Five months later Pankaj's, and Vidhi's wedding to be held in the beautiful ancestral home of her parents located in a small town in the outskirts of Dehli. The Deo Singhs also have a large farmhouse in that area about a mile away. The Scindhias were using this house as their base for the wedding; coincidentally Vadhi father is a third cousin of Akash, and it was he who brought the proposal to the Scindhias.. This wedding was very hectic especially for G3 as her memory problem increased with age thankfully she had lots of help from the saas, the Sharma's ladies and of course Aripta, there were so much shopping to be done for all the gifts to be given to the bride's family, for their own family, and close relatives, all the necessary items for the various rituals; there was so much to be done after all this is the wedding of the first Scindhia son, and they were a wealthy royal family.The men were in charge of organizing the transport of the luggage/ gifts/ items and arrangement of the tickets for everyone, family/relatives/close friends.

Akash, and Aripta were thrilled to be a part of their best friends eldest son wedding, they, the Scidhias, and the Sharmas considered this is a rehearsal for Aarti/Yash marriage.

Maya and her kids were arriving the day before the engagement to be taken straight to the farmhouse.

Pankaj took the kids shopping he was in charge of their finance, and had strick instructions of what they should buy especially Miss Aarti. Yash knew excatly what he wanted for his Aarti. " Aarti today we will shop for you okay, outfits, and accessories for all the different celebrations" Yash told her with authority "Why Yash are we going as a matching couple?" Aarti replied laughing at his expression " Yes we are a teenage couple and I want everyone to know about it" he said while giving her their buddy hug as they called it, him pulling her close to his side and she placing her hand around his waist." Remember Aarti I told you that you are growing up and you have to start making decisions well today we will start with this shopping." he expounded " Today you will behave just like Mansi, and do a fashion show" with that all the kids laughed Mansi is their resident Diva. "Yash bhayia that is not fair I don't behave like a Diva" complained Mansi making faces at her brother, and dear friends who were laughing at her expense. " No my lioness you just go a little insane while shopping" said Aman "Ahh Mansi di I always with you" said Prateek " They just misunderstand your love for clothes, shoes and girly stuff." he hug her took her hands "we will shop together you can help me choose my clothes."

It was a great day shopping as expected Aarti did not chose expensive stuff for herself, and Yash had a heck of a time to convince her, finally it was little Prateek who was able to get her to accepts the beautiful expensive clothes, and accessories. Aman and Mansi helped their Pankaj bhayia to choose gifts for his bride Vidhi and her family.

They had lunch at a fast food restaurant Aarti had her mushroom pizza "Aarti care to share." asked Yash "only if you share your drink with me' she replied " Mansi di I love the salwar suit you brought you will look stunning in it" said aarti " thank you didi but Yash bhayia choose some amazing outfits for you, you will look gorgeous all the boy will go gaga over you is that not true Yash bhayia" "They can look but not touch" was his simply reply "If anyone touch my didi I will punch them" said Prateek "Chote there will be no punching" said Pankaj " Bhayia that Prashant will be there last time he kept looking at Aarti didi, and would not stop even after Yash Bhayia told him to stop that it is bad manners to stare. I don't like him" said Prateek "Chote Yash Bhai and I will keep him in check this time, you just stay close to your didis okay" responded Aman "Yash why did you not tell me before about Prashant's behaviour?" Asked Pankaj he continued "I will speak to him this time before the celebrations start and all off you tell me if he or any other boys tries to disrespect Aarti, and Mansi" Pankaj was clearly upset about this situation he will speak to dadaji, and bau ji when he reaches home, with bua as his mother there is no telling what he might be up to this time. Pankaj was well aware of his bua feelings for his family, and Aarti.

The day arrived for the families to leave for the farmhouse for the wedding, they will meet Maya and her kids in Dehli. Pankaj wanted Prashant in the same car with him so he can warn him clearly to stay away from Aarti.

AarYa sat together during the flight to Dehli, the train ride to the farmhouse, and car from the train station to the farmhouse. They had fun together reading comics, playing card games, teasing each other and their siblings.

when they arived they were greeted by Akash, and Aripta The room Aarti, and Mansi shared had a portrait of a elegant lady who resembles Aarti "DIDI!! look at that she looks like you, I mean you look like her if you were older She is beautiful I wonder who is she?" said an excited Mansi, Aripta came into the room she smiled at the girls and said "This is a picture of my nani when she was forty years old just two years before I came into this world" "She is beautiful auntie Mansi di said that I look like her. How is that possible auntie?" "Aarti after Pankaj's wedding you can ask me all the questions that you have and I promise that I will try and answer them okay" Aripta said holding Aarti chin and give her a kiss on her cheeks, she patted Mansi cheeks and give her a kiss also; she wanted to personally settle in the girls into this room.

After a hour the Sharma mas came into the room " What a beautifuly decorated room this is, very large and spacious" said chote ma " Mamas look at this picture" said Mansi taking both ladies to the portrait " She looks like Aarti didi don't you think so, Aripta auntie said it is her nani's photo" both ladies looked at the photo and smiled at each other in understanding. Mansi placed her right index finger under her chin saying out loud "I wonder if Aarti didi is related to Aripta auntie" "Mansi what are you saying I am an orphan I don't have parents, and I lived in Indore before I came to you all." said a confused Aarti " Maybe you are a distant relative we all got distant relatives whom we resemble is that not true Mamas??" continued Mansi " Yes you are correct my smart daughter." said badi ma with a bright smile, a little to bright thought Aarti I will speak to Yash, and show him this picture auntie said that she will speak to me after the wedding; maybe there are others paintings in this house.

At dinner everyone met in a large banquet hall in the olden days this was used as a ballroom by the family for their social gatherings, strategically placed were large portraits of both Aripta's and Akash's dead relatives throughout the house. On there way from their room to the dinning area the girls stopped and looked at the portraits unknown to them Yash was also admiring the portraits he stood in front of one and took a second look the lady in the picture bore a slight resemblance to his Aarti she had similar eyes, nose, and long neck. This beautiful lady was standing near a tall handsome man in what appears to be a large garden with a pair of dogs at their feet. Yash was excited seeing this he had always wondered about auntie, and uncle's interest in Aarti, why they bought all those gifts, and they are always taking pictures of her every time they visit. Yash realizes that they were also very protective of Aarti, he always belived that was because they liked her a lot, knew she is an orphan, and wished that they had the chance to adopt her, because as far as he knew they have no children of their own. Now looking at this picture had him thing something different.

Everyone arrived and took a seat at the massive table, Aarti was seated between Yash, and Mansi; she was excited to tell him about her room and the picture, while he was equally excited to tell about the pictures he saw. Yash said "Aarti there is a portrait of a beautiful lady, and her husband in the corridor leading from my room the lady looks somewhat like you, she likes dogs just like you>' refering to her five and half year old doggie who sleeps on her bed at night, Aarti calls him her little bhai Doughnut. "You know what Yash there is a picture of a lady in our room who looks like me Mansi think that I might be related to Auntie because Auntie said the lady is her nani ji" Aarti said with a look of confusion in her eyes she continued "Auntie said after the wedding she will answer my questions. why would she say that Yash?" " I don't know but this sounds mysterious maybe we will find some clues to help us. Do you know the number for the orphanage we can call and ask Shoba ma to tell us what she knows." replied Yash with hope in his voice radiating to his eyes. Ever since she saw that picture, and Mansi said she could be a distant relative of auntie Aripta many questions came in her mind. Was it possible they could be related?? Did uncle, and auntie know she belonged to their family?? So many questions but she felt happy because Yash was with her.

At the other side of the table further to the right of Yash sat Prashant, his two sisters, and Maya bua; Bua ji was busy in conversation with her relatives who wanted to know about her life in Trinidad, and if the children have accepted her as their mother. Prashant was listening half heartily to their conversation answering yes or no when he was asked a question, he was interested in the conversation happining between AarYa; Pankaj bhayia had told him to behave himself around Aarti and show her respect because she is a younger sister to him, now that he [Prashant] was apart of their family Aarti, and Mansi are his younger sisters Prashant had replied that "Yash don't treat Aarti as his sister so why should he", to that Pankaj had sternly replied "Young man I am older than you listen to what I have to say Aarti is a sister to you treat her as such or you will be punished for disrespecting her and disobeying me."

"Bhayia that boy Prashant is staring at us again" inforned Prateek " I think he likes Aarti didi if he keeps on looking at her she will get the evil eye" Prateek looked stright at Prashant and gestured what do you want "I think her wants to make friends with both of you Aman bhayia, Yash bhayia" said Mansi with a smile " Make friends with us no I think he wants to get close to Aarti" answered Aman who shocked all by stating "Lets give him a chance we should befriend him and observe him closely for the next week, after all he will only be here for the wedding and then it is goodbye Prashant." "Aman bhayia you want to give him a chance but I don't want too he is weird always looking at Aarti didi in that weird way.' Prateek expounded. "Prateek listen to this people sometimes say 'keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer' that is what we will be doing for the next week" Aman explained. "If you are sure Aman bhai i will do as you say but I am keeping my eyes on him and my ears opening for everything he says" said Prateek clearly not trusting Prashant.
