled to herself went back downstairs and asked the Scindhias if Yash can spend the night with them to which they agreed because they understood that AarYa needed each other.

They awoke late evening Aarti opening her eyes first looking at her handsome sleeping Yash she thought about how much she loves him; that during those hours in which she was held captive she thought about Yash that there was a possibility that she will never see her Yashu again that thought alone made her want to fight for her life to spend all her day with her Yash her love for him and she knows his love for her was the driving force she needed to try and fight of the effects of the drugs. He was home now for the holidays and she planned to make every moment that they spend together be memorable she accepted that they are too young to begin a physical relationship but they can enjoy in other ways.

Yash felt her looking at him and he smiled opening his eyes "Hello my love how are you feeling?"

"I am feeling better now I know you are here, and how are you feeling still tired?"

"Yes what time is it I wonder if ma and the family is here "

"It is almost nine pm, we slept for almost three hours" Aarti smiled giving him a kiss on his lips if only to reassure herself that he is really here in her room on her bed.

Yash now realised where they were "Aarti we are in your new room and I slept on your bed what must our elders thinking" Yash sat up with a worried look on his face.

"Don't worry jaan they know you are worried for me and suffering from jet lag and besides our elders trust us." She responded with a smile

They heard a light knock on the door and Aaripta came in to check on them "Betas you are up Yash beta your parents have allowed you to spend the night here I placed your luggage in the guest room come I will show you and you can freshen up and meet us in the dining room, Aarti beta you too freshen up and show Yash the way to the dining room." Aripta smiled at them and left with Yash following her she asked him how he was feeling now Aripta hugged him at the entrance to the guest room "Beta thank you for loving my daughter so much she is okay now so you can have a good night rest, and tomorrow you can begin your holiday enjoying yourself." She kissed his head and left.

Aarti completed her shower and changed into a light yellow Kurti and leggings she went to Yash's room knock and entered Yash answered her but he was bare chested with a towel around his waist. Aarti blushed when she saw him in a state of undress. Yash smiled and said "Jaan what wrong don't you like my body"

"yashu stop teasing me and go get dressed " she closed her eyes and turned her red face smiling

"But jaan you have seen me in my bathing trunks when we go swimming ever since we were children and you never had a problem" he walked slowly towards her.

"Yashu that was then now we are engage and we must maintain some decorum until we marry jaanu"

"Okay my love but one kiss before I change" He was now standing in front of her and he placed a finger under her chin lifting up her head to gain access to her lips in a slow passionate kiss.

They both entered the dining room holding hands talking and smiling to each other Akash and Aripta were seated waiting for them Aarti's parents just smiled at each other they were so happy and relieved that their baby was safe in their home and she had the love of a remarkable young mas that Yash clearly is. When the kids realized that the elders were there they quickly let go of their hands and made their way to their seats

"Mama only the four of us where are Yash's family?'

"They went home beta all needed a good night rest tomorrow will be a busy day with the court hearings beta don't be afraid when the lawyers question you just relax and answer truthfully."

"Yes beta be the strong brave girl that you are answer just as calmly as you did today with the inspector, we will all be there to give you support okay beta" said Akash smiling at his daughter with so much love and pride shining in his eyes.

" Yash beta you will travel with us okay Aarti needs all the support she can get and it seems that you too needs some support that all will be well. Beta we don't want you to stress yourself too much remember you are only here for three weeks you have to return and complete your studies. We will visit you during the spring break, don't worry son I have made arrangements for more guards a tighter security around Aarti and some extra lessons for both girls in self defence."

"Uncle ji I know you will do your best to protect Aarti, and so will Uncles Sharmas, and my bauji. But uncle ji even the guards are humans and they can be brought to commit an offence I pray to god that there are no such one in the team. Thank god nothing fatal or serious harm did not befall on Aarti, If anything happens to my Aarti again I feel if I don't die I will surely loose my mind and commit a terrible offence"

Akash and Aripta looked at their young future son in law and saw the honesty of his words reflected there in his eyes he loved Aarti and he wanted to protect her but because of the circumstances he was helpless.
